1 Crónicas 15

1David se hizo casas en la ciudad de David, y preparó un lugar para el Arca de Dios, erigiendo para ella un Tabernáculo, Also, he made houses for himself in the City of David. And built a place for the ark of God, and he set up a tent for it.2Entonces dijo David: “Solamente los levitas han de llevar el Arca de Dios, pues a ellos los escogió Yahvé para llevar el Arca de Dios, y para hacer el servicio ante Él para siempre.” Then David said: “It is illicit for anyone to carry the ark of God except the Levites, whom the Lord chose to carry it and to minister to himself, even unto eternity.”3Congregó David a todo Israel en Jerusalén para subir el Arca de Yahvé al lugar que para ella había preparado. And he gathered all of Israel in Jerusalem, so that the ark of God might be brought into its place, which he had prepared for it.4David reunió también a los hijos de Aarón y los levitas: Certainly, there were both the sons of Aaron and the Levites:5de los hijos de Caat: a Uriel, el jefe, y sus hermanos: ciento veinte; From the sons of Kohath, Uriel was the leader, and his brothers were one hundred twenty.6de los hijos de Merarí: a Asayá, el jefe, y sus hermanos: doscientos veinte; From the sons of Merari: Asaiah was the leader, and his brothers were two hundred twenty.7de los hijos de Gersón: a Joel, el jefe, y sus hermanos: ciento treinta; From the sons of Gershom: Joel was the leader, and his brothers were one hundred thirty.8de los hijos de Elisafán: a Semeías, el jefe, y sus hermanos: doscientos; From the sons of Elizaphan: Shemaiah was the leader, and his brothers were two hundred.9de los hijos de Hebrón: a Eliel, el jefe, y sus hermanos: ochenta; From the sons of Hebron: Eliel was the leader, and his brothers were eighty.10de los hijos de Uciel: a Aminadab, el jefe, y sus hermanos: ciento doce. From the sons of Uzziel: Amminadab was the leader, and his brothers were one hundred twelve.11David llamó también a los sacerdotes Sadoc y Abiatar, y a los levitas Uriel, Asaías, Joel, Semeías, Eliel y Aminadab, And David summoned the priests, Zadok and Abiathar, and the Levites: Uriel, Asaiah, Joel, Shemaiah, Eliel, and Amminadab.12y les dijo: “Vosotros sois los jefes de las casas paternas de los levitas. Santificaos, vosotros y vuestros hermanos, para subir el Arca de Yahvé, el Dios de Israel, al lugar que para ella tengo preparado; And he said to them: “You who are the leaders of the Levitical families, be sanctified with your brothers, and bring the ark of the Lord God of Israel to the place that has been prepared for it.13pues por no (haberla llevado) vosotros la vez anterior, Yahvé, nuestro Dios, nos ha castigado, porque no le buscábamos conforme a la Ley.” Otherwise, as it was before, when the Lord struck us because you were not present, so also it might be now, if we do what is illicit.”14Los sacerdotes se santificaron y los levitas, para subir el Arca de Yahvé, el Dios de Israel. Therefore, the priests and the Levites were sanctified, so that they might carry the ark of the Lord God of Israel.15Y los hijos de los levitas llevaron el Arca de Dios, a hombros, con las varas puestas sobre los mismos, como lo había ordenado Moisés, según la palabra de Dios. And the sons of Levi took the ark of God, just as Moses had instructed, in accord with the word of the Lord, upon their shoulders by the bars.16Dijo David a los jefes de los levitas, que eligieran entre sus hermanos a los cantores aptos para tocar los instrumentos músicos, salterios, cítaras y címbalos; para que los hiciesen resonar, alzando la voz con júbilo. And David spoke to the leaders of the Levites, so that they might appoint, from their brothers, singers with musical instruments, specifically, psalteries, and harps, and cymbals, so that a joyful noise might resound on high.17Los levitas designaron a Hernán, hijo de Joel, y de sus hermanos a Asaf, hijo de Baraquías, y de los hijos de Merarí, hermanos suyos, a Etán, hijo de Cusaías; And they appointed from the Levites: Heman, the son of Joel; and from his brothers, Asaph, the son of Berechiah; and truly, from their brothers, the sons of Merari: Ethan, the son of Kushaiah.18y con ellos a sus hermanos de segundo orden: a Zacarías, Ben, Jaazael, Semiramot, Jehiel, Uní, Eliab, Banaías, Maasías, Matatías, Elifelehu, Micneías, Obededom y Jeiel, porteros. And with them were their brothers in the second rank: Zechariah, and Ben, and Jaaziel, and Shemiramoth, and Jahiel, and Unni, and Eliab, and Benaiah, and Maaseiah, and Mattithiah, and Eliphelehu, and Mikneiah, and Obededom, and Jeiel, who were gatekeepers.19Los cantores, Hernán, Asaf y Etán, tenían címbalos de bronce para hacerlos resonar. Now the singers, Heman, Asaph, and Ethan, were sounding out with cymbals of brass.20Zacarías, Uciel, Semiramot, Jehiel, Uní, Eliab, Maasías y Banaías tenían salterios de tonos altos. And Zechariah, and Aziel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehiel, and Unni, and Eliab, and Maaseiah, and Benaiah were singing mysteries with the psalteries.21Matatías, Elifelehu, Micneías, Obededom, Jeiel y Asacías tenían cítaras de octava, para dirigir (el canto). Then Mattithiah, and Eliphelehu, and Mikneiah and Obededom, and Jeiel and Azaziah were singing a song of victory with the harps, for the octave.22Conenías, jefe de los levitas portadores, dirigía el transporte, porque era hombre entendido. Now Chenaniah, the leader of the Levites, was foremost over the prophecies, in order to mark out in advance the melodies. For indeed, he was very skillful.23Baraquías y Elcaná eran porteros del Arca. And Berechiah and Elkanah were porters of the ark.24Los sacerdotes Sebanías, Josafat, Natanael, Amasías, Zacarías, Banaías y Eliéser tocaban las trompetas delante del Arca de Dios. Obededom y Jehías eran porteros del Arca. And the priests, Shebaniah, and Joshaphat, and Nethanel, and Amasai, and Zechariah, and Benaiah, and Eliezer, were sounding the trumpets before the ark of God. And Obededom and Jehiah were porters of the ark.25David, los ancianos de Israel, y los jefes militares, fueron a traer el Arca de la Alianza de Yahvé, desde la casa de Obededom. Estaban llenos de alegría, Therefore, David, and all those greater by birth of Israel, and the tribunes, went to carry the ark of the covenant of the Lord from the house of Obededom with rejoicing.26y para que Dios asistiese a los levitas, portadores del Arca de la Alianza de Yahvé, sacrificaron siete becerros y siete carneros. Now David was clothed with a robe of fine linen, as were all the Levites who were carrying the ark, and the singers, and Chenaniah, the leader of the prophecy among the singers. But David was also clothed with a linen ephod.28Todo Israel acompañaba el traslado del Arca de la Alianza de Yahvé con gritos de júbilo, al son de clarines y trompetas y címbalos, y haciendo resonar los salterios y las cítaras. And all of Israel were leading back the ark of the covenant of the Lord with jubilation, sounding out with the noise of horns, and trumpets, and cymbals, and psalteries, and harps.29Mas cuando el Arca de la Alianza de Yahvé llegó a la ciudad de David, y Micol, hija de Saúl, mirando por una ventana, vio al rey David saltando y bailando, le despreció en su corazón. And when the ark of the covenant of the Lord had arrived in the City of David, Michal, the daughter of Saul, gazing through a window, saw king David dancing and playing, and she despised him in her heart.
