1 Crónicas 16

1Entraron el Arca de Dios y la colocaron en medio del Tabernáculo que David había erigido para ella; y ofrecieron ante Dios holocaustos y sacrificios pacíficos. And so they took the ark of God, and they set it in the midst of the tabernacle, which David had pitched for it. And they offered holocausts and peace offerings before God.2Cuando David hubo acabado de ofrecer los holocaustos y los sacrificios pacíficos, bendijo al pueblo en nombre de Yahvé, And when David had completed offering holocausts and peace offerings, he blessed the people in the name of the Lord.3y distribuyó a toda la gente de Israel, hombres y mujeres, a cada uno, una torta de pan, una porción de carne y un pastel de uvas pasas. And he divided to every single one, from men even to women, a twist of bread, and a piece of roasted beef, and fine wheat flour fried with oil.4Y puso levitas que habían de hacer el servicio delante del Arca de Yahvé, invocando, alabando y ensalzando a Yahvé, el Dios de Israel. And he appointed some from the Levites who would minister before the ark of the Lord, and commemorate his works, and glorify and praise the Lord, the God of Israel.5Asaf era el jefe; después de él, Zacarías, Jeiel, Semiramot, Jehiel, Matatías, Eliab, Banaías, Obededom y Jeiel, que tenían salterios y cítaras. Asaf hacía sonar los címbalos. Asaph was the leader, and second to him was Zechariah. In addition, there were Jeiel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehiel, and Mattithiah, and Eliab, and Benaiah, and Obededom. And Jeiel was over the instruments of the psaltery and the harps. But Asaph sounded out with the cymbals.6Los sacerdotes Banaías y Jahaziel estaban con trompetas continuamente delante del Arca de la Alianza de Yahvé. Truly, the priests, Benaiah and Jahaziel, were to sound the trumpet continually before the ark of the covenant of the Lord.7Entonces, en aquel día, David dio por primera vez (este himno) en manos de Asaf y de sus hermanos para que alabasen a Yahvé: In that day, David made Asaph the leader, in order to confess to the Lord with his brothers:8“¡Alabad a Yahvé, invocad su nombre; pregonad a las naciones sus proezas! “Confess to the Lord, and invoke his name. Make known his endeavors among the peoples.9¡Cantadle, tañed salmos en su honor; narrad todas sus maravillas! Sing to him, and sing psalms to him, and describe all his miracles.10¡Gloriaos en su santo Nombre; alégrese el corazón de los que buscan a Yahvé! Praise his holy name! Let the heart of those who seek the Lord rejoice!11¡Buscad a Yahvé y su fortaleza; buscad de continuo su Rostro! Seek the Lord and his virtue. Seek his face always.12¡Acordaos de las maravillas que Él ha hecho, de sus prodigios y de los juicios de su boca, Remember his miracles, which he has accomplished, his signs, and the judgments of his mouth.13oh hijos de Israel, su siervo, descendientes de Jacob, sus elegidos! O offspring of Israel, his servants! O sons of Jacob, his elect!14Él es Yahvé, Dios nuestro; Él es quien juzga toda la tierra. He is the Lord our God. His judgments are throughout all the earth.15Recordad para siempre su Alianza, la palabra valedera para mil generaciones; Remember forever his covenant, the word that he instructed unto a thousand generations,16el pacto que firmó con Abrahán, y el juramento que prestó a Isaac. the covenant that he formed with Abraham, and his oath with Isaac.17Lo estableció para Jacob como ley, y para Israel como alianza eterna; And he appointed the same to Jacob as a precept, and to Israel as an everlasting pact,18diciendo: “Te daré el país de Canaán, como parte de vuestra herencia.” saying: ‘To you, I will give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance.’19Cuando erais escasa gente, poco numerosos, y extranjeros en el país; At that time, they were small in number, they were few and were settlers there.20cuando iban de una nación a otra, y de un reino a otro pueblo, And they passed through, from nation to nation, and from one kingdom to another people.21no permitió que nadie los oprimiese. Por amor de ellos castigó a reyes; He did not permit anyone to falsely accuse them. Instead, he reproved kings on their behalf:22“¡No toquéis a mis ungidos, ni hagáis mal a mis profetas!” ‘Do not touch my Christ. And do not malign my prophets.’23Cantad a Yahvé, oh tierra toda, anunciad de día en día su salvación. Sing to the Lord, all the earth! Announce his salvation, from day to day.24Narrad entre las naciones su gloria, sus maravillas a todos los pueblos. Describe his glory among the Gentiles, his miracles among all the peoples.25Pues grande es Yahvé, y digno de toda alabanza; y más temible que todos los dioses. For the Lord is great and exceedingly praiseworthy. And he is terrible, above all gods.26Porque ídolos son todos los dioses de los pueblos. Yahvé ha creado los cielos; For all the gods of the peoples are idols. But the Lord made the heavens.27gloria y majestad están ante Él, fortaleza y alegría, en su Morada. Confession and magnificence are before him. Strength and gladness are in his place.28Tributad a Yahvé, oh familias de los pueblos, dad a Yahvé la gloria y el poder! Bring to the Lord, O families of the peoples, bring to the Lord glory and dominion.29¡Tributad a Yahvé la gloria de su Nombre! ¡Traed ofrendas, y presentaos delante de Él! ¡Adorad a Yahvé con adorno sagrado! Give glory to the Lord, to his name. Lift up sacrifice, and approach before his sight. And adore the Lord in holy attire.30¡Conmuévase ante Él toda la tierra! Firme está el orbe, y no será conmovido. Let all the earth be moved before his face. For he founded the globe immoveable.31¡Regocíjense los cielos, y alégrese la tierra; digan los gentiles: “¡Yahvé es rey!” Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth exult. And let them say among the nations, ‘The Lord has reigned.’32¡Brame el mar, y cuanto lo llena! ¡Salten de júbilo los campos, y cuanto en ellos existe! Let the sea roar, with all its plenitude. Let the fields exult, with all that is in them.33Prorrumpan en gritos de alegría los árboles de la selva, ante Yahvé; pues viene a juzgar la tierra. Then the trees of the forest will give praise before the Lord. For he comes to judge the earth.34¡Alabad a Yahvé, porque Él es bueno, porque es eterna su misericordia! Confess to the Lord, for he is good. For his mercy is eternal.35Y decid: “¡Sálvanos, oh Dios de nuestra salvación; reúnenos y líbranos de las naciones, para que celebremos tu santo Nombre, y nos gloriemos, cantando tus alabanzas! And say: ‘Save us, O God our savior! And gather us together, and rescue us from the nations, so that we may confess to your holy name, and may exult in your songs.36Bendito sea Yahvé, el Dios de Israel, por eternidad de eternidades.” Y todo el pueblo dijo: “Amén”, y alabó a Yahvé. Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel, from eternity to eternity.’ And let all the people say, ‘Amen,’ and let them sing a hymn to the Lord.”37Entonces dejó (David) allí, delante del Arca de la Alianza de Yahvé, a Asaf y sus hermanos, para el servicio continuo delante del Arca, según el reglamento de cada día; And so, there before the ark of the covenant of the Lord, he left Asaph and his brothers, so that they might minister in the sight of the ark continually, throughout each day, and in their turns.38y a Obededom, con sus hermanos, en número de sesenta y ocho; y a Obededom, hijo de Iditún, y a Hosá, como porteros; Now Obededom and his brothers were sixty-eight. And he appointed Obededom, the son of Jeduthun, and Hosah to be porters.39asimismo a Sadoc, el sacerdote, y sus hermanos, los sacerdotes, delante de la Morada de Yahvé, en la altura de Gabaón, But Zadok the priest, and his brothers the priests, were before the tabernacle of the Lord in the high place, which was in Gibeon,40para que ofreciesen continuamente holocaustos a Yahvé en el altar del holocausto, por la mañana y por la tarde, según todo lo dispuesto en la Ley de Yahvé, que Él había prescrito a Israel. so that they could offer holocausts to the Lord upon the altar of holocausts continually, morning and evening, according to all that was written in the law of the Lord, which he instructed to Israel.41Con ellos (estableció) a Hemán y a Iditún, y a los otros escogidos y nominalmente designados, para alabar a Yahvé: “Porque su misericordia es eterna.” And after him, Heman, and Jeduthun, and the remainder of the elect, each one by his name, were appointed to confess to the Lord: “For his mercy endures forever.”42Con ellos estaban, pues, Hemán e Iditún, que tenían las trompetas y los címbalos para cuantos los tocaban, y los instrumentos para los cánticos de Dios. Los hijos de Iditún eran porteros. Also Heman and Jeduthun sounded the trumpet, and they played upon the cymbals, and upon every kind of musical instrument, in order to sing praises to God. But the sons of Jeduthun he made to be porters.43Luego todo el pueblo se fue, cada cual a su casa; también David se volvió para bendecir su casa. And all the people returned to their houses, and David also, so that he might bless his own house too.
