1Después de esto derrotó David a los filisteos y los sojuzgó, arrebatando a Gat y sus aldeas de las manos de los filisteos. In that time, David also struck Hadadezer, the king of Zobah, in the region of Hamath, when he went forth so that he might extend his dominion as far as the river Euphrates.4David le quitó mil carros, siete mil soldados de a caballo y veinte mil hombres de a pie; y desjarretó David todos los tiros de carro, dejando de ellos solamente para cien carros. Then David seized one thousand of his four-horse chariots, and seven thousand horsemen, and twenty thousand men on foot. Then the Syrians of Damascus also arrived, so that they might offer assistance to Hadadezer, the king of Zobah.
