1 Corintios 5
1Es ya del dominio público que entre vosotros hay fornicación, y fornicación tal, cual ni siquiera entre los gentiles, a saber: que uno tenga la mujer de su padre. Above all else, it is being said that there is fornication among you, even fornication of a such kind that is not among the Gentiles, so that someone would have the wife of his father.2Y vosotros estáis engreídos, en vez de andar de luto, para que sea quitado de en medio de vosotros el que tal hizo. And yet you are inflated, and you have not instead been grieved, so that he who has done this thing would be taken away from your midst.3Pero yo, aunque ausente en cuerpo, mas presente en espíritu, he juzgado, como si estuviese presente, al que tal hizo. Certainly, though absent in body, I am present in spirit. Thus, I have already judged, as if I were present, him who has done this.4Congregados en el nombre de nuestro Señor Jesús vosotros y mi espíritu, con el poder de nuestro Señor Jesús, In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, you have been gathered together with my spirit, in the power of our Lord Jesus,5sea entregado ese tal a Satanás, para destrucción de su carne, a fin de que el espíritu sea salvo en el día del Señor Jesús. to hand over such a one as this to Satan, for the destruction of the flesh, so that the spirit may be saved in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.6No es bueno que os jactéis así. ¿Acaso no sabéis que poca levadura pudre toda la masa? It is not good for you to glory. Do you not know that a little leaven corrupts the entire mass?7Expurgad la vieja levadura, para que seáis una masa nueva, así como sois ázimos porque ya nuestra Pascua, Cristo, ha sido inmolada. Purge the old leaven, so that you may become the new bread, for you are unleavened. For Christ, our Passover, has now been immolated.8Festejemos, pues, no con levadura añeja ni con levadura de malicia y de maldad, sino con ázimos de sinceridad y de verdad. And so, let us feast, not with the old leaven, not with the leaven of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.9Os escribí en la carta que no tuvieseis trato con los fornicarios. As I have written to you in an epistle: “Do not associate with fornicators,”10No digo con los fornicarios de este mundo en general, o con los avaros, ladrones o idólatras, pues entonces tendríais que salir del mundo. certainly not with the fornicators of this world, nor with the greedy, nor with robbers, nor with the servants of idolatry. Otherwise, you ought to depart from this world.11Mas lo que ahora os escribo es que no tengáis trato con ninguno que, llamándose hermano, sea fornicario, o avaro, o idólatra, o maldiciente, o borracho, o ladrón; con ese tal ni siquiera toméis bocado. But now I have written to you: do not associate with anyone who is called a brother and yet is a fornicator, or greedy, or a servant of idolatry, or a slanderer, or inebriated, or a robber. With such a one as this, do not even take food.12pues ¿qué tengo yo que juzgar a los de afuera? ¿No es a los de adentro a quienes habéis de juzgar? For what have I to do with judging those who are outside? But do not even you yourselves judge those who are inside?13A los que son de afuera los juzgará Dios: “Quitad al malvado de en medio de vosotros”. For those who are outside, God will judge. But send this evil person away from yourselves.
