1Pedro, apóstol de Jesucristo, a los advenedizos de la diáspora en el Ponto, Galacia, Capadocia, Asia y Bitinia, Peter, Apostle of Jesus Christ, to the newly-arrived elect of the dispersion in Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia,2elegidos conforme a la presciencia de Dios Padre, por la santificación del Espíritu, para obedecer a Jesucristo y ser rociados con su sangre: gracia y paz os sean dadas en abundancia. in accord with the foreknowledge of God the Father, in the sanctification of the Spirit, with the obedience and the sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: May grace and peace be multiplied for you.3Bendito sea el Dios y Padre de nuestro Señor Jesucristo que, según la abundancia de su misericordia, nos ha engendrado de nuevo para una esperanza viva, mediante la resurrección de Jesucristo de entre los muertos; Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to his great mercy has regenerated us into a living hope, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead:4para una herencia que no puede corromperse, ni mancharse, ni marchitarse, y que está reservada en los cielos para vosotros unto an incorruptible and undefiled and unfading inheritance, which is reserved for you in heaven.5los que, por el poder de Dios, sois guardados mediante la fe para la salvación que está a punto de manifestarse en (este) último tiempo. For you have been born again, not from corruptible seed, but from what is incorruptible, from the Word of God, living and remaining for all eternity.24Porque “toda carne es como heno, y toda su gloria, como la flor del heno.
