1. Pablo y Silvano y Timoteo, a la Iglesia de los tesalonicenses, en Dios Padre y en el Señor Jesucristo: gracia a vosotros y paz. Paul and Sylvanus and Timothy, to the church of the Thessalonians, in God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.2Siempre damos gracias a Dios por todos vosotros, haciendo sin cesar memoria de vosotros en nuestras oraciones. Grace and peace to you. We give thanks to God always for all of you, keeping the memory of you in our prayers without ceasing,3Nos acordamos ante Dios y Padre nuestro de la obra de vuestra fe, y del trabajo de vuestra caridad, y de la paciencia de vuestra esperanza en nuestro Señor Jesucristo, remembering your work of faith, and hardship, and charity, and enduring hope, in our Lord Jesus Christ, before God our Father.4porque conocemos, hermanos amados de Dios, vuestra elección. For we know, brothers, beloved of God, of your election.5Pues nuestro Evangelio llegó a vosotros no solamente en palabras, sino también en poder, y en el Espíritu Santo, y con toda plenitud, y así bien sabéis cuáles fuimos entre vosotros por amor vuestro. For our Gospel has not been among you in word alone, but also in virtue, and in the Holy Spirit, and with a great fullness, in the same manner as you know we have acted among you for your sake.6Vosotros os hicisteis imitadores nuestros y del Señor, recibiendo la palabra en medio de grande tribulación con gozo del Espíritu Santo; And so, you became imitators of us and of the Lord, accepting the Word in the midst of great tribulation, but with the joy of the Holy Spirit.7de modo que llegasteis a ser un ejemplo para todos los fieles de Macedonia y de Acaya. So have you become a pattern for all who believe in Macedonia and in Achaia.8Así es que desde vosotros ha repercutido la Palabra del Señor, no solo por Macedonia y Acaya, sino que en todo lugar la fe vuestra, que es para con Dios, se ha divulgado de tal manera que nosotros no tenemos necesidad de decir palabra. For from you, the Word of the Lord was spread, not only in Macedonia and in Achaia, but also in every place.
