2 Corintios 13
1Por tercera vez voy a vosotros. “Por el testimonio de dos testigos, o de tres, se decidirá toda cuestión”. Behold, this is the third time that I am coming to you. By the mouth of two or three witnesses, every word shall stand.2Lo he dicho antes y lo repito de antemano —ausente ahora, como en la segunda visita hallándome presente— a los que antes pecaron y a todos los demás, que si voy otra vez no perdonaré, I have preached when present, and I will preach now while absent, to those who sinned before, and to all the others, because, when I arrive again, I will not be lenient with you.3ya que buscáis una prueba de que Cristo habla en mí, pues Él no es débil con vosotros, pero sí fuerte en vosotros. Do you seek evidence that it is Christ who speaks in me, who is not weak with you, but is powerful with you?4Porque fue crucificado como débil, mas vive del poder de Dios. Así también nosotros somos débiles en Él, pero viviremos con Él en virtud del poder de Dios en orden a vosotros. For although he was crucified in weakness, yet he lives by the power of God. And yes, we are weak in him. But we shall live with him by the power of God among you.5Probaos a vosotros mismos para saber si tenéis la fe. Vosotros mismos examinaos. ¿O no reconocéis vuestro interior como que Jesucristo está en vosotros? A no ser que estéis reprobados. Test yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Examine yourselves. Or do you yourselves not know whether Christ Jesus is in you? But perhaps you are reprobates.6Espero conoceréis que nosotros no estamos reprobados. But I hope you know that we ourselves are not reprobates.7Y rogamos a Dios que no hagáis ningún mal, no para que nosotros aparezcamos aprobados, sino para que vosotros hagáis el bien, aunque nosotros pasemos por réprobos. Now we pray to God that you shall do nothing evil, not so that we may seem to be approved, but so that you may do what is good, even if we seem like reprobates.8Porque nada podemos contra la verdad, sino en favor de la verdad. For we cannot do anything against the truth, but only for the truth.9Nos regocijamos cuando nosotros somos flacos y vosotros fuertes. Lo que pedimos (en nuestra oración) es vuestro perfeccionamiento. For we rejoice that we are weak, while you are strong. This is also what we pray for: your perfection.10Por eso escribo estas cosas ausente, para que presente no tenga que usar de severidad conforme a la potestad que el Señor me dio para edificar y no para destruir. Therefore, I write these things while absent, so that, when present, I may not have to act more harshly, according to the authority which the Lord has given to me, for edification and not for destruction.11Por lo demás, alegraos, hermanos, y perfeccionaos; consolaos, tened un mismo sentir, vivid en paz; y el Dios de la caridad y de la paz será con vosotros. Saludaos unos a otros en ósculo santo. As to the rest, brothers, rejoice, be perfect, be encouraged, have the same mind, have peace. And so the God of peace and love will be with you.12Os saludan todos los santos. Greet one another with a holy kiss. All the saints greet you.13La gracia del Señor Jesucristo y la caridad de Dios (Padre) y la comunicación del Espíritu Santo sea con todos vosotros. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the charity of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen.
