2 Corintios 1
1Pablo, por la voluntad de Dios apóstol de Cristo Jesús, y el hermano Timoteo, a la Iglesia que está en Corinto, con todos los santos de toda la Acaya: Paul, an Apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and Timothy, a brother, to the church of God which is at Corinth, with all the saints who are in all of Achaia:2gracia a vosotros y paz de parte de Dios nuestro Padre, y de nuestro Señor Jesucristo. Grace and peace to you from God our Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ.3Bendito sea el Dios y Padre de nuestro Señor Jesucristo, el Padre de las misericordias y Dios de toda consolación; Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and the God of all consolation.4el cual nos consuela en todas nuestras tribulaciones, para que nosotros podamos consolar a los que están en cualquier tribulación, con el consuelo con que nosotros mismos somos consolados por Dios. He consoles us in all our tribulation, so that we too may be able to console those who are in any kind of distress, through the exhortation by which we also are being exhorted by God.5Porque así como abundan los padecimientos de Cristo para con nosotros, así por Cristo abunda nuestra consolación. For just as the Passion of Christ abounds in us, so also, through Christ, does our consolation abound.6Si sufrimos, es para vuestra consolación y salud; si somos consolados, es para vuestra consolación, que se muestra eficaz por la paciencia con que sufrís los mismos padecimientos que sufrimos nosotros. So, if we are in tribulation, it is for your exhortation and salvation, or if we are in consolation, it is for your consolation, or if we are exhorted, it is for your exhortation and salvation, which results in the patient endurance of the same passion which we also endure.7Y nuestra esperanza sobre vosotros es firme, sabiendo que, así como participáis en los padecimientos, así también en la consolación. So may our hope for you be made firm, knowing that, just as you are participants in the suffering, so also shall you be participants in the consolation.8Pues no queremos, hermanos, que ignoréis nuestra aflicción, que nos sobrevino en Asia, porque fuimos agravados muy sobre nuestras fuerzas hasta tal punto que desesperábamos aun de vivir; For we do not want you to be ignorant, brothers, about our tribulation, which happened to us in Asia. For we were weighed down beyond measure, beyond our strength, so that we became weary, even of life itself.9pero si tuvimos en nuestro interior esa respuesta de la muerte fue para que no confiásemos en nosotros mismos, sino en el Dios que resucita a los muertos. But we had within ourselves the response to death, so that we would not have faith in ourselves, but in God, who raises the dead.10Él nos libró de tan peligrosa muerte, y nos librará aún; en Él confiamos que también en adelante nos librará; He has rescued us, and he is rescuing us, from great peril. In him, we hope that he will continue to rescue us.11cooperando igualmente vosotros en favor nuestro por la oración, a fin de que la gracia que nos fue concedida a nosotros a instancias de muchos, sea ocasión para que muchos la agradezcan por nosotros. And you are assisting, with your prayers for us, so that from many persons, by that which is a gift in us, thanks may be given through many persons, because of us.12Nuestra gloria es esta: el testimonio de nuestra conciencia, según la cual nos hemos conducido en el mundo, y principalmente entre vosotros, con simplicidad y sinceridad de Dios, no según la sabiduría de la carne, sino con la gracia de Dios. For our glory is this: the testimony of our conscience, which is found in simplicity of heart and in sincerity toward God. And it is not with worldly wisdom, but in the grace of God, that we have conversed with this world, and more abundantly toward you.13Pues no os escribimos otras cosas que lo que leéis, o ya conocéis, y espero que lo reconoceréis hasta el fin, For we write nothing else to you other than what you have read and understood. And I hope that you will continue to understand, even unto the end.14así como en parte habéis reconocido que somos motivo de vuestra gloria, como vosotros lo sois de la nuestra en el día de nuestro Señor Jesús. And just as you have acknowledged us in our role, that we are your glory, so also you are ours, unto the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.15En esta confianza quería ir primero a vosotros, para que recibieseis una segunda gracia, And with this confidence, I wanted to come to you sooner, so that you might have a second grace,16y a través de vosotros pasar a Macedonia, y otra vez desde Macedonia volver a vosotros, y ser por vosotros encaminado a Judea. and through you to pass into Macedonia, and to return to you again from Macedonia, and so be led by you on my way to Judea.17Al proponerme esto ¿acaso usé de ligereza? ¿o es que lo que resuelvo, lo resuelvo según la carne, de modo que haya en mí (al mismo tiempo) el sí, sí y el no, no? Then, although I had intended this, did I act lightly? Or in the things that I consider, do I consider according to the flesh, so that there would be, with me, both Yes and No?18Mas Dios es fiel, y así también nuestra palabra dada a vosotros no es sí y no. But God is faithful, so our word, which was set before you, was not, in him, both Yes and No.19Porque el Hijo de Dios, Jesucristo, el que entre vosotros fue predicado por nosotros: por mí, Silvano y Timoteo, no fue sí y no, sino que en Él se ha realizado el sí. For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you through us, through myself and Sylvanus and Timothy, was not Yes, and No; but was simply Yes in him.20Pues cuantas promesas hay de Dios, han hallado el sí en Él; por eso también mediante Él (decimos) a Dios: Amén, para su gloria por medio de nosotros. For whatever promises are of God are, in him, Yes. For this reason, too, through him: Amen to God for our glory.21El que nos confirma juntamente con vosotros, para Cristo, y el que nos ungió es Dios; Now the One who confirms us with you in Christ, and who has anointed us, is God.22el mismo que nos ha sellado, y nos ha dado las arras del Espíritu en nuestros corazones. And he has sealed us, and he has placed the pledge of the Spirit in our hearts.23Yo tomo a Dios por testigo sobre mi alma de que si no he ido a Corinto, es por no heriros; But I call God as a witness to my soul, that I was lenient with you, in that I did not return to Corinth:24porque no queremos ejercer dominio sobre vuestra fe, sino que somos cooperadores de vuestro gozo; pues por la fe estáis firmes. not because we have dominion over your faith, but because we are assistants of your joy. For by faith you stand.
