2 Corintios 4
1Por lo cual, investidos de este ministerio, según la misericordia que se nos ha hecho, no decaemos de ánimo. Therefore, since we have this ministry, and in as much as we have obtained mercy for ourselves, we are not inadequate.2Antes bien, hemos desechado los vergonzosos disimulos, no procediendo con astucia, ni adulterando la palabra de Dios, sino recomendándonos por la manifestación de la verdad a la conciencia de todo hombre en presencia de Dios. For we renounce dishonorable and hidden acts, not walking by craftiness, nor by adulterating the Word of God. Instead, by the manifestation of truth, we commend ourselves to the conscience of each man before God.3Si todavía nuestro Evangelio aparece cubierto con un velo, ello es para los que se pierden; But if our Gospel is in some way hidden, it is hidden to those who are perishing.4para los incrédulos, en los cuales el dios de este siglo ha cegado los entendimientos a fin de que no resplandezca (para ellos) la luz del Evangelio de la gloria de Cristo, el cual es la imagen de Dios; As for them, the god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that the light of the Gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, would not shine in them.5porque no nos predicamos a nosotros mismos, sino a Cristo Jesús como Señor, y a nosotros como siervos vuestros por Jesús, For we are not preaching about ourselves, but about Jesus Christ our Lord. We are merely your servants through Jesus.6pues Dios que dijo: “Brille la luz desde las tinieblas” es quien resplandeció en nuestros corazones, para iluminación del conocimiento de la gloria de Dios en el rostro de Cristo. For God, who told the light to shine out of darkness, has shined a light into our hearts, to illuminate the knowledge of the splendor of God, in the person of Christ Jesus.7Pero este tesoro lo llevamos en vasijas de barro, para que la excelencia del poder sea de Dios, y no de nosotros. But we hold this treasure in earthen vessels, so that what is sublime may be of the power of God, and not of us.8De todas maneras atribulados, mas no abatidos; sumergidos en apuros, mas no desalentados; In all things, we endure tribulation, yet we are not in anguish. We are constrained, yet we are not destitute.9perseguidos, mas no abandonados; derribados, mas no destruidos, We suffer persecution, yet we have not been abandoned. We are thrown down, yet we do not perish.10siempre llevamos por doquiera en el cuerpo la muerte de Jesús, para que también la vida de Jesús se manifieste en nuestro cuerpo. We ever carry around the mortification of Jesus in our bodies, so that the life of Jesus may also be manifested in our bodies.11Porque nosotros, los que (realmente) vivimos, somos siempre entregados a la muerte por causa de Jesús, para que de igual modo la vida de Jesús sea manifestada en nuestra carne mortal. For we who live are ever handed over unto death for the sake of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be manifested in our mortal flesh.12De manera que en nosotros obra la muerte, mas en vosotros la vida. Therefore, death is at work in us, and life is at work in you.13Pero, teniendo el mismo espíritu de fe, según está escrito: “Creí, y por esto hablé”; también nosotros creemos, y por esto hablamos; But we have the same Spirit of faith. And just as it is written, “I believed, and for that reason I spoke,” so we also believe, and for that reason, we also speak.14sabiendo que el que resucitó al Señor Jesús nos resucitará también a nosotros con Jesús y nos pondrá en su presencia con vosotros. For we know that the One who raised up Jesus will raise us up also with Jesus and will place us with you.15Porque todo es por vosotros, para que abundando más y más la gracia, haga desbordar por un mayor número (de vosotros) el agradecimiento para gloria de Dios. Thus, all is for you, so that grace, abounding through many in thanksgiving, may abound to the glory of God.16Por lo cual no desfallecemos; antes bien, aunque nuestro hombre exterior vaya decayendo, el hombre interior se renueva de día en día. For this reason, we are not insufficient. But it is as though our outer man is corrupted, while our inner man is renewed from day to day.17Porque nuestra tribulación momentánea y ligera va labrándonos un eterno peso de gloria cada vez más inmensamente; For though our tribulation is, at the present time, brief and light, it accomplishes in us the weight of a sublime eternal glory, beyond measure.18por donde no ponemos nosotros la mirada en las cosas que se ven, sino en las que no se ven; porque las que se ven son temporales, mas las que no se ven, eternas. And we are contemplating, not the things that are seen, but the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are temporal, whereas the things that are not seen are eternal.
