2 Tesalonicenses 3

1Entretanto, hermanos, orad por nosotros, para que la Palabra del Señor corra y sea glorificada como lo es entre vosotros, Concerning other things, brothers, pray for us, so that the Word of God may advance and be glorified, just as it is among you,2y para que seamos librados de los hombres perversos y malignos, pues no todos tienen la fe. and so that we may be freed from pertinacious and evil men. For not everyone is faithful.3Pero fiel es el Señor, el cual os fortalecerá y os guardará del Malo. But God is faithful. He will strengthen you, and he will guard you from evil.4Y por vuestra parte confiamos en el Señor que hacéis y seguiréis haciendo lo que os encomendamos. And we have confidence about you in the Lord, that you are doing, and will continue to do, just as we have instructed.5El Señor dirija vuestros corazones hacia el amor de Dios y la paciencia de Cristo. And may the Lord direct your hearts, in the charity of God and with the patience of Christ.6Os mandamos, hermanos, en nombre de nuestro Señor Jesucristo, que os retiréis de todo hermano que viva desordenadamente y no según las enseñanzas que recibió de nosotros. But we strongly caution you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, to draw yourselves away from every brother who is walking in disorder and not according to the tradition that they received from us.7Pues bien sabéis cómo debéis imitarnos; porque no anduvimos desordenados entre vosotros. For you yourselves know the manner in which you ought to imitate us. For we were not disorderly among you.8De nadie comimos de balde el pan, sino que con fatiga y cansancio trabajamos noche y día para no ser gravosos a ninguno de vosotros; Nor did we eat bread from anyone for free, but rather, we worked night and day, in hardship and weariness, so as not to be burdensome to you.9y no por no tener derecho, sino para presentarnos a vosotros como ejemplo que podáis imitar. It was not as if we had no authority, but this was so that we might present ourselves as an example to you, in order to imitate us.10Por eso, cuando estábamos con vosotros, os mandábamos esto: Si uno no quiere trabajar, tampoco coma. Then, too, while we were with you, we insisted on this to you: that if anyone was not willing to work, neither should he eat.11Porque hemos oído que algunos de vosotros viven en el desorden, sin trabajar, solo ocupándose en cosas vanas. For we have heard that there are some among you who act disruptively, not working at all, but eagerly meddling.12A los tales les ordenamos y exhortamos en el Señor Jesucristo que, trabajando tranquilamente, coman su propio pan. Now we charge those who act in this way, and we beg them in the Lord Jesus Christ, that they work in silence and eat their own bread.13Vosotros, empero, hermanos, no os canséis de hacer el bien. And you, brothers, do not grow weak in doing good.14Si alguno no obedece lo que ordenamos en esta epístola, a ese señaladle para no juntaros con él, a fin de que se avergüence. But if anyone does not obey our word by this epistle, take note of him and do not keep company with him, so that he may be ashamed.15Mas no le miréis como enemigo, antes bien amonestadle como a hermano. But do not be willing to consider him as an enemy; instead, correct him as a brother.16El mismo Señor de la paz os conceda la paz en todo tiempo y en toda forma. El Señor sea con vosotros todos. Then may the Lord of peace himself give you an everlasting peace, in every place. May the Lord be with all of you.17“La salutación va de mi propia mano, Pablo, que es la señal en todas las epístolas. Así escribo. The greeting of Paul with my own hand, which is the seal in every epistle. So do I write.18La gracia de nuestro Señor Jesucristo sea con todos vosotros. May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.
