Daniel 12
1En aquel tiempo se alzará Miguel, el gran príncipe y defensor de los hijos de tu pueblo; y vendrá tiempo de angustia cual nunca ha habido desde que existen naciones hasta ese tiempo. En ese tiempo será librado tu pueblo, todo aquel que se hallare inscrito en el libro. “But at that time Michael will rise up, the great leader, who stands up for the sons of your people. And a time will come, such as has not been from the time that nations began, even until that time. And, at that time, your people will be saved, all who will be found written in the book.2También muchos de los que duermen en el polvo de la tierra se despertarán, unos para vida eterna, otros para ignominia y vergüenza eterna. And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth will awaken: some to everlasting life, and others to a reproach that they will always see.3Entonces los sabios brillarán como el resplandor del firmamento, y los que condujeron a muchos a la justicia, como las estrellas por toda la eternidad. But those who have taught will shine like the brightness of the firmament, and those who instruct many towards justice, like the stars for unending eternity.4Tú, Daniel, encierra estas palabras, y sella el libro hasta el tiempo del fin. Muchos buscarán y se acrecentará el conocimiento.” But you, Daniel, close the message and seal the book, until the established time. Many will pass through, and knowledge will be increased.”5Y yo, Daniel, miré y vi otros dos que estaban en pie el uno aquende el río y el otro allende el río. And I, Daniel, looked, and behold, similarly two others stood up, one over here, on the bank of the river, and the other over there, on the other bank of the river.6Y dijo (uno de los dos) al varón vestido de lino que estaba sobre las aguas del río: “¿Cuándo será el cumplimiento de estas maravillas?” And I said to the man, who was clothed in linen, who stood over the waters of the river, “How long will it be until the end of these wonders?”7Y oí al varón vestido de lino, que estaba sobre las aguas del río, cuando levantando su diestra y su izquierda hacia el cielo juró por Aquel que vive eternamente que eso será dentro de un tiempo, (dos) tiempos y la mitad (de un tiempo) y que todas estas cosas se cumplirán cuando el poder del pueblo santo sea completamente destruido. And I heard the man, who was clothed in linen, who stood over the waters of the river, when he had lifted his right hand and his left hand up to heaven, and had sworn by He who lives forever, that it would be for a time, and times, and half a time. And when the dispersion of the hand of the holy people is completed, all these things will be completed.8Yo oí, pero no comprendí. Dije, “Señor mío: ¿cuál será el fin de estas cosas?” And I heard and did not understand. And I said, “My lord, what will be after these things?”9Y él respondió: “Anda, Daniel; pues estas palabras están cerradas y selladas hasta el tiempo del fin. And he said, “Go, Daniel, for the words are closed and sealed until the predetermined time.10Muchos serán purificados y blanqueados y acrisolados; pero los malos seguirán haciendo el mal, y ninguno de los malvados entenderá; mas los sabios entenderán. Many will be chosen and purified, and, as if by fire, they will be tested, and the impious will act impiously, and none of the impious will understand, yet the teachers will understand.11Desde el tiempo en que será quitado el sacrificio perpetuo y entronizada la abominación desoladora, pasarán mil doscientos noventa días. And from the time when the continual sacrifice will be taken away and the abomination of desolation will be set up, there will be one thousand two hundred ninety days.12¡Bienaventurado el que espere, y llegue a mil trescientos treinta y cinco días! Blessed is he who waits and reaches until one thousand three hundred thirty-five days.13Tú, empero, marcha hacia tu fin y descansa, y te levantarás para (recibir) tu herencia al fin de los días.” But you, go, until the predetermined time, and you will rest and will stand in your allotted place at the end of days.
