Deuteronomio 16
1Guarda el mes de Abib, y celebra la Pascua en honor de Yahvé, tu Dios, pues en el mes de Abib Yahvé, tu Dios, te sacó de Egipto, durante la noche. “Observe the month of new grain, at the beginning of springtime, so that you may accomplish the Passover to the Lord your God. For in this month, the Lord your God led you away from Egypt in the night.2Inmolarás como pascua a Yahvé, tu Dios, ganado menor y mayor en el lugar que Yahvé haya elegido para morada de su nombre. And you shall immolate the Passover to the Lord your God, from sheep and from oxen, in the place which the Lord your God will choose, so that his name may dwell there.3No comerás con ella pan fermentado: por siete días comerás con ella panes ácimos, el pan de la aflicción —porque de prisa saliste de la tierra de Egipto— para que te acuerdes del día de tu salida del país de Egipto, todos los días de tu vida. You shall not eat it with leavened bread. For seven days you shall eat, without leaven, the bread of affliction. For you departed from Egypt in fear. So may you remember the day of your departure from Egypt, throughout all the days of your life.4Durante siete días no se verá levadura contigo en todos tus términos, y de la víctima inmolada a la tarde del día primero, no quedará nada hasta el día siguiente. No leaven shall be present in all your confines for seven days. And by morning, there shall not remain any of the flesh which was immolated on the first day in the evening.5No podrás sacrificar la pascua en cualquiera de las ciudades que Yahvé, tu Dios, te dará; You cannot immolate the Passover in any of your cities, which the Lord your God will give to you, that you wish,6solo en el lugar que Yahvé, tu Dios, escogiere para morada de su nombre, allí has de sacrificar la pascua por la tarde, al ponerse el sol, a la hora en que saliste de Egipto. but only in the place which the Lord your God will choose, so that his name may dwell there. You shall immolate the Passover in the evening, upon the setting of the sun, which is the time when you departed from Egypt.7La cocerás y la comerás en el lugar escogido por Yahvé, tu Dios, y a la mañana siguiente te volverás para irte a tus tiendas. And you shall cook and eat it in the place which the Lord your God will choose, and, rising up in the morning, you shall go into your tent.8Seis días comerás panes ácimos, y el día séptimo habrá asamblea solemne en honor de Yahvé, tu Dios; no harás en él ningún trabajo. For six days, you shall eat unleavened bread. And on the seventh day, because it is the assembly of the Lord your God, you shall do no work.9Contarás siete semanas. Desde el día en que empieces a meter la hoz en la mies, comenzarás a contar siete semanas; You shall number for yourself seven weeks from that day, the day on which you put the sickle to the grain field.10y después celebrarás la fiesta de las Semanas en honor de Yahvé, tu Dios, con generosas ofrendas voluntarias de tu mano, que ofrecerás conforme Yahvé, tu Dios, te haya bendecido. And you shall celebrate the Feast of Weeks, to the Lord your God, with a voluntary oblation from your hand, which you shall offer according to the blessing of the Lord your God.11Y te regocijarás en presencia de Yahvé, tu Dios, tú, tu hijo y tu hija, tu siervo y tu sierva, y el levita que mora dentro de tus puertas, juntamente con el extranjero, el huérfano y la viuda que habitan en medio de ti, en el lugar elegido por Yahvé, tu Dios para morada de su nombre. And you shall feast in the sight of the Lord your God: you, your son and your daughter, your man servant and your woman servant, and the Levite who is within your gates, and the new arrival as well as the orphan and the widow, who abide with you, in the place which the Lord your God will choose, so that his name may dwell there.12Acuérdate de que fuiste siervo en Egipto; por lo cual observa y pon en práctica estas leyes. And you shall recall that you were a servant in Egypt. And you shall preserve and carry out the things that have been instructed.13Celebrarás la fiesta de los Tabernáculos por siete días, una vez acabada la cosecha de tu era y de tu lagar. Likewise, you shall celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles for seven days, when you will have gathered your fruits from the orchard and the winepress.14Y te regocijarás en tu fiesta, tú, tu hijo y tu hija, tu siervo y tu sierva, y también el levita, el extranjero, el huérfano y la viuda, que habitan en tus ciudades. And you shall feast at the time of your festival: you, your son and daughter, your man servant and woman servant, likewise the Levite and the new arrival, the orphan and the widow, who are within your gates.15Siete días celebrarás fiesta en honor de Yahvé, tu Dios, en el lugar escogido por Yahvé; porque Yahvé, tu Dios, te bendecirá en todos tus productos y en todas las obras de tus manos. Entrégate, por tanto, a la alegría. For seven days you shall celebrate feasts to the Lord your God in the place which the Lord will choose. And the Lord your God will bless you in all your crops, and in every work of your hands. And you shall be joyful.16Tres veces al año se presentarán todos tus varones ante Yahvé, tu Dios, en el lugar por Él elegido: en la fiesta de los Ácimos, en la fiesta de las Semanas y en la fiesta de los Tabernáculos; y no se presentarán ante Yahvé con las manos vacías. Three times a year, all your males shall appear in the sight the Lord your God in the place which he will choose: at the Feast of Unleavened Bread, at the Feast of Weeks, and at the Feast of Tabernacles. No one shall appear before the Lord empty.17Cada uno ofrezca a proporción de lo que pueda dar, según la bendición que Yahvé, tu Dios, te haya otorgado. But each one shall offer according to what he will have, according to the blessing of the Lord his God, which he will give to him.18Constituirás jueces y magistrados en todas tus ciudades que Yahvé, tu Dios, te dará según tus tribus, y juzgarán al pueblo con juicio recto. You shall appoint judges and magistrates at all your gates, which the Lord your God will give to you, throughout each of your tribes, so that they may judge the people with a just judgment,19No tuerzas el derecho, no hagas acepción de personas, no aceptes regalos; pues los regalos ciegan los ojos de los sabios y pervierten las palabras de los justos. and not so as to show favoritism to either side. You shall not accept a person’s reputation, nor gifts. For gifts blind the eyes of the wise and alter the words of the just.20Sigue la justicia con rectitud para que vivas y poseas la tierra que Yahvé, tu Dios, va a darte. You shall justly pursue what is just, so that you may live and possess the land, which the Lord your God will give to you.21No plantarás ascheras, ningún árbol (sagrado) junto al altar que erigieres para Yahvé, tu Dios, You shall not plant a sacred grove, nor shall you plant any tree near the altar of the Lord your God;22ni te levantarás piedras de culto porque Yahvé, tu Dios, aborrece estas cosas. you shall neither make nor set up for yourself a statue. These things the Lord your God hates.”
