Deuteronomio 33

¹Esta es la bendición que Moisés varón de Dios, antes de morir, dio a los hijos de Israel. This is the blessing, with which Moses, the man of God, blessed the sons of Israel before his death.²Dijo: “Vino Yahvé del Sinaí, se les apareció desde Seír, resplandeció desde el monte Farán, avanzando en medio de santas miríadas, con centellas de fuego en su diestra; And he said: “The Lord went forth from Sinai, and he arose for us from Seir. He appeared from Mount Paran, and thousands of holy ones were with him. The fiery law was in his right hand.³pues Él ama a su pueblo. Todos sus santos están en su mano. He shall remain all day long, as if in a bridal chamber, and he shall rest amid her arms.”¹³Sobre José dijo: “Bendita de Yahvé sea tu tierra, con lo más precioso del cielo, el rocío, con (los manantiales del) abismo de abajo; Likewise, to Joseph he said: “His land shall be from the blessing of the Lord, from the fruits of heaven, and from the dew, and from the abyss which lies below,¹⁴con lo mejor de los productos del sol, con el más excelente (fruto) de los meses, from the fruits of the crops under the sun and the moon,¹⁵con lo mejor de los montes antiguos, con lo más rico de los collados eternos; from the heights of the ancient mountains, from the fruits of the everlasting hills,¹⁶con lo más exquisito de la tierra -y de su abundancia. ¡Que el favor de Aquel que habitó en la zarza venga sobre la cabeza de José, sobre la frente del príncipe de sus hermanos! and from the fruits of the earth with all its plenitude. He shall possess the sea and the Meridian.”²⁴Sobre Aser dijo: “Aser es el bendito entre los hijos, el favorecido entre sus hermanos, y baña su pie en aceite. Let him be pleasing to his brothers, and let him dip his foot in oil.²⁵De hierro y de bronce son tus cerrojos, y tan largo, como tus días, tu reposo.” His shoe shall be of iron and of brass. He is the shield of your assistance and the sword of your glory. Your enemies will refuse to acknowledge you, and so you shall tread upon their necks.”
