Deuteronomio 33
This is the blessing, with which Moses, the man of God, blessed the sons of Israel before his death.2Dijo: “Vino Yahvé del Sinaí, se les apareció desde Seír, resplandeció desde el monte Farán, avanzando en medio de santas miríadas, con centellas de fuego en su diestra; And he said: “The Lord went forth from Sinai, and he arose for us from Seir. He appeared from Mount Paran, and thousands of holy ones were with him. The fiery law was in his right hand.3pues Él ama a su pueblo. Todos sus santos están en su mano. Sentados a tus pies cada uno recibe tus palabras. He loved the people; all the holy ones are in his hand. And those who approach his feet shall receive from his doctrine.4Moisés nos dio la Ley, que es herencia del pueblo de Jacob. Moses instructed us in the law, the inheritance of the multitude of Jacob.5Él fue rey en Yeschurún cuando se congregaron los jefes del pueblo, se juntaron las tribus de Israel.” The king shall have great righteousness, at the gathering of the princes of the people with the tribes of Israel.6“¡Viva Rubén, y no muera, aunque sea pequeño su número!” Let Ruben live, and not die, and may he be small in number.”7He aquí lo que dijo sobre Judá: “Oye, Yahvé, la voz de Judá, y dale parte en su pueblo, por el cual luchan sus manos; sé tú su auxilio contra sus adversarios.” This is the blessing of Judah. “Hear, O Lord, the voice of Judah, and lead him to his people. His hands shall fight for him, and he shall be his helper against his adversaries.”8Sobre Leví dijo: “Tus Tummim y Urim tiene tu varón santo, al cual pusiste a prueba en Masá, y por el cual luchaste junto a las aguas de Meribá; Likewise, to Levi he said: “Your perfection and your doctrine are for your holy man, whom you have proven by temptation, and whom you have judged at the Waters of Contradiction.9el que dijo a su padre y a su madre: ‘No los he visto’; y no hizo caso de sus hermanos, ni reconoció a sus propios hijos. Porque guardaron tu palabra y vigilaron sobre tu Alianza. He has said to his father and to his mother, ‘I do not know you,’ and to his brothers, ‘I will disregard you.’ And they have not known their own sons. Such as these have kept your word and have observed your covenant:10Ellos enseñan tus juicios a Jacob, y tu ley a Israel; ofrecen incienso delante de Ti, y holocaustos sobre tu altar. your judgments, O Jacob, and your law, O Israel. They shall place incense before your fury and a holocaust upon your altar.11¡Bendice, oh Yahvé, su fortaleza, acepta la obra de sus manos; destroza las espaldas de sus enemigos y de los que le odian para que no se levanten más!” O Lord, bless his strength, and receive the works of his hands. Strike the backs of his enemies, and do not let those who hate him rise up.”12Sobre Benjamín dijo: “Amado de Yahvé habitará en seguridad a Su lado; Yahvé le protegerá siempre; entre sus hombros tendrá su morada.” And to Benjamin he said: “The most beloved of the Lord will live confidently in him. He shall remain all day long, as if in a bridal chamber, and he shall rest amid her arms.”13Sobre José dijo: “Bendita de Yahvé sea tu tierra, con lo más precioso del cielo, el rocío, con (los manantiales del) abismo de abajo; Likewise, to Joseph he said: “His land shall be from the blessing of the Lord, from the fruits of heaven, and from the dew, and from the abyss which lies below,14con lo mejor de los productos del sol, con el más excelente (fruto) de los meses, from the fruits of the crops under the sun and the moon,15con lo mejor de los montes antiguos, con lo más rico de los collados eternos; from the heights of the ancient mountains, from the fruits of the everlasting hills,16con lo más exquisito de la tierra -y de su abundancia. ¡Que el favor de Aquel que habitó en la zarza venga sobre la cabeza de José, sobre la frente del príncipe de sus hermanos! and from the fruits of the earth with all its plenitude. May the blessing of him who appeared in the bush, settle upon the head of Joseph, and upon the top of the head of the Nazarite among his brothers.17Como su toro primogénito es su fuerza; sus cuernos son como los cuernos del búfalo: con ellos acornea a todos los pueblos juntos hasta los confines de la tierra. Tales son las miríadas de Efraím, tales los millares de Manasés.” His excellence is like that of a first-born bull. His horns are like the horns of a rhinoceros; he shall brandish these against the Gentiles, even to the ends of the earth. These are the multitudes of Ephraim, and these the thousands of Manasseh.”18A Zabulón le dijo: “Regocíjate, Zabulón, en tu tráfico, y tu Isacar, en tus tiendas. And to Zebulun he said: “Rejoice, O Zebulun, in your departure, and Issachar, in your tabernacles.19Invitan a los pueblos a la montaña; allí ofrecen sacrificios de justicia; pues chupan las riquezas del mar, y los tesoros escondidos de la costa.” They shall summon the peoples to the mountain. There, they shall immolate the victims of justice, who feed on the flood of the sea, as if on milk, and on the hidden treasures of the sands.”20Sobre Gad dijo: “¡Bendito el que ensanchó a Gad! Está echado como leona, desgarra a una el brazo con la cabeza. And to Gad he said: “Blessed is Gad in his breadth. He has rested like a lion, and he has seized the arm and the top of the head.21Eligió el primero su parte, porque allí se guardaba la porción del príncipe. Marchando al frente del pueblo, ejecutó los decretos de Yahvé, y sus juicios junto con Israel.” And he has seen his own pre-eminence, which his teacher has stored up as his portion. He was with the princes of the people, and he accomplished the justices of the Lord, and his judgment with Israel.”22Sobre Dan dijo: “Dan es cachorro de león, que se lanza desde Basan.” Likewise, to Dan he said: “Dan is a young lion. He shall flow plentifully from Bashan.”23Sobre Neftalí dijo: “Neftalí goza de favores, y colmado de la bendición de Yahvé posee el mar y el mediodía.” And to Naphtali he said: “Naphtali shall enjoy abundance, and he shall be full of the blessings of the Lord. He shall possess the sea and the Meridian.”24Sobre Aser dijo: “Aser es el bendito entre los hijos, el favorecido entre sus hermanos, y baña su pie en aceite. Likewise, to Asher he said: “Let Asher be blessed with sons. Let him be pleasing to his brothers, and let him dip his foot in oil.25De hierro y de bronce son tus cerrojos, y tan largo, como tus días, tu reposo.” His shoe shall be of iron and of brass. As were the days of your youth, so also shall be your old age.26“No hay igual al Dios de Yeschurún, el que en auxilio tuyo marcha sobre los cielos, y en su majestad sobre las nubes. There is no other god like the God of the most righteous one. He who rides upon the heavens is your helper. His magnificence scatters the clouds.27El Dios eterno es refugio (tuyo), y tu sostén son los brazos eternos. El mismo expulsa delante de ti al enemigo, y dice: “¡Destruye!”. Israel habita en seguridad, la fuente de Jacob brota aparte, en una tierra de trigo y de vino y cuyos cielos destilan el rocío. His habitation is above, and the everlasting arms are below. He shall cast out the enemy before your face, and he shall say: ‘Be utterly broken!’29¡Dichoso tú, oh Israel! ¿Quién como tú, oh pueblo salvado por Yahvé, el escudo de tu auxilio, y la espada de tu triunfo? Tus enemigos rehusarán reconocerte, pero tú hollarás sus alturas.” Blessed are you, O Israel. Who is like you, the people who are saved by the Lord? He is the shield of your assistance and the sword of your glory. Your enemies will refuse to acknowledge you, and so you shall tread upon their necks.”
