Efesios 3
1Por esto (os escribo) yo Pablo, el prisionero de Cristo Jesús por amor de vosotros los gentiles; By reason of this grace, I, Paul, am a prisoner of Jesus Christ, for the sake of you Gentiles.2pues habréis oído la dispensación de la gracia de Dios, que me fue otorgada en beneficio vuestro: Now certainly, you have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God, which has been given to me among you:3cómo por revelación se me ha dado a conocer el misterio, tal como acabo de escribíroslo en pocas palabras — that, by means of revelation, the mystery was made known to me, just as I have written above in a few words.4si lo leéis podéis entender el conocimiento que tengo en este misterio de Cristo— Yet, by reading this closely, you might be able to understand my prudence in the mystery of Christ.5el cual (misterio) en otras generaciones no fue dado a conocer a los hijos de los hombres como ahora ha sido revelado por el Espíritu a sus santos apóstoles y profetas; (esto es) In other generations, this was unknown to the sons of men, even as it has now been revealed to his holy Apostles and Prophets in the Spirit,6que los gentiles sois coherederos, y miembros del mismo, cuerpo, y copartícipes de la promesa en Cristo Jesús por medio del Evangelio, so that the Gentiles would be co-heirs, and of the same body, and partners together, by his promise in Christ Jesus, through the Gospel.7del cual yo he sido constituido ministro, conforme al don de la gracia de Dios a mí otorgada según la eficacia de su poder. Of this Gospel, I have been made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God, which has been given to me by means of the operation of his virtue.8A mí, el ínfimo de todos los santos, ha sido dada esta gracia: evangelizar a los gentiles la insondable riqueza de Cristo, Although I am the least of all the saints, I have been given this grace: to evangelize among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ,9e iluminar a todos acerca de la dispensación del misterio, escondido desde los siglos en Dios creador de todas las cosas; and to enlighten everyone concerning the dispensation of the mystery, hidden before the ages in God who created all things,10a fin de que sea dada a conocer ahora a los principados y a las potestades en lo celestial, a través de la Iglesia, la multiforme sabiduría de Dios, so that the manifold wisdom of God may become well-known to the principalities and powers in the heavens, through the Church,11que se muestra en el plan de las edades que Él realizó en Cristo Jesús, Señor nuestro, according to that timeless purpose, which he has formed in Christ Jesus our Lord.12en quien, por la fe en Él, tenemos libertad y confiado acceso (al Padre). In him we trust, and so we approach with confidence, through his faith.13Por tanto ruego que no os desaniméis en mis tribulaciones por vosotros, como que son gloria vuestra. Because of this, I ask you not to be weakened by my tribulations on your behalf; for this is your glory.14Por esto doblo mis rodillas ante el Padre, By reason of this grace, I bend my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,15de quien toma su nombre toda paternidad en el cielo y en la tierra, from whom all paternity in heaven and on earth takes its name.16para que os conceda, según la riqueza de su gloria, que seáis poderosamente fortalecidos por su Espíritu en el hombre interior; And I ask him to grant to you to be strengthened in virtue by his Spirit, in accord with the wealth of his glory, in the inner man,17y Cristo por la fe habite en vuestros corazones, a fin de que, arraigados y cimentados en el amor, so that Christ may live in your hearts through a faith rooted in, and founded on, charity.18seáis hechos capaces de comprender con todos los santos qué cosa sea la anchura y largura y alteza y profundidad, So may you be able to embrace, with all the saints, what is the width and length and height and depth19y de conocer el amor de Cristo (por nosotros) que sobrepuja a todo conocimiento, para que seáis colmados de toda la plenitud de Dios. of the charity of Christ, and even be able to know that which surpasses all knowledge, so that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.20A Él, que es poderoso para hacer en todo, mediante su fuerza que obra en nosotros, incomparablemente más de lo que pedimos y pensamos, Now to him who is able to do all things, more abundantly than we could ever ask or understand, by means of the virtue which is at work in us:21a Él la gloria en la Iglesia y en Cristo Jesús, por todas las generaciones de la edad de las edades.
