Efesios 6
1Hijos, obedeced a vuestros padres en el Señor; porque esto es lo justo. Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is just.2“Honra a tu padre y a tu madre” —es el primer mandamiento con promesa—, Honor your father and your mother. This is the first commandment with a promise:3“para que te vaya bien y tengas larga vida sobre la tierra”. so that it may be well with you, and so that you may have a long life upon the earth.4Y vosotros, padres, no exasperéis a vuestros hijos, sino educadlos en la disciplina y amonestación del Señor. And you, fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but educate them with the discipline and correction of the Lord.5Siervos, obedeced a los amos según la carne en simplicidad de corazón, con respetuoso temor, como a Cristo. Servants, be obedient to your lords according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in the simplicity of your heart, as to Christ.6No (solo) sirviéndoles cuando os ven, como los que buscan agradar a hombres, sino como siervos de Cristo que cumplen de corazón la voluntad de Dios; Do not serve only when seen, as if to please men, but act as servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart.7haciendo de buena gana vuestro servicio, como al Señor, y no a hombres; Serve with good will, as to the Lord, and not to men.8pues sabéis que cada uno, si hace algo bueno, eso mismo recibirá de parte del Señor, sea esclavo o sea libre. For you know that whatever good each one will do, the same will he receive from the Lord, whether he is servant or free.9Y vosotros, amos, haced lo mismo con ellos, y dejad las amenazas, considerando que en los cielos está el Amo de ellos y de vosotros, y que para Él no hay acepción de personas. And you, lords, act similarly toward them, setting aside threats, knowing that the Lord of both you and them is in heaven. For with him there is no favoritism toward anyone.10Por lo demás, hermanos, confortaos en el Señor y en la fuerza de su poder. Concerning the rest, brothers, be strengthened in the Lord, by the power of his virtue.11Vestíos la armadura de Dios, para poder sosteneros contra los ataques engañosos del diablo. Be clothed in the armor of God, so that you may be able to stand against the treachery of the devil.12Porque para nosotros la lucha no es contra sangre y carne, sino contra los principados, contra las potestades, contra los poderes mundanos de estas tinieblas, contra los espíritus de la maldad en lo celestial. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against principalities and powers, against the directors of this world of darkness, against the spirits of wickedness in high places.13Tomad, por eso, la armadura de Dios, para que podáis resistir en el día malo y, habiendo cumplido todo, estar en pie. Because of this, take up the armor of God, so that you may be able to withstand the evil day and remain perfect in all things.14Teneos, pues, firmes, ceñidos los lomos con la verdad y vestidos con la coraza de la justicia, Therefore, stand firm, having been girded about your waist with truth, and having been clothed with the breastplate of justice,15y calzados los pies con la prontitud del Evangelio de la paz. and having feet which have been shod by the preparation of the Gospel of peace.16Embrazad en todas las ocasiones el escudo de la fe, con el cual podréis apagar todos los dardos encendidos del Maligno. In all things, take up the shield of faith, with which you may be able to extinguish all the fiery darts of the most wicked one.17Recibid asimismo el yelmo de la salud, y la espada del Espíritu, que es la Palabra de Dios; And take up the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit (which is the Word of God).18orando siempre en el Espíritu con toda suerte de oración y plegaria, y velando para ello con toda perseverancia y súplica por todos los santos, Through every kind of prayer and supplication, pray at all times in spirit, and so be vigilant with every kind of earnest supplication, for all the saints,19y por mí, a fin de que al abrir mi boca se me den palabras para manifestar con denuedo el misterio del Evangelio, and also for me, so that words may be given to me, as I open my mouth with faith to make known the mystery of the Gospel,20del cual soy mensajero entre cadenas, y sea yo capaz de anunciarlo con toda libertad, según debo hablar. in such a manner that I may dare to speak exactly as I ought to speak. For I act as an ambassador in chains for the Gospel.21Para que también vosotros sepáis el estado de mis cosas, y lo que hago, todo os lo hará saber Tíquico, el amado hermano y fiel ministro en el Señor, Now, so that you also may know the things that concern me and what I am doing, Tychicus, a most beloved brother and a faithful minister in the Lord, will make known everything to you.22a quien he enviado a vosotros para esto mismo, para que tengáis noticias de nosotros y para que él consuele vuestros corazones. I have sent him to you for this very reason, so that you may know the things that concern us, and so that he may console your hearts.23Paz a los hermanos y amor con fe, de parte de Dios Padre y del Señor Jesucristo. Peace to the brothers, and charity with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.24La gracia sea con todos los que aman con incorruptible amor a nuestro Señor Jesucristo. Amén. May grace be with all those who love our Lord Jesus Christ, unto incorruption. Amen.
