Éxodo 11
1Dijo Yahvé a Moisés: “Solo una plaga más haré venir sobre el Faraón y sobre los egipcios; después de la cual os dejará marchar de aquí; y cuando, por fin, os deje salir, lo hará expulsándoos por completo de aquí. And the Lord said to Moses: “I will touch Pharaoh and Egypt with one more plague, and after these things he will release you, and he will compel you to go out.2Di, pues, al pueblo que cada hombre pida a su vecino, y cada mujer a su vecina, objetos de plata y objetos de oro.” Therefore, you will tell all the people to ask, a man of his friend, and a woman of her neighbor, for vessels of silver and of gold.3Pues Yahvé había hecho que el pueblo hallase gracia a los ojos de los egipcios. Además, Moisés era una persona muy grande en la tierra de Egipto, tanto a los ojos de los siervos del Faraón como a los ojos del pueblo. Then the Lord will grant favor to his people in the sight of the Egyptians.” And Moses was a very great man in the land of Egypt, in the sight of the servants of Pharaoh and of all the people.4Dijo entonces Moisés: “Así dice Yahvé: A medianoche pasaré Yo a través de Egipto; And he said: “Thus says the Lord: ‘In the middle of the night I will enter into Egypt.5y morirá en el país de Egipto todo primogénito, desde el primogénito del Faraón que se sienta en su trono, hasta el primogénito de la esclava que está detrás de la muela, y todo primogénito del ganado. And every firstborn in the land of the Egyptians shall die, from the firstborn of Pharaoh, who sits on his throne, even to the firstborn of the handmaid, who is at the millstone, and all the firstborn of the beasts of burden.6Y se alzará en todo el país de Egipto un alarido grande cual nunca ha habido, y nunca lo habrá. And there will be a great outcry throughout the entire land of Egypt, such as has not been before, nor ever will be afterward.7Pero contra ninguno de los hijos de Israel, contra ningún hombre y ninguna bestia, ni siquiera ladrará un perro; para que sepáis qué distinción hace Yahvé entre los egipcios e Israel. But among all the sons of Israel there shall not be even a mutter from a dog, from man, even to cattle, so that you may know how miraculously the Lord divides the Egyptians from Israel.’8Entonces vendrán a mí todos estos tus siervos, y se postrarán delante de mí, diciendo: Sal tú y todo el pueblo que te sigue. Y después de esto saldré.” Y encendido en cólera se retiró de la presencia del Faraón. And all these, your servants, shall descend to me and shall reverence me, by saying: ‘Depart, you and all the people who are subject to you.’ After these things, we will depart.”9Y dijo Yahvé a Moisés: “No os escuchará el Faraón, para que se multipliquen mis prodigios en la tierra de Egipto.” And he went out from Pharaoh exceedingly angry. Then the Lord said to Moses: “Pharaoh will not listen to you, so that many signs may be accomplished in the land of Egypt.”10Moisés y Aarón obraron todos estos prodigios delante del Faraón; pero Yahvé endureció el corazón del Faraón, el cual no dejó salir de su país a los hijos de Israel. Now Moses and Aaron did all the wonders that are written, in the sight of Pharaoh. And the Lord hardened the heart of Pharaoh; neither did he release the sons of Israel from his land.
