Ezequiel 25

¹Me fue dirigida la palabra de Yahvé en estos términos: And the word of the Lord came to me, saying:²“Hijo de hombre, vuelve tu rostro hacia los hijos de Ammón y vaticina contra ellos. “Son of man, set your face against the sons of Ammon, and you shall prophesy about them.³Di a los hijos de Ammón: ¡Oíd la palabra de Yahvé, el Señor! Así dice Yahvé, el Señor: Por cuanto exclamaste: «¡Ha, Ha!» cuando fue profanado mi Santuario y fue desolada la tierra de Israel y la casa de Judá partió al cautiverio; And you shall say to the sons of Ammon: Listen to the word of the Lord God: Thus says the Lord God: Because you have said, ‘Well, well!’ over my sanctuary, when it was profaned, and over the land of Israel, when it was desolated, and over the house of Judah, when they were led into captivity,⁴por eso te entregaré a los hijos del Oriente, como posesión suya; y ellos establecerán en ti sus campamentos, alzarán en ti sus tiendas, comerán tus frutos y beberán tu leche. therefore, I will deliver you to the sons of the East, as an inheritance. And they will arrange their fences within you, and they will place their tents within you. They will eat your crops, and they will drink your milk.⁵De Rabbá haré un pastizal de camellos, y de (las ciudades de) los hijos de Ammón rediles para rebaños; y conoceréis que Yo soy Yahvé. And I will make Rabbah into the habitation of camels, and the sons of Ammon into the resting place of cattle. And you shall know that I am the Lord.⁶Pues así dice Yahvé, el Señor: Porque aplaudiste con tus manos y pateaste con tus pies y te alegraste en tu alma con todo el desprecio para la tierra de Israel, For thus says the Lord God: Because you have clapped your hands and stomped your foot, and have rejoiced with all your heart against the land of Israel,⁷por eso, he aquí que extenderé contra ti mi brazo, te daré por botín a las naciones, te exterminaré de entre los pueblos, te borraré del número de los países y te destruiré; y conocerás que Yo soy Yahvé. therefore, behold, I will extend my hand over you, and I will deliver you as a spoil of the Gentiles. And I will destroy you from the peoples, and I will perish you from the lands, and I will crush you. And you shall know that I am the Lord.⁸Así dice Yahvé, el Señor: Por cuanto Moab y Seír han dicho: «He aquí que la casa de Judá es como todos los pueblos», Thus says the Lord God: Because Moab and Seir have said, ‘Behold, the house of Judah is like all the Gentiles!’⁹por eso abriré el flanco de Moab, donde están sus ciudades, sus ciudades fronterizas, la gloria del país, Bet-Jesimot, Baal-Meón y Kiryataim. therefore, behold, I will open the shoulder of Moab from the cities, from his cities, I say, and from his borders, the famous cities of the land of Beth-Jesimoth, and Baal-meon, and Kiriathaim,¹⁰(Las daré) a los hijos del Oriente, por posesión suya, como lo hice con los hijos de Ammón para que de los hijos de Ammón no hubiese más memoria entre los pueblos. with the sons of Ammon, to the sons of the East, and I will give it to them as an inheritance, so that there may no longer be a remembrance of the sons of Ammon among the Gentiles.¹¹Así juzgaré también a Moab, y conocerán que Yo soy Yahvé. And I will execute judgments in Moab. And they shall know that I am the Lord.¹²Así dice Yahvé, el Señor: Por lo que hizo Edom cuando se vengó cruelmente de los hijos de Judá, y por la grave culpa que cometieron al desfogar en ellos su rencor, Thus says the Lord God: Because Idumea has taken vengeance, so as to vindicate herself against the sons of Judah, and has sinned grievously, and has sought revenge against them,¹³por esto, así dice Yahvé el Señor: Yo extenderé mi mano contra Idumea, exterminaré de ella hombres y bestias, y la convertiré en un desierto; desde Temán hasta Dedán caerán a espada. therefore, thus says the Lord God: I will extend my hand over Idumea, and I will take from it both man and beast, and I will make it desolate from the south. And those who are in Dedan will fall by the sword.¹⁴Y tomaré venganza de Edom, por medio de Israel, mi pueblo, que tratará a Edom conforme a mi ira y conforme a mi indignación; y conocerán mi venganza, dice Yahvé, el Señor. And I will issue my vengeance upon Idumea, by the hand of my people, Israel. And they shall act in Idumea in accord with my wrath and my fury. And they shall know my vengeance, says the Lord God.¹⁵Así dice Yahvé, el Señor: Porque los filisteos han tomado venganza, vengándose cruelmente, con desprecio en el alma, para exterminarlo (todo) a causa del odio perpetuo; Thus says the Lord God: Because the Philistines have taken vengeance, and have revenged themselves with all their soul, destroying, and fulfilling ancient hostilities,¹⁶por esto, así dice Yahvé, el Señor: He aquí que extenderé mi mano contra los filisteos, y exterminaré a los cereteos, y destruiré el resto (que habita) a orillas del mar. because of this, thus says the Lord God: Behold, I will extend my hand over the Philistines, and I will destroy those who destroy, and I will perish the remnant of the maritime regions.¹⁷Y tomaré de ellos una terrible venganza, castigándolos con furor; y conocerán que Yo soy Yahvé cuando Yo haga caer sobre ellos mi venganza.” And I will execute great vengeance against them, reproving them in fury. And they shall know that I am the Lord, when I will send my vengeance upon them.”
