Ezequiel 28
1Me fue dirigida la palabra de Yahvé en estos términos: And the word of the Lord came to me, saying:2“Hijo de nombre, di al príncipe de Tiro: Así dice Yahvé, el Señor: Se ha engreído tu corazón, y has dicho: «Yo soy un dios, yo ocupo el asiento de Dios en medio de los mares», siendo tú un hombre y no Dios, aunque te imaginaste ser un dios. “Son of man, say to the leader of Tyre: Thus says the Lord God: Because your heart has been exalted, and you have said, ‘I am God, and I sit in the chair of God, in the heart of the sea,’ though you are a man, and not God, and because you have presented your heart as if it were the heart of God:3¿Acaso eres tú más sabio que Daniel, y no hay secreto alguno que te quede oculto? Behold, you are wiser than Daniel; no secret is concealed from you.4Te hiciste rico con tu sabiduría y con tu inteligencia, y amontonaste oro y plata en tus tesorerías. By your wisdom and prudence, you have made yourself strong, and you have acquired gold and silver for your storehouses.5Con tu mucho saber y con tu comercio aumentaste tu poder, y se ha engreído tu corazón a causa de tu poderío. By the multitude of your wisdom, and by your business dealings, you have multiplied strength for yourself. And your heart has been exalted by your strength.6Por eso así dice Yahvé, el Señor: Por cuanto te imaginaste ser un dios, Therefore, thus says the Lord God: Because your heart has been exalted as if it were the heart of God,7por tanto, he aquí que haré venir contra ti extranjeros, los más feroces de los pueblos; que desenvainarán sus espadas contra las obras maestras de tu sabiduría, y profanarán tu gloria. for this reason, behold, I will lead over you foreigners, the most robust among the Gentiles. And they will bare their swords over the beauty of your wisdom, and they will defile your beauty.8Te harán descender a la fosa, y morirás de la muerte de aquellos que mueren en el seno del mar. They will destroy you and pull you down. And you will die the death of those slain in the heart of the sea.9¿Seguirás entonces diciendo frente a tu matador: «Yo soy un dios»? Hombre serás, y no Dios, en la mano del que te traspasa. So then, will you speak, in the presence of those who are destroying you, before the hand of those who are killing you, saying, ‘I am God,’ though you are a man, and not God?10Morirás de la muerte de los incircuncisos, por mano de extranjeros; pues Yo he hablado”, dice Yahvé, el Señor. You will die the death of the uncircumcised at the hand of foreigners. For I have spoken, says the Lord God.”11Y vino a mí la palabra de Yahvé, diciendo: And the word of the Lord came to me, saying: “Son of man, take up a lamentation over the king of Tyre,12“Hijo de hombre, entona una elegía sobre el rey de Tiro, y dile: Así habla Yahvé, el Señor: Tú eras el sello de la perfección, lleno de sabiduría y de acabada hermosura. and you shall say to him: Thus says the Lord God: You were the seal of similitudes, full of wisdom and perfect in beauty.13Vivías en el Edén, jardín de Dios; todas clases de piedras preciosas formaban tu vestido: el sardio, el topacio, el diamante, el crisólito, el ónice, el jaspe, el zafiro, el carbunclo, la esmeralda y el oro. Tus tambores y tus flautas estuvieron a tu servicio en el día en que fuiste creado. You were with the delights of the Paradise of God. Every precious stone was your covering: sardius, topaz, and jasper, chrysolite, and onyx, and beryl, sapphire, and garnet, and emerald. The work of your beauty was of gold, and your fissures were ready in the day when you were formed.14Eras un querubín ungido para proteger; así Yo te había constituido; estabas en el monte santo de Dios y caminabas en medio de piedras de fuego. You were a cherub, stretched out and protecting, and I stationed you on the holy mountain of God. You have walked in the midst of stones containing fire.15Perfecto fuiste en tus caminos desde el día de tu creación, hasta que fue hallada en ti la iniquidad. You were perfect in your ways, from the day of your formation, until iniquity was found in you.16Con el gran aumento de tu comercio se llenó tu corazón de violencias y pecaste; por tanto te profané (echándote) del monte de Dios; y te destruí, oh querubín protector, de en medio de las piedras de fuego. By the multitude of your business dealings, your interior was filled with iniquity, and you sinned. And I cast you away from the mountain of God, and I perished you, O protecting cherub, from the midst of the stones containing fire.17Se engrió tu corazón a causa de tu hermosura; corrompiste tu sabiduría con tu esplendor; por eso, te arrojé al suelo y te di en espectáculo a los reyes. And your heart was exalted by your beauty; you have destroyed your own wisdom by your beauty. I have cast you to the ground. I have presented you before the face of kings, so that they may examine you.18Por la multitud de tus maldades, y por las injusticias de tu comercio profanaste tu santidad; por eso hice salir fuego de en medio de ti, un fuego que te consumió, y te convertí en ceniza sobre la tierra, ante los ojos de todos los que te ven. You have defiled your sanctuaries, by the multitude of your iniquities and by the iniquity of your business dealings. Therefore, I will produce a fire from your midst, which will consume you, and I will make you into ashes upon the earth, in the sight of all who are watching you.19Todos los que te conocían entre los pueblos, están asombrados de ti; has venido a ser un objeto de pasmo y ya no existirás nunca jamás.” All who gaze upon you among the Gentiles will be stupefied over you. You were made out of nothing, and you shall not be, forever.”20Y me llegó la palabra de Yahvé, diciendo: And the word of the Lord came to me, saying:21“Hijo de hombre, vuelve tu rostro hacia Sidón, y profetiza contra ella. “Son of man, set your face against Sidon, and you shall prophesy about it.22Dirás: Así dice Yahvé, el Señor: Heme aquí contra ti, Sidón; Yo quiero glorificarme en medio de ti; y conocerán que Yo soy Yahvé, cuando la juzgue y manifieste en ella mi santidad. And you shall say: Thus says the Lord God: Behold, I am against you, Sidon, and I will be glorified in your midst. And they shall know that I am the Lord, when I will have executed judgments in her, and when I will have been sanctified in her.23Enviaré contra ella la peste, y habrá sangre en sus calles, y caerán en medio de ella traspasados por la espada, que la herirá por todos lados; y conocerán que Yo soy Yahvé. And I will send a pestilence upon her, and there will be blood in her streets. And they will fall, slain by the sword, on every side in her midst. And they shall know that I am the Lord.24Y ya no habrá para la casa de Israel zarza punzante ni espina que le cause dolor, en medio de todos sus circunvecinos que la desprecian; y conocerán que Yo soy Yahvé. And the house of Israel will no longer be a stumbling block of bitterness, nor a thorn bringing pain everywhere around them, to those who turn against them. And they shall know that I am the Lord God.”25Así dice Yahvé, el Señor: Cuando Yo congregare la casa de Israel de entre los pueblos entre los cuales han sido dispersados, entonces manifestaré mi santidad de ellos a la vista de los gentiles, y habitarán en su tierra que di a mi siervo Jacob. Thus says the Lord God: “When I will have gathered together the house of Israel, from the peoples among whom they have been dispersed, I shall be sanctified in them in the sight of the Gentiles. And they shall live in their own land, which I gave to my servant Jacob.26Habitarán allí en paz, edificarán casas y plantarán viñas; habitarán en seguridad cuando Yo haga justicia en todos aquellos que los desprecian por todos lados; y conocerán que Yo, Yahvé, soy su Dios.” And they shall live within it securely. And they shall build houses and plant vineyards. And they shall live in confidence, when I will have executed judgments upon all those who turn against them on every side. And they shall know that I am the Lord their God.”
