Ezequiel 29
1El año décimo, el día doce del décimo mes, recibí la palabra de Yahvé, que dijo: In the tenth year, in the tenth month, on the eleventh day of the month, the word of the Lord came to me, saying:2“Hijo de hombre, vuelve tu rostro contra el Faraón, rey de Egipto, y vaticina contra él, y contra todo Egipto. “Son of man, set your face against Pharaoh, the king of Egypt, and you shall prophesy about him and about all of Egypt.3Habla y di: Así dice Yahvé, el Señor: Heme aquí contra ti, Faraón, rey de Egipto, cocodrilo gigantesco que yaces en medio de sus ríos y dices: «Mi río, es mío, pues yo lo hice.» Speak, and you shall say: Thus says the Lord God: Behold, I am against you, Pharaoh, king of Egypt, you great dragon, who rests in the midst of your rivers. And you say: ‘Mine is the river, and I have made myself.’4Por eso pondré garfios en tus quijadas, y haré que se peguen los peces de tus ríos a tus escamas, y te sacaré de en medio de tus ríos, con todos los peces de tus ríos, pegados a tus escamas; But I will place a bridle in your jaws. And I will adhere the fish of your rivers to your scales. And I will draw you out of the midst of your rivers, and all your fish will adhere to your scales.5y te echaré al desierto, con todos los peces de tus ríos; sobre la superficie del campo caerás, y no serás recogido ni levantado; a las fieras de la tierra y a las aves del cielo te daré como pasto. And I will cast you into the desert, with all the fish of your river. You will fall upon the surface of the earth; you will not be taken up, nor gathered together. I have given you to the beasts of the earth and to the birds of the air, to be devoured.6Y conocerán todos los habitantes de Egipto que Yo soy Yahvé; porque has sido un báculo de caña para los hijos de Israel. And all the inhabitants of Egypt shall know that I am the Lord. For you have been a staff made of reed to the house of Israel.7Cuando te tomaban con la mano, te rompías lastimándoles todo el hombro; y cuando en ti se apoyaban, te hacías pedazos, paralizándoles todo el cuerpo. When they took hold of you with the hand, you broke, and so you wounded all of their shoulders. And when they leaned on you, you shattered, and so you injured all of their lower backs.8Por tanto, así dice, Yahvé, el Señor: He aquí que haré venir sobre ti la espada, y exterminaré en ti hombres y bestias. Because of this, thus says the Lord God: Behold, I will lead the sword over you, and I will destroy both man and beast from among you.9Y la tierra de Egipto quedará hecha un desierto y una soledad; y conocerán que Yo soy Yahvé; porque (el Faraón) ha dicho: «El río es mío, y yo lo he hecho». And the land of Egypt will be a desert and a wilderness. And they shall know that I am the Lord. For you have said, ‘The river is mine, and I have made it.’10Por eso, he aquí que estoy contra ti y contra tus ríos, y convertiré la tierra de Egipto en desierto desolado, desde Migdol hasta Siene, y hasta los confines de Etiopía. Therefore, behold, I am against you and against your rivers. And I will make the land of Egypt into a wilderness, destroyed by the sword from the tower of Syene all the way to the borders of Ethiopia.11No pasará por ella pie de hombre; ni transitará por allí pie de bestia; ni será habitada por cuarenta años. The foot of man will not pass through it, and the foot of cattle will not walk in it. And it will be uninhabited for forty years.12Y haré del país de Egipto un yermo en medio de (otros) países yermos, y sus ciudades quedarán desoladas por cuarenta años en medio de las ciudades devastadas; y dispersaré a los egipcios entre las naciones y los esparciré por los países. And I will set the land of Egypt in desolation, in the midst of desolate lands, and its cities in the midst of overturned cites. And they will be desolate for forty years. And I will scatter the Egyptians among the nations, and I will disperse them among the lands.13Pues así dice Yahvé, el Señor: Al cabo de los cuarenta años congregaré a los egipcios de entre los pueblos donde han estado dispersos. For thus says the Lord God: After the end of forty years, I will gather the Egyptians from the peoples among whom they had been scattered.14Y pondré término al cautiverio de Egipto, y los conduciré a la tierra de Patros, tierra de su origen, y allí formarán un modesto reino. And I will lead back the captivity of Egypt, and I will collect them in the land of Pathros, in the land of their nativity. And in that place, they will be a lowly kingdom.15Será más humilde que los (demás) reinos; y no se alzará más sobre las naciones; Yo los disminuiré, para que no dominen más sobre los pueblos. It will be the lowest among the other kingdoms, and it will no longer be exalted above the nations. And I will diminish them, lest they rule over the Gentiles.16No serán ya para la casa de Israel un objeto de confianza sino un recuerdo de la iniquidad (que cometieron) al volverse hacia ellos; y conocerán que Yo soy Yahvé, el Señor.” And they will no longer be the confidence of the house of Israel, teaching iniquity, so that they may flee and follow them. And they shall know that I am the Lord God.”17El año veinte y siete, el primer día del primer mes, recibí la palabra de Yahvé, el cual me dijo: And it happened that, in the twenty-seventh year, in the first month, on the first of the month, the word of the Lord came to me, saying:18“Hijo de hombre: Nabucodonosor, rey de Babilonia, ha fatigado mucho a su ejército contra Tiro; todas las cabezas quedaron calvas y todos los hombros pelados; sin embargo, ni él ni su ejército recibieron de Tiro recompensa alguna por el servicio que prestaron contra ella. “Son of man, Nebuchadnezzar, the king of Babylon, has caused his army to serve with great servility against Tyre. Every head was shaven, and every shoulder was stripped of hair. And wages have not been paid to him, nor to his army, for Tyre, for the service by which he served for me against it.19Por eso, así dice Yahvé, el Señor: He aquí que voy a dar a Nabucodonosor, rey de Babilonia, el país de Egipto y él se llevará sus riquezas; tomará sus despojos y saqueará su botín y esta será la paga para su ejército. Because of this, thus says the Lord God: Behold, I will station Nebuchadnezzar, the king of Babylon, in the land of Egypt. And he will take its multitude, and he will prey upon its profits, and he will plunder its spoils. And this shall be the wages for his army20Por su servicio prestado contra (Tiro) le he dado la tierra de Egipto; pues han trabajado para Mí, dice Yahvé, el Señor. and for the work by which he has served against it. I have given to him the land of Egypt, because he has labored for me, says the Lord God.21En aquel día haré crecer un cuerno a la casa de Israel, y a ti te abriré la boca en medio de ellos; y conocerán que Yo soy Yahvé.” In that day, a horn will spring forth for the house of Israel, and I will give to you an open mouth in their midst. And they shall know that I am the Lord.”
