Ezequiel 34
“Son of man, prophesy about the shepherds of Israel. Prophesy, and you shall say to the shepherds: Thus says the Lord God: Woe to the shepherds of Israel who feed themselves! Should not the flocks be fed by the shepherds?3Vosotros coméis su leche y os vestís de su lana; matáis lo gordo, pero no apacentáis el rebaño. You consumed the milk, and you covered yourselves with the wool, and you killed what was fattened. But my flock you did not feed.4No fortalecisteis a las ovejas débiles, no curasteis a las enfermas, no vendasteis a las perniquebradas, no condujisteis al redil a las descarriadas, no fuisteis en busca de las perdidas, sino que las dominabais con violencia y crueldad; What was weak, you have not strengthened, and what was sick, you have not healed. What was broken, you have not bound, and what was cast aside, you have not led back again, and what was lost, you have not sought. Instead, you ruled over them with severity and with power.5de modo que se dispersaron por falta de pastor; vinieron a ser presa de todas las fieras del campo y se perdieron. And my sheep were scattered, because there was no shepherd. And they became devoured by all the wild beasts of the field, and they were dispersed.6Mis ovejas andan errantes por todas las montañas y por todas las altas colinas. Por toda la faz de la tierra se dispersaron mis ovejas, y no hay quien las busque ni quien se preocupe de ellas. My sheep have wandered to every mountain and to every exalted hill. And my flocks have been scattered across the face of the earth. And there was no one who sought them; there was no one, I say, who sought them.7Por eso, oíd, oh pastores, la palabra de Yahvé: Because of this, O shepherds, listen to the word of the Lord:8Por mi vida, dice Yahvé, el Señor, que por cuanto mi grey ha sido depredada, y mis ovejas han sido presa de todas las fieras del campo, por falta de pastor; pues mis pastores no cuidaban de mis ovejas, sino que los pastores se apacentaban a sí mismos y no apacentaban a mi grey, As I live, says the Lord God, since my flocks have become a prey, and my sheep have been devoured by all the wild beasts of the field, since there was no shepherd, for my shepherds did not seek my flock, but instead the shepherds fed themselves, and they did not feed my flocks:9por lo tanto, oíd, oh pastores, la palabra de Yahvé. because of this, O shepherds, listen to the word of the Lord:10Así dice Yahvé, el Señor: Heme aquí contra los pastores; demandaré mis ovejas de su mano y no permitiré que apacienten mi grey; ni tampoco se apacentarán en adelante los pastores a sí mismos; puesto que Yo libraré mis ovejas de su boca, y no les servirán ya de pasto. Thus says the Lord God: Behold, I myself will be over the shepherds. I will require my flock at their hand, and I will cause them to cease, so that they no longer refrain from feeding the flock. Neither will the shepherds feed themselves any more. And I will deliver my flock from their mouth; and it will no longer be food for them.11Porque así dice Yahvé, el Señor: He aquí que Yo mismo iré en pos de mis ovejas, y las revistaré. For thus says the Lord God: Behold, I myself will seek my sheep, and I myself will visit them.12Como el pastor revista a su grey al encontrarse con sus ovejas descarriadas, así revistaré Yo mis ovejas y las recogeré de todos los lugares por donde se dispersaron en día de nublado y tinieblas. Just as a shepherd visits his flock, in the day when he will be in the midst of his sheep that were scattered, so will I visit my sheep. And I will deliver them from all the places to which they had been scattered in the day of gloom and darkness.13Las sacaré de entre los pueblos, las recogeré de los países, las llevaré a su tierra y las apacentaré sobre los montes de Israel, junto a los arroyos, y en todas las regiones habitadas del país. And I will lead them away from the peoples, and I will gather them from the lands, and I will bring them into their own land. And I will pasture them on the mountains of Israel, by the rivers, and in all the settlements of the land.14En pastos buenos las apacentaré, y sobre las elevadas montañas de Israel estará su redil; allí tendrán cómoda majada, y en medio de pingües pastos pacerán sobre los montes de Israel. I will feed them in very fertile pastures, and their pastures will be on the lofty mountains of Israel. There they will rest on the green grass, and they will be fed in the fat pastures, on the mountains of Israel.15Yo mismo pastorearé mis ovejas, y Yo mismo las llevaré a la majada —oráculo de Yahvé, el Señor. I will feed my sheep, and I will cause them to lie down, says the Lord God.16Buscaré las perdidas, traeré las descarriadas, vendaré las perniquebradas y fortaleceré las enfermas; mas a las gordas y fuertes las destruiré. Las apacentaré con justicia. I will seek what had been lost. And I will lead back again what had been cast aside. And I will bind up what had been broken. And I will strengthen what had been infirm. And I will preserve what was fat and strong. And I will feed them on judgment.17A vosotras, ovejas mías, así dice Yahvé, el Señor: He aquí que Yo juzgaré entre ovejas y ovejas, entre carneros y machos cabríos. But as for you, O my flocks, thus says the Lord God: Behold, I judge between cattle and cattle, among rams and among he-goats.18¿Por ventura no os bastaba comer los pastos buenos, ya que pisoteabais con vuestros pies lo que sobraba de vuestro pasto? ¿Ni os bastaba beber el agua limpia, ya que enturbiabais con vuestros pies la que quedaba? Was it not enough for you to feed upon good pastures? For you even trample with your feet upon the remainder of your pastures. And when you drank the purist water, you disturbed the remainder with your feet.19De modo que mis ovejas tenían que comer lo que vosotros habíais hollado con vuestros pies, y beber lo que con vuestros pies habíais enturbiado. And my sheep were pastured from what you had trampled with your feet, and they drank from what your feet had disturbed.20Por tanto, así les dice Yahvé, el Señor: He aquí que Yo mismo juzgaré entre las ovejas gordas y las ovejas flacas. Because of this, thus says the Lord God to you: Behold, I myself am judging between the fat cattle and the lean.21Porque atropellabais con el flanco a todas las débiles y las acorneabais con vuestros cuernos hasta echarlas a otros lugares. For you have pushed with your sides and shoulders, and you have threatened all the weak cattle with your horns, until they were scattered abroad.22Por eso Yo salvaré mi grey, para que no sirva más de presa; así juzgaré entre oveja y oveja. I will save my flock, and it will no longer be a prey, and I will judge between cattle and cattle.23Y suscitaré sobre ellas un solo pastor que las pastoree, mi siervo David; él las apacentará y él será su pastor. And I will raise up over them ONE SHEPHERD, who will feed them, my servant David. He himself will feed them, and he will be their shepherd.24Yo, Yahvé, seré su Dios, y mi siervo David será príncipe en medio de ellas. Yo, Yahvé, he hablado. And I, the Lord, will be their God. And my servant David will be the leader in their midst. I, the Lord, have spoken.25Haré con ellas una alianza de paz, y exterminaré de la tierra las bestias feroces, y habitarán con seguridad en regiones desiertas y dormirán en los bosques. And I will make a covenant of peace with them. And I will cause the very harmful beasts to cease from the land. And those who are living in the desert will sleep securely in the forests.26Y haré de ellos y de los alrededores de mi monte una bendición, y enviaré a su tiempo las lluvias, lluvias de bendición. And I will make them a blessing all around my hill. And I will send the rain in due time; there will be showers of blessing.27Los árboles del campo darán su fruto y la tierra dará sus productos, y vivirán en paz en su tierra; y conocerán que Yo soy Yahvé, cuando rompa las coyundas de su yugo, y los salve del poder de los que los tratan como esclavos. And the tree of the field will yield its fruit, and the land will yield its crop. And they will be in their own land without fear. And they shall know that I am the Lord, when I will have crushed the chains of their yoke, and when I will have rescued them from the hand of those who rule over them.28Y no serán más presa de las naciones, ni los devorarán las bestias de la tierra, sino que habitarán con seguridad, y no habrá quien los espante. And they will no longer be a prey to the Gentiles, nor will the wild beasts of the earth devour them. Instead, they will live in confidence without any terror.29Y les haré brotar una vegetación magnífica; ya no serán más consumidos por el hambre en el país, ni expuestos al oprobio de las naciones. And I will raise up for them a renowned branch. And they will be no longer be diminished by famine in the land, nor will they carry any longer the reproach of the Gentiles.30Y conocerán que Yo, Yahvé, su Dios, estoy con ellos, y que ellos, la casa de Israel, son mi pueblo —oráculo de Yahvé, el Señor. And they shall know that I, the Lord their God, am with them, and that they are my people, the house of Israel, says the Lord God.31Vosotros, los hombres, sois mis ovejas, las ovejas de mi grey, y Yo soy vuestro Dios, dice Yahvé, el Señor.” For you are my flocks; the flocks of my pasture are men. And I am the Lord your God, says the Lord God.”
