Ezequiel 35
1Me fue dirigida la palabra de Yahvé en estos términos: And the word of the Lord came to me, saying:2“Hijo de hombre, vuelve tu rostro contra la montaña de Seír y profetiza contra ella. “Son of man, set your face against mount Seir, and you shall prophesy about it, and you shall say to it:3Dile: Así dice Yahvé, el Señor: He aquí que estoy contra ti, montaña de Seír; extenderé mi mano contra ti, y haré de ti una soledad y un desierto. Thus says the Lord God: Behold, I am against you, mount Seir, and I will extend my hand over you, and I will make you desolate and deserted.4Reduciré tus ciudades a ruinas; serás un país despoblado, y conocerás que Yo soy Yahvé. I will tear down your cities, and you will be deserted. And you shall know that I am the Lord.5Porque tienes un odio perpetuo, y entregaste los hijos de Israel a la espada, en el tiempo de su calamidad, al llegar la iniquidad al colmo. For you have been a continual adversary, and you have enclosed the sons of Israel, by the hands of the sword, in the time of their affliction, in the time of extreme iniquity.6Por eso, por mi vida, dice Yahvé, el Señor, que te transformaré en sangre, y la sangre te perseguirá. Por cuanto no aborreciste la sangre, la sangre te perseguirá. Because of this, as I live, says the Lord God, I will hand you over to blood, and blood will pursue you. Even though you have hated blood, blood will pursue you.7Convertiré los montes de Seír en desierto completo y exterminaré de él al que va y al que viene. And I will make mount Seir desolate and deserted. And I will take away from it the one who departs and the one who returns.8Llenaré sus montes de sus muertos; en tus collados, en tus valles, en todos tus torrentes yacerán los traspasados por la espada. And I will fill up its mountains with its slain. In your hills, and in your valleys, as well as in your torrents, the slain will fall by the sword.9En desolación perpetua te trocaré, y tus ciudades no serán ya habitadas; entonces conoceréis que Yo soy Yahvé. I will hand you over to everlasting desolations, and your cities will not be inhabited. And you shall know that I am the Lord God.10Pues dijiste: Ambos pueblos y ambos países son míos, y nosotros los poseeremos, siendo así que Yahvé estaba allí. For you have said, ‘Two nations and two lands will be mine, and I will possess them as an inheritance,’ though the Lord was in that place.11Por eso, por mi vida, dice Yahvé, el Señor, que te trataré según la medida de tu ira y de tu envidia, con que tú, en tu odio, los trataste, y Yo, al juzgarte a ti, seré conocido por ellos. Because of this, as I live, says the Lord God, I will act in accord with your own wrath, and in accord with your own zeal, by which you have acted with hatred toward them. And I will be made known by them, when I will have judged you.12Entonces conocerás que Yo, Yahvé, he escuchado todas las injurias que proferiste contra los montes de Israel, diciendo: «Devastados están, nos han sido dados como presa». And you shall know that I, the Lord, have heard all your disgraces, which you have spoken about the mountains of Israel, saying: ‘They are deserted. They have been given to us to devour.’13Os ensoberbecisteis contra Mí con vuestra boca y multiplicasteis contra Mí vuestras palabras. Yo las he oído. And you rose up against me with your mouth, and you disparaged against me with your words. I have heard.14Esto dice Yahvé, el Señor: Alegrándose toda la tierra haré de ti un yermo. Thus says the Lord God: When the whole earth will rejoice, I will reduce you to solitude.15Como tú te alegraste de la desolación de la casa de Israel, así haré Yo contigo. Yermo serás, serranía de Seír, e Idumea toda entera; y se conocerá que Yo soy Yahvé. Just as you have rejoiced over the inheritance of the house of Israel, when it was laid waste, so will I act toward you. You will be laid waste, O mount Seir, with all of Idumea. And they shall know that I am the Lord.”
