Ezequiel 36
1Tú, hijo de hombre, profetiza a los montes de Israel, diciendo: Oíd, montes de Israel, la palabra de Yahvé. “But as for you, son of man, prophesy over the mountains of Israel, and you shall say: O mountains of Israel, listen to the word of the Lord.2Así dice Yahvé, el Señor: Porque el enemigo ha dicho de vosotros: «¡Ea! los collados eternos están en nuestro poder», Thus says the Lord God: Because the enemy has said about you: ‘It is well! The everlasting heights have been given to us as an inheritance!’3por eso vaticina y di: Así dice Yahvé, el Señor: Precisamente por eso, porque os asolaron y os hollaron por todos lados, para que fueseis herencia de las demás naciones, y porque llegasteis a ser objeto de chismes y el oprobio de los pueblos, because of this, prophesy and say: Thus says the Lord God: Because you have been made desolate, and you have been trampled on every side, and you have been made into an inheritance for the remainder of the nations, and because you rose up, over the tip of the tongue and over the shame of the people,4por eso, escuchad, montes de Israel, la palabra de Yahvé, el Señor: Así dice Yahvé a los montes y a los collados, a las hondonadas y a los valles, a las ruinas, y a las ciudades abandonadas, que a las demás naciones circunvecinas sirvieron de presa y de ludibrio. because of this, O mountains of Israel, listen to the word of the Lord God. Thus says the Lord God to the mountains, and to the hills, to the torrents, and to the valleys, and to the deserts, and to the ruins, and to the forsaken cities, which have been depopulated and ridiculed by the remainder of the nations all around:5Por tanto, así dice Yahvé, el Señor: En el fuego de mis celos he hablado contra las otras naciones y contra la Idumea entera, quienes se apoderaron de mi tierra, regocijándose de todo corazón y despreciándola en su alma, a fin de tomarla y saquearla. Because of this, thus says the Lord God: In the fire of my zeal, I have spoken about the remainder of the nations, and about all of Idumea, who have given my land to themselves, joyfully, as an inheritance, and with all the heart and mind, and who have cast it out, so that they may lay waste to it.6Por eso, profetiza respecto de la tierra de Israel; y di a los montes y a los collados, a los torrentes y a los valles: Así dice Yahvé, el Señor: He aquí que en mis celos y en mi indignación he hablado, porque vosotros habéis soportado la afrenta de las naciones. Therefore, prophesy over the soil of Israel, and you shall say to the mountains, and to the hills, to the ridges, and to the valleys: Thus says the Lord God: Behold, I have spoken in my zeal and in my fury, because you have endured the shame of the Gentiles.7Por tanto, así dice Yahvé, el Señor: He alzado mi mano para que las naciones que os rodean, soporten también ellas su oprobio. Therefore, thus says the Lord God: I have lifted up my hand, so that the Gentiles, who are all around you, will themselves bear their shame.8Mas vosotros, oh montes de Israel, brotad vuestras ramas y producid vuestro fruto para Israel, mi pueblo, porque cercana está su vuelta. But as for you, O mountains of Israel, spring forth your branches, and bear your fruit, to my people Israel. For they are close to their advent.9Porque he aquí que a vosotros (vengo); hacia vosotros vuelvo mi rostro y seréis labrados y sembrados. For behold, I am for you, and I will turn to you, and you will be plowed, and you will receive seed.10Multiplicaré en vosotros la gente, la casa de Israel, toda entera. Serán repobladas las ciudades y reedificados los lugares destruidos. And I will multiply men among you and among all the house of Israel. And the cities shall be inhabited, and the ruinous places shall be restored.11Os henchiré de hombres y de bestias, que crecerán y serán fecundos; os poblaré como antiguamente y os daré más bienes que al principio; y conoceréis que Yo soy Yahvé. And I will fill you again with men and with cattle. And they will be multiplied, and they will increase. And I will cause you to live as from the beginning, and I will give you even greater gifts than those you had from the start. And you shall know that I am the Lord.12Y haré que ande gente sobre vosotros: Israel, mi pueblo. Ellos te poseerán, y tú serás su herencia; y no volveréis a estar sin ellos. And I will lead men over you, over my people Israel, and they will possess you as an inheritance. And you shall be to them as an inheritance. And you shall no longer be permitted to be without them.13Así dice Yahvé, el Señor: Por cuanto dicen de vosotros: «Eres una tierra que se traga a los hombres y priva a tu pueblo de sus hijos», Thus says the Lord God: Because they are saying about you, ‘You are a woman who devours men, and you are strangling your own nation,’14por eso en adelante no comerás más a los hombres ni privarás a tu pueblo de sus hijos, dice Yahvé, el Señor. because of this, you shall no longer consume men, and you shall no longer harm your own nation, says the Lord God.15Yo haré que no oigas más los insultos de las gentes ni tengas que sufrir los oprobios de los pueblos; pues no perderás más tu población”, dice Yahvé, el Señor. Neither will I permit men to discover in you the shame of the Gentiles any more. And you shall never again bear the reproach of the peoples. And you shall not send your people away any more, says the Lord God.”16Y me llegó la palabra de Yahvé, diciendo: And the word of the Lord came to me, saying:17“Hijo de hombre, mientras los de la casa de Israel habitaban en su tierra, la contaminaron con su proceder y sus malas obras. Era su conducta delante de Mí como la inmundicia de una mujer en su impureza. “Son of man, the house of Israel lived on their own soil, and they defiled it with their ways and with their intentions. Their way, in my sight, became like the uncleanness of a menstruous woman.18Por lo cual derramaré mi ira sobre ellos, a causa de la sangre que derramaron sobre el país y porque lo contaminaron con sus ídolos. And so I poured out my indignation upon them, because of the blood which they shed upon the land, and because they defiled it with their idols.19Por eso los he dispersado entre las naciones y fueron diseminados por los países; así los juzgué según sus caminos y conforme a sus obras. And I dispersed them among the Gentiles, and they have been scattered among the lands. I have judged them according to their ways and their plans.20Mas llegados a las naciones adonde fueron, profanaron mi santo Nombre, pues se decía de ellos: «Estos son el pueblo de Yahvé, pero de la tierra de Él han salido». And when they walked among the Gentiles, to whom they had entered, they defiled my holy name, though it was being said about them: ‘This is the people of the Lord,’ and ‘They went forth from his land.’21Sin embargo los perdoné por amor a mi santo Nombre, al que la casa de Israel había deshonrado entre las naciones adonde llegaron. But I have spared my holy name, which the house of Israel has defiled among the Gentiles, to whom they entered.22Por eso, di a la casa de Israel: Así dice Yahvé, el Señor: No por vosotros hago (esto), oh casa de Israel, sino por mi santo Nombre, al que vosotros habéis profanado entre las naciones a donde llegasteis. For this reason, you shall say to the house of Israel: Thus says the Lord God: I will act, not for your sake, O house of Israel, but for the sake of my holy name, which you have defiled among the Gentiles, to whom you entered.23Y santificaré mi gran Nombre que ha sido deshonrado entre los gentiles, el cual vosotros profanasteis en medio de ellos; y conocerán los gentiles que Yo soy Yahvé, el Señor cuando haga patente mi santidad en vosotros, viéndolo ellos. And I will sanctify my great name, which was defiled among the Gentiles, which you have defiled in their midst. So may the Gentiles know that I am the Lord, says the Lord of hosts, when I will have been sanctified in you, before their eyes.24Pues Yo os sacaré de entre los gentiles, os recogeré de todos los países y os llevaré a vuestra propia tierra. Certainly, I will take you away from the Gentiles, and I will gather you together from all the lands, and I will lead you into your own land.25Y derramaré sobre vosotros agua limpia para que quedéis limpios, y os purificaré de todas vuestras inmundicias y de todos vuestros ídolos. And I will pour clean water over you, and you shall be cleansed from all your filth, and I will cleanse you from all your idols.26Os daré un corazón nuevo, y pondré en vosotros un espíritu nuevo; quitaré de vuestra carne el corazón de piedra y os daré un corazón de carne. And I will give to you a new heart, and I will place in you a new spirit. And I will take away the heart of stone from your body, and I will give to you a heart of flesh.27Infundiré mi Espíritu en vuestro corazón y haré que sigáis mis mandamientos y observéis mis leyes, poniéndolas por obra. And I will place my Spirit in your midst. And I will act so that you may walk in my precepts and keep my judgments, and so that you may fulfill them.28Y habitaréis en la tierra que Yo di a vuestros padres; y vosotros seréis el pueblo mío, y Yo seré vuestro Dios. And you shall live in the land that I gave to your fathers. And you shall be my people, and I will be your God.29Os libraré de todas vuestras inmundicias; haré venir el trigo y lo multiplicaré; y no os enviaré más el hambre. And I will save you from all your filth. And I will call for grain, and I will multiply it, and I will not impose a famine upon you.30Multiplicaré el fruto del árbol y la cosecha del campo, a fin de que no sufráis más el oprobio del hambre entre las naciones. And I will multiply the fruit of the tree and the produce of the field, so that you may no longer bear the disgrace of famine among the nations.31Entonces os acordaréis de vuestros malos caminos y de vuestras obras que no eran buenas, y tendréis asco de vosotros mismos a causa de vuestras iniquidades y abominaciones. And you shall remember your very wicked ways and your intentions, which were not good. And you will be displeased by your own iniquities and your own crimes.32No por vosotros haré Yo (esto), dice Yahvé, el Señor, tenedlo así entendido. ¡Confundíos y avergonzaos de vuestros caminos, oh casa de Israel! It is not for your sakes that I will act, says the Lord God; let this be known to you. Be confounded and ashamed over your own ways, O house of Israel.33Así dice Yahvé, el Señor: El día en que Yo os purificaré de todas vuestras iniquidades, repoblaré las ciudades y serán reedificados los lugares destruidos. Thus says the Lord God: In the day when I will have cleansed you from all your iniquities, and when I will have caused the cities to be inhabited, and when I will have restored the ruinous places,34La tierra devastada será cultivada en vez de ser un desierto a los ojos de todo transeúnte. and when the deserted land will have been cultivated, which previously was desolate to the eyes of all who passed by,35Y se dirá: «La tierra que estaba desolada ha venido a ser como el jardín de Edén; y las ciudades desiertas, arruinadas y destruidas, se hallan ya fortificadas y habitadas». then they shall say: ‘This uncultivated land has become a garden of delight, and the cities, which were deserted and destitute and overturned, have been settled and fortified.’36Y los gentiles que quedaren en torno vuestro conocerán que Yo, Yahvé, he reedificado lo que estaba destruido, y que Yo he plantado lo que estaba devastado. Yo, Yahvé, he hablado, y Yo obraré. And the Gentiles, those who remain around you, shall know that I, the Lord, have built up what was destroyed, and have planted what was uncultivated. I, the Lord, have spoken and acted.37Así dice Yahvé, el Señor: Aun esto conseguirá la casa de Israel, para que lo haga en favor de ellos: los aumentaré con hombres a manera de rebaño. Thus says the Lord God: Even in this time, the house of Israel shall find me, so that I may act for them. I will multiply them like a flock of men,38Como rebaño de ovejas consagradas, como los rebaños de Jerusalén en sus fiestas, así serán las ciudades desiertas: llenas de rebaños de hombres; y se conocerá que Yo soy Yahvé. like a holy flock, like the flock of Jerusalem in her solemnities. So shall the deserted cities be filled with flocks of men. And they shall know that I am the Lord.”
