Génesis 49
1Llamó Jacob a sus hijos, y dijo “Reuníos, y os haré conocer las cosas que os han de suceder en los días postreros: Then Jacob called his sons, and he said to them: “Gather together, so that I may announce what will happen to you in the last days.2Reuníos y oíd, hijos de Jacob, escuchad a Israel, vuestro padre. Gather together and listen, O sons of Jacob. Listen to Israel, your father.3Rubén, tú mi primogénito; mi vigor y el primer fruto de mi fuerza; el primero en dignidad, el primero en poder; Reuben, my firstborn, you are my strength and the beginning of my sorrow: first in gifts, greater in authority.4tú que hierves como el agua, no tendrás más la primacía; porque subiste al lecho de tu padre. Lo manchaste, porque subiste a mi lecho. You are being poured out like water, may you not increase. For you climbed onto your father’s bed, and you defiled his resting place.5Simeón y Leví, hermanos; instrumentos inicuos son sus espadas. The brothers Simeon and Levi: vessels of iniquity waging war.6¡En su consejo no entres, oh alma mía; honra mía, no te reúnas con su asamblea! porque en su saña mataron hombres, y por su capricho desjarretaron toros.
