1Este es el libro de los descendientes de Adán. El día en que Dios creó a Adán, lo hizo a imagen de Dios. This is the book of the lineage of Adam. In the day that God created man, he made him to the likeness of God.2Los creó varón y mujer y los bendijo: y los llamó “hombre” en el día de su creación. He created them, male and female; and he blessed them. And he called their name Adam, in the day when they were created.3Tenía Adán ciento treinta años cuando engendró un hijo a su semejanza, según su imagen, al cual puso por nombre Set. Then Adam lived for one hundred and thirty years. And then he conceived a son in his own image and likeness, and he called his name Seth.4Fueron los días de Adán, después de engendrar a Set, ochocientos años, y engendró hijos e hijas. And after he conceived Seth, the days of Adam that passed were eight hundred years. And he conceived sons and daughters.5Y fueron todos los días que vivió Adán novecientos treinta años, y murió. And all the time that passed while Adam lived was nine hundred and thirty years, and then he died.6Set tenía ciento cinco años cuando engendró a Enós. Likewise, Methuselah lived for one hundred and eighty-seven years, and then he conceived Lamech.26Vivió Matusalén, después de engendrar a Lamec, setecientos ochenta y dos años, y engendró hijos e hijas. And after he conceived Lamech, Methuselah lived for seven hundred and eighty-two years, and he conceived sons and daughters.27Y fueron todos los días de Matusalén novecientos sesenta y nueve años, y murió. And all the days of Methuselah that passed were nine hundred and sixty-nine years, and then he died.28Lamec tenía ciento ochenta y dos años, cuando engendró un hijo, Then Lamech lived for one hundred and eighty-two years, and he conceived a son.29al cual puso por nombre Noé, diciendo: Este nos consolará de nuestras fatigas y del trabajo de nuestras manos, causado por la tierra que maldijo Yahvé. And after he conceived Noah, Lamech lived for five hundred and ninety-five years, and he conceived sons and daughters.31Y fueron todos los días de Lamec setecientos setenta y siete años, y murió. Noé tenía quinientos años, cuando engendró a Sem, Cam y Jafet. And all the days of Lamech that passed were seven hundred and seventy-seven years, and then he died. In truth, when Noah was five hundred years old, he conceived Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
