Hebreos 1
1. Dios que en los tiempos antiguos habló a los padres en muchas ocasiones y de muchas maneras por los profetas, In many places and in many ways, in past times, God spoke to the fathers through the Prophets;2en los últimos días nos ha hablado a nosotros en su Hijo, a quien ha constituido heredero de todo y por quien también hizo las edades; lastly, in these days, he has spoken to us through the Son, whom he appointed as the heir of all things, and through whom he made the world.3el cual es el resplandor de su gloria y la impronta de su substancia, y sustentando todas las cosas con la palabra de su poder, después de hacer la purificación de los pecados se ha sentado a la diestra de la Majestad en las alturas, And since the Son is the brightness of his glory, and the figure of his substance, and is carrying all things by the Word of his virtue, thereby accomplishing a purging of sins, he sits at the right hand of Majesty on high.4llegado a ser tanto superior a los ángeles cuanto el nombre que heredó es más eminente que el de ellos. And having been made so much better than the Angels, he has inherited a name so much greater than theirs.5Pues ¿a cuál de los ángeles dijo (Dios) alguna vez: “Hijo mío eres Tú, hoy te he engendrado”; y también: “Yo seré su Padre, y Él será mi Hijo”? For to which of the Angels has he ever said: “You are my Son; today have I begotten you?” Or again: “I will be a Father to him, and he shall be a Son to me?”6Y al introducir de nuevo al Primogénito en el mundo dice: “Y adórenlo todos los ángeles de Dios”. And again, when he brings the only-begotten Son into the world, he says: “And let all the Angels of God adore him.”7Respecto de los ángeles (solo) dice: “El que hace de sus ángeles vientos y de sus ministros llamas de fuego”. And about the Angels, certainly, he says: “He makes his Angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire.”8Mas al Hijo le dice: “Tu trono, oh Dios, por el siglo del siglo; y cetro de rectitud el cetro de tu reino. But about the Son: “Your throne, O God, is forever and ever. The scepter of your kingdom is a scepter of equity.9Amaste la justicia y aborreciste la iniquidad; por eso te ungió, oh Dios, el Dios tuyo con óleo de alegría más que a tus copartícipes”. You have loved justice, and you have hated iniquity. Because of this, God, your God, has anointed you with the oil of exultation, above your companions.”10Y también: “Tú, Señor, en el principio fundaste la tierra, y obra de tu mano son los cielos; And: “In the beginning, O Lord, you founded the earth. And the heavens are the work of your hands.11ellos perecerán, mas Tú permaneces; y todos ellos envejecerán como un vestido; These shall pass away, but you will remain. And all will grow old like a garment.12los arrollarás como un manto, como una capa serán mudados. Tú empero eres el mismo y tus años no se acabarán”. And you will change them like a cloak, and they shall be changed. Yet you are ever the same, and your years will not diminish.”13Y ¿a cuál de los ángeles ha dicho jamás: “Siéntate a mi diestra hasta que Yo ponga a tus enemigos por escabel de tus pies”? But to which of the Angels has he ever said: “Sit at my right hand, until I make your enemies your footstool?”14¿No son todos ellos espíritus servidores, enviados para servicio a favor de los que han de heredar la salvación? Are they not all spirits of ministration, sent to minister for the sake of those who shall receive the inheritance of salvation?
