Oseas 14

1Samaria será castigada, porque se ha rebelado contra su Dios; caerán a espada; serán estrellados sus niños, y será abierto el vientre de sus mujeres encintas. Let Samaria perish, because she has urged her God towards bitterness. Let them perish by the sword, let their little ones be thrown down, and let their pregnant women be cut in two.2¡Conviértete, oh Israel, a Yahvé tu Dios, porque has caído por tu iniquidad! Israel, convert to the Lord your God. For you have been ruined by your own iniquity.3¡Reflexionad y volveos a Yahvé! Decidle: ¡Quita Tú toda iniquidad y acepta lo que es bueno! Y te tributaremos los sacrificios de nuestros labios. Take these words with you and return to the Lord. And say to him, “Remove all iniquity and accept the good. And we will repay the calves of our lips.4No nos salvará Asiria, ya no montaremos en caballos; no llamaremos en adelante dioses nuestros a las hechuras de nuestras manos; pues en Ti halla misericordia el huérfano. Assur will not save us; we will not ride on horses. Neither will we say any more, ‘The works of our hands are our gods,’ for those that are in you will have mercy on the orphan.”5Yo sanaré sus infidelidades; los amaré por pura gracia; porque mi ira se habrá apartado de ellos. I will heal their contrition; I will love them spontaneously. For my wrath has been turned away from them.6Seré como rocío para Israel; brotará como el lirio y echará raíces como el Líbano. I will be like the dew; Israel will spring forth like the lily, and his root will spread out like that of the cedars of Lebanon.7Sus ramas se extenderán, será su lozanía como la del olivo, y su fragancia como la del Líbano. His branches will advance, and his glory will be like the olive tree, and his fragrance will be like that of the cedars of Lebanon.8Volverán y se sentarán bajo su sombra, crecerán como el trigo, y florecerán como la vid, y su fama será como la del vino del Líbano. They will be converted, sitting in his shadow. They will live on wheat, and they will grow like a vine. His memorial will be like the wine of the cedars of Lebanon.9Entonces (dirá) Efraím: “¿Qué tengo yo que ver ya con los ídolos?” Y Yo le responderé, y lo veré como abeto verde. ¡De Mí saldrán tus frutos! Ephraim will say, “What are idols to me anymore?” I will listen to him, and I will set him straight like a healthy spruce tree. Your fruit has been found by me.10¿Quién es el sabio que esto comprenda, el hombre inteligente que lo conozca? Porque rectos son los caminos de Yahvé, y los justos andan por ellos; mas los prevaricadores hallan en ellos su ruina. Who is wise and will understand this? Who has understanding and will know these things? For the ways of the Lord are straight, and the just will walk in them, but truly, the traitors will fall in them.
