And in the last days, the mountain of the house of the Lord will be prepared at the summit of the mountains, and it will be exalted above the hills, and all the nations shall flow to it.3Y llegarán muchos pueblos y dirán: “¡Venid, subamos al monte de Yahvé, a la Casa del Dios de Jacob! Él nos enseñará sus caminos, e iremos por sus sendas”; pues de Sión saldrá la ley, y de Jerusalén la palabra de Yahvé. And many peoples will go, and they will say: “Let us approach and ascend to the mountain of the Lord, and to the house of the God of Jacob. And he will teach us his ways, and we will walk in his paths.” For the law will go forth from Zion, and the Word of the Lord from Jerusalem.4El será árbitro entre las naciones, y juzgará a muchos pueblos; y de sus espadas forjarán rejas de arado, y de sus lanzas hoces. No alzará ya espada pueblo contra pueblo, ni aprenderán más la guerra. And he will judge the nations, and he will rebuke many peoples. And they shall forge their swords into plowshares, and their spears into sickles. Nation will not lift up sword against nation, neither will they continue to train for battle.5¡Casa de Jacob, venid, y caminemos en la luz de Yahvé! O house of Jacob, let us approach and walk in the light of the Lord.6Pues Tú desechaste a tu pueblo, la casa de Jacob, por cuanto están llenos (de la corrupción) del Oriente; son agoreros como los filisteos, y pactan con los extranjeros. For you have cast aside your people, the house of Jacob, because they have been filled up, as in past times, and because they have had soothsayers as the Philistines have, and because they have joined themselves to foreign servants.7Su tierra está llena de plata y de oro, y sus tesoros no tienen fin; Their land has been filled with silver and gold. And there is no end to their storehouses.8llena está su tierra también de caballos, y son innumerables sus carros. Su tierra rebosa de ídolos; se prosternan ante las obras de sus manos, ante lo que han fabricado sus dedos. And their land has been filled with horses. And their four-horse chariots are innumerable. And their land has been filled with idols. They have adored the work of their hands, which their own fingers have made.9(Todo) hombre se postró, y se humillaron los mortales; por tanto no les perdones. And man has bowed himself down, and so man has become debased. Therefore, you should not forgive them.10Métete en la peña y escóndete en el polvo, ante el terror de Yahvé, y ante la gloria de su majestad. Enter into the rock, and hide in a ditch in the soil, from the presence of the fear of the Lord, and from the glory of his majesty.11Entonces serán abatidos los ojos altivos del hombre, y su soberbia quedará humillada; solo Yahvé será ensalzado en aquel día. The lofty eyes of man have been humbled, and the haughtiness of men will be bowed down. Then the Lord alone shall be exalted, in that day.12Pues Yahvé de los ejércitos ha fijado un día (de juicio) contra todos los soberbios y altivos, contra todos los que se ensalzan, para humillarlos, For the day of the Lord of hosts will prevail over all the proud and self-exalted, and over all the arrogant, and each one shall be humbled,13contra todos los cedros del Líbano, altos y erguidos, contra todas las encinas de Basan, and over all the straight and tall cedars of Lebanon, and over all the oaks of Bashan;14contra todos los montes encumbrados, contra todos los collados elevados, and over all the lofty mountains, and over all the elevated hills;15contra toda torre alta y contra toda muralla fortificada, and over every lofty tower, and over every fortified wall;16contra todas las naves de Tarsis y contra todo lo que es hermoso a la vista. and over all the ships of Tarshish, and over all the beauty that may be seen.17Será abatida la altivez de los hombres, y humillada la soberbia humana; Yahvé solo será ensalzado en aquel día; And the loftiness of men will be bowed down, and the haughtiness of men will be brought low. And the Lord alone shall be exalted, in that day.18y todos los ídolos desaparecerán. And idols will be thoroughly crushed.19Se esconderán en las cuevas de las peñas y en los hoyos de la tierra ante el terror de Yahvé y ante la gloria de su majestad, cuando Él se levantare para causar espanto en la tierra. And they will go into the caves of the rocks, and into the caverns of the earth, from the presence of the dread of the Lord, and from the glory of his majesty, when he will have risen up to strike the earth.20En aquel día el hombre arrojará sus ídolos de plata, y sus ídolos de oro, que se hizo para adorarlos, a los topos y a los murciélagos, In that day, man shall cast aside his idols of silver and his images of gold, which he had made for himself, as if to reverence the moles and the bats.21para esconderse en las cavernas de las peñas, y en las hendiduras de las rocas, ante el terror de Yahvé y ante la gloria de su majestad, cuando Él se levantare para causar espanto en la tierra. And so he will go into the clefts of the rocks, and into the caverns of stone, from the presence of the dread of the Lord, and from the glory of his majesty, when he will have risen up to strike the earth.22¡Cesad de confiar en el hombre, cuya vida no es más que un soplo de su nariz! Pues ¿de qué valor es el (hombre)? Therefore, rest away from man, whose breath is in his nostrils, for he considers himself to be exalted.
