Isaías 45
1Así dice Yahvé a su ungido, a Ciro, a quien he tomado de la derecha, para derribar delante de él naciones, y desceñir la cintura de reyes; para abrir ante él las puertas a fin de que las puertas no le estén cerradas: Thus says the Lord to my anointed Cyrus, whose right hand I hold, so that I may subjugate the nations before his face, and I may turn the backs of kings, and I may open the doors before him, and so that the gates will not be shut.2“Yo iré delante de ti, y allanaré los caminos escabrosos, romperé las puertas de bronce, y haré añicos los cerrojos de hierro. I will go before you. And I will humble the glorious ones of the earth. I will shatter the gates of brass, and I will break apart the bars of iron.3Te daré los tesoros escondidos, y las riquezas de lugares secretos, para que sepas que Yo, Yahvé; soy el Dios de Israel, el que te llamo por tu nombre. And I will give you hidden treasures and the knowledge of secret things, so that you may know that I am the Lord, the God of Israel, who calls your name.4Por amor de Jacob, mi siervo, y por amor de Israel, mi escogido, te llamé por tu nombre; te puse nombre cuando no me conocías aún. For the sake of Jacob, my servant, and Israel, my elect, I have even called you by your name. I have taken you up, and you have not known me.5Yo soy Yahvé, y no hay otro; fuera de Mí no hay Dios alguno. Yo te ceñí cuando no me conocías, I am the Lord, and there is no one else. There is no god beside me. I girded you, and you have not known me.6a fin de que sepan (todos), desde el Oriente hasta el Occidente, que no hay ninguno fuera de Mí. Yo soy Yahvé, y no hay otro. So may those who are from the rising of the sun, and those who are from its setting, know that there is no one beside me. I am the Lord, and there is no other.7Yo formo la luz, y creo las tinieblas; doy la prosperidad y causo el mal; Yo, Yahvé, hago todas estas cosas. I form the light and create the darkness. I make peace and create disaster. I, the Lord, do all these things.8Derramad, oh cielos, desde arriba el rocío, y lluevan las nubes la justicia; ábrase la tierra y produzca la salvación; y brote juntamente con ella la justicia. Yo, Yahvé, soy autor de estas cosas.” Send down dew from above, O heavens, and let the clouds rain down upon the just! Let the earth open and spring forth a savior! And let justice rise up at once! I, the Lord, have created him.9¡Ay de aquel que disputa con su Creador, y no es más que un tiesto entre los tiestos de barro! ¿Dirá acaso el barro al alfarero: “¿Qué es lo que haces?, tu obra no tiene valor.”? Woe to him who contradicts his Maker, a mere shard from an earthen vessel! Should the clay say to the potter, “What are you making?” or, “Your work is not made by your hands?”10¡Ay del que dice al padre: “¿Por qué engendras?” y a la mujer: “¿Por qué das a luz?” Woe to him who says to his father, “Why did you conceive?” or to a woman, “Why did you give birth?”11Esto dice Yahvé, el Santo de Israel y su Hacedor: “¿Acaso me vais a preguntar sobre las cosas venideras, y darme preceptos respecto de mis hijos y la obra de mis manos? Thus says the Lord, the Holy One of Israel, his Maker: Would you question me about the future, concerning my sons, and command me concerning the work of my hands?12Yo hice la tierra, y creé en ella al hombre; Yo, mis mismas manos desplegaron los cielos, y Yo doy mis órdenes a toda su milicia. I made the earth, and I created man upon it. My hand stretched out the heavens, and I have commanded all their hosts.13En mi justicia suscité un (libertador), y allano todos sus pasos. Él edificará mi ciudad y dará libertad a mis cautivos, sin rescate y sin dádivas.” Así dice Yahvé de los ejércitos. I have raised him up unto justice, and I will direct all his ways. He himself will build my city and release my captives, but not for ransom or gifts, says the Lord, the God of hosts.14Así dice Yahvé: “Las labores de Egipto y las ganancias de Etiopía, y los sabeos, hombres de elevada estatura, pasarán a ti, y serán tuyos; marcharán en pos de ti, en cadenas pasarán; se prosternarán delante de ti, suplicándote: «Solamente en medio de ti está Dios, y no hay otro Dios, no hay absolutamente ninguno.» Thus says the Lord: The labor of Egypt, and the business dealings of Ethiopia, and of the Sabeans, men of stature, will pass to you and will be yours. They will walk behind you. They will travel, bound in irons. And they will adore you and petition you: “In you alone is God, and there is no God apart from you.15Verdaderamente Tú eres un Dios escondido, el Dios de Israel, el Salvador. Truly, you are a hidden God, the God of Israel, the Savior.”16Avergonzados y cubiertos de ignominia han quedado todos; llenos de oprobio se van a una los fabricantes de ídolos. They have all been confounded and should be ashamed! These fabricators of errors have departed together into confusion!17Israel, empero, es salvado por Yahvé con salvación eterna; no seréis avergonzados ni confundidos nunca jamás.” Israel is saved in the Lord by an eternal salvation. You will not be confounded, and you will not be ashamed, even forever and ever.18Porque así dice Yahvé, el que creó los cielos, ese mismo Dios que formó la tierra y la afirmó. No hizo de ella un caos, sino que la formó para ser habitada. “Yo soy Yahvé, y no hay otro. For thus says the Lord, who created the heavens, God himself who formed the earth and made it, the very Molder of it. He did not create it to no purpose. He formed it so that it would be inhabited. I am the Lord, and there is no other.19No he hablado en secreto, en algún lugar oscuro del mundo; tampoco he dicho a la estirpe de Jacob: «Buscadme en vano.» Yo, Yahvé, digo lo que es justo, anuncio lo que es recto. I have not spoken in secret, in a dark place of the earth. I have not said to the offspring of Jacob, “Seek me in vain.” I am the Lord, who speaks justice, who announces what is right.20Congregaos, y venid; acercaos todos los que habéis escapado de las naciones. Son necios los que llevan su ídolo de madera, invocando a un dios que no puede salvar. Assemble yourselves, and approach, and draw near together, you who have been saved among the Gentiles. They lack knowledge, who lift up the wood of their sculpture, and who petition a god unable to save.21Publicadlo, y hacedlos venir; y deliberen unos con otros. ¿Quién anunció desde antiguo estas cosas? ¿quién las predijo desde entonces? ¿No fui Yo, Yahvé? Pues fuera de Mí no hay otro Dios. (Yo soy el) Dios justo y salvador, no hay sino Yo. Announce it, and approach, and consult together. Who has caused this to be heard from the beginning, and who has foretold it from that time? Is it not I, the Lord? And is there some other god beside me? I am a just God who saves, and there is no one except me.22Convertíos a Mí, y seréis salvos, todos los términos de la tierra; porque Yo soy Dios, y no hay otro. All ends of the earth, be converted to me, and you will be saved. For I am God, and there is no other.23Por Mí mismo lo juro; de mi boca sale justicia, y (mi) palabra no será revocada, pues ante Mí se doblará toda rodilla, y toda lengua prestará juramento.” I have sworn by myself. The Word of justice will proceed from my mouth, and it will not turn back.24Se dirá de Mí: “Solamente en Yahvé hay justicia y fuerza.” Vendrán a Él y serán avergonzados todos los que contra Él se agitan. For every knee shall bend to me, and every tongue shall swear it.25En Yahvé serán justificados y glorificados todos los hijos de Israel. Therefore, he will say, “In the Lord are my justices and my dominion.” They will go to him. And all who fight against him will be confounded.
