Isaías 52
1¡Despierta, despierta, vístete de tu fortaleza, oh Sión; viste tus vestiduras de gala, oh Jerusalén, ciudad santa! pues el incircunciso y el inmundo ya no volverán a entrar en ti. Rise up, Rise up! Clothe yourself in strength, O Zion! Put on the garments of your glory, O Jerusalem, the city of the Holy One! For the uncircumcised and the unclean will no longer pass through you.2¡Sacúdete el polvo, levántate, toma asiento, oh Jerusalén; desata las ligaduras de tu cuello, oh cautiva, hija de Sión! Shake yourself from the dust! Arise and sit up, O Jerusalem! Loose the chains from your neck, O captive daughter of Zion!3Porque así dice Yahvé: “De balde fuisteis vendidos, y sin dinero seréis rescatados.” For thus says the Lord: You were sold for nothing, and you will be redeemed without money.4Pues esto dice Yahvé, el Señor: Al principio bajó mi pueblo a Egipto, para habitar allí; y Asiria lo oprimió sin causa. For thus says the Lord God: My people descended into Egypt, in the beginning, in order to sojourn there. But the Assyrian oppressed them, without any cause at all.5Y ahora, ¿qué hago yo aquí?, dice Yahvé; porque mi pueblo ha sido llevado por nada. Aúllan sus tiranos, dice Yahvé, y continuamente día por día es blasfemado mi Nombre. And now, what is left for me here, says the Lord? For my people have been taken away without cause. Their lords treat them unjustly, says the Lord. And my name is being continually blasphemed all day long.6Por eso mi pueblo conocerá mi Nombre; (conocerá) en aquel día que soy Yo quien dice: “Heme aquí.” Because of this, my people will know my name, in that day. For it is I myself who is speaking. Behold, I am here.7Cuan hermosos sobre los montes los pies del mensajero de albricias, que trae la buena nueva de la paz, que anuncia felicidad y pregona la salvación; diciendo a Sión: “Reina tu Dios.” How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of the messenger and the preacher of peace! Announcing good and preaching peace, they are saying to Zion, “Your God will reign!”8(Se oye) la voz de tus atalayas; alzan el grito y prorrumpen en cánticos todos, porque con sus propios ojos ven el retorno de Yahvé a Sión. It is the voice of your watchmen. They have lifted up their voice. They will praise together. For they will see eye to eye, when the Lord converts Zion.9Saltad de júbilo, cantad a una, ruinas de Jerusalén; pues Yahvé ha consolado a su pueblo, ha rescatado a Jerusalén. Be glad and rejoice together, O deserts of Jerusalem! For the Lord has consoled his people. He has redeemed Jerusalem.10Yahvé ha revelado su santo brazo a la vista de todas las naciones, y todos los confines de la tierra verán la salvación obrada por nuestro Dios. The Lord has prepared his holy arm, in the sight of all the Gentiles. And all the ends of the earth will see the salvation of our God.11Marchad, marchaos, salid de allí; no toquéis cosa inmunda; salid de en medio de ella; purificaos, los que lleváis el equipaje de Yahvé. Depart, depart, get out of here! Do not be willing to touch what is polluted. Go out from her midst! Be cleansed, you who bear the vessels of the Lord.12Pues no saldréis precipitadamente, ni partiréis como fugitivos, porque vuestra vanguardia es Yahvé, y vuestra retaguardia el Dios de Israel. For you will not go out in a tumult, nor will you take flight in a hurry. For the Lord will precede you, and the God of Israel will gather you.13He aquí que mi Siervo está lleno de sabiduría, será grande, excelso y ensalzado sobremanera. Behold, my servant will understand; he will be exalted and lifted up, and he will be very sublime.14Pero muchos se pasmarán de él —tan desfigurado está, su aspecto ya no es de hombre, y su figura no es como la de los hijos de los hombres—. Just as they were stupefied over you, so will his countenance be without glory among men, and his appearance, among the sons of men.15Él rociará a muchas naciones; y ante él los reyes cerrarán la boca, al ver lo que no les había sido contado, al contemplar lo que nunca habían oído. He will sprinkle many nations; kings will close their mouth because of him. And those to whom he was not described, have seen. And those who have not heard, have considered.
