Isaías 60

¹Álzate y resplandece, porque viene tu lumbrera, y la gloria de Yahvé brilla sobre ti. Rise up to be illuminated, O Jerusalem! For your light has arrived, and the glory of the Lord has risen over you.²Pues mientras las tinieblas cubren la tierra, y densa oscuridad a las naciones, se levanta sobre ti Yahvé, y se deja ver sobre ti su gloria. For behold, darkness will cover the earth, and thick darkness will cover the peoples. Then the Lord will rise above you, and his glory will be seen in you.³Los gentiles vendrán hacia tu luz, y reyes a ver el resplandor de tu nacimiento. And the nations will walk in your light, and the kings will walk by the splendor of your rising.⁴Alza tus ojos y mira en torno tuyo: todos estos se congregaron y vendrán a ti; vendrán de lejos tus hijos, y tus hijas serán traídas al hombro. Lift up your eyes all around and see! All these have been gathered together; they have arrived before you. Your sons will arrive from far away, and your daughters will rise up from your side.⁵Entonces lo verás, y te extasiarás; palpitará tu corazón y se ensanchará; pues te serán traídas las riquezas del mar; y te llegarán los tesoros de los pueblos. Then you will see, and you will overflow, and your heart will be amazed and expanded. When the multitude of the sea will have been converted to you, the strength of the nations will approach you.⁶Muchedumbre de camellos te inundará, dromedarios de Madián y Efá. Todos ellos vienen de Sabá, trayendo oro e incienso y pregonando las glorias de Yahvé. A multitude of camels will inundate you: the dromedaries from Midian and Ephah. All those from Sheba will arrive, carrying gold and frankincense, and announcing praise to the Lord.⁷Todos los rebaños de Cedar serán congregados para ti, a tu disposición estarán los carneros de Nabayot; serán ofrecidos como (sacrificios) gratos sobre mi altar; y haré gloriosa la Casa de mi Majestad. All the flocks of Kedar will be gathered together before you; the rams of Nebaioth will minister to you. They will be offered upon my pleasing altar, and I will glorify the house of my majesty.⁸¿Quiénes son estos que vienen volando como una nube, como palomas que (vuelven) a su palomar? Who are these ones, who fly like the clouds and like doves to their windows?⁹Porque tierras lejanas esperarán en Mí; las naves de Tarsis serán las primeras en traer de lejos tus hijos, y con ellos su plata y su oro para el nombre de Yahvé, tu Dios, y para el Santo de Israel, pues Él te glorifica. For the islands await me, and the ships of the sea in the beginning, so that I may lead your sons from far away, their silver and their gold with them, to the name of the Lord your God and to the Holy One of Israel. For he has glorified you.¹⁰Los extranjeros edificarán tus muros, y sus reyes te servirán; porque en mi ira te castigué, pero a causa de mi bondad tengo piedad de ti. And the sons of sojourners will build up your walls, and their kings will minister to you. For in my wrath, I have struck you. And in my reconciliation, I have taken pity on you.¹¹Tus puertas estarán siempre abiertas; no se cerrarán ni de día ni de noche; para introducir en ti las riquezas de los gentiles y conducir allí a sus reyes. And your gates will be open continually. They will not be closed day or night, so that the strength of the nations may be brought before you, and their kings may be lead in.¹²Porque la nación y el reino que no te sirvan, perecerán, y los gentiles serán completamente exterminados. For the nation and the kingdom that will not serve you will perish. And the Gentiles will be devastated by solitude.¹³Vendrá a ti la gloria del Líbano, el abeto, el olmo y el cedro juntamente, para adornar el lugar de mi Santuario; pues haré glorioso el lugar donde posan mis pies. The glory of Lebanon will arrive before you, the fir tree and the box tree and the pine tree together, to adorn the place of my sanctification. And I will glorify the place of my feet.¹⁴Vendrán a ti, encorvados, los hijos de los que te humillaron, y se postrarán a las plantas de tus pies todos los que te despreciaron; y te llamarán “Ciudad de Yahvé”, “Sión del Santo de Israel”. And the sons of those who humiliate you will approach and will bow down before you. And all who detract you will reverence the path of your feet. And they will call you the City of the Lord, the Zion of the Holy One of Israel.¹⁵Por cuanto estuviste abandonada y aborrecida, sin que nadie te frecuentase, haré que seas la gloria de los siglos, el gozo de todas las generaciones. For though you were forsaken, and held in hatred, and there was no one who would pass near you, I will establish you as an everlasting glory, as a gladness from generation to generation.¹⁶Mamarás la leche de los gentiles, pechos de reyes te alimentarán; y conocerás que Yo, Yahvé, soy tu Salvador, y que el Fuerte de Jacob es tu Redentor. And you will drink the milk of the Gentiles, and you will be nursed at the breasts of kings, and you will know that I am the Lord, your Savior and your Redeemer, the Strong One of Jacob.¹⁷En vez de bronce traeré oro, en vez de hierro, plata, en vez de madera, bronce, en vez de piedras, hierro. Por gobierno tuyo pondré la paz, y por magistrados tuyos la justicia. In exchange for brass, I will bring gold; and in exchange for iron, I will bring silver; and for wood, brass; and for stones, iron. And I will make your visitation into peace, and your leaders into justice.¹⁸No se oirá más hablar de violencia en tu tierra, de desolación y ruina en tus confines; tus muros los llamarás “Salvación”, y tus puertas “Alabanza”. Iniquity will no longer be heard in your land, nor devastation and destruction in your borders. And salvation will occupy your walls, and praise will occupy your gates.¹⁹No será ya el sol tu luz durante el día, ni te alumbrará la luz de la luna; porque Yahvé será para ti eterna lumbrera, y tu esplendor el Dios tuyo. The sun will no longer be your light by day, nor will the brightness of the moon illuminate you. Instead, the Lord will be an everlasting light for you, and your God will be your glory.²⁰No se pondrá más tu sol, ni faltará tu luna; porque tu luz eterna será Yahvé, y los días de tu llanto se habrán acabado. Your sun will no longer set, and your moon will not diminish. For the Lord will be an everlasting light for you, and the days of your mourning will be completed.²¹El pueblo tuyo se compondrá solamente de justos y heredarán para siempre la tierra; serán renuevos plantados por Mí mismo, obra de mi mano, para gloría (mía). And your people will all be just. They will inherit the earth in perpetuity, the seedling of my planting, the work of my hand, so as to glorify me.²²El más pequeño vendrá a ser mil, y del más chico saldrá una nación poderosa. Yo, Yahvé, haré súbitamente esto a su tiempo. The least will become a thousand, and a little one will become a very strong nation. I, the Lord, will accomplish this, suddenly, in its time.
