Isaías 6
1En el año en que murió el rey Ocías, vi al Señor sentado en un trono alto y excelso y las faldas de su vestido llenaban el Templo. In the year in which king Uzziah died, I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, sublime and exalted, and the things that were under him filled the temple.2Encima de Él había serafines, cada uno de los cuales tenía seis alas: con dos se cubrían el rostro, con dos los pies, y con dos volaban. The Seraphim were standing above the throne. One had six wings, and the other had six wings: with two they were covering his face, and with two they were covering his feet, and with two they were flying.3Y clamaban unos a otros, diciendo: “Santo, santo, santo es Yahvé de los ejércitos, llena está toda la tierra de su gloria.” And they were crying out to one another, and saying: “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God of hosts! All the earth is filled with his glory!”4Y los fundamentos de los umbrales se conmovieron a la voz del que clamaba; y la Casa se llenó de humo. And the lintels above the hinges were shaken at the voice of the one crying out. And the house was filled with smoke.5Entonces dije: “¡Ay de mí, que estoy perdido! Pues soy hombre de labios impuros, y habito en un pueblo de labios impuros, y mis ojos han visto al Rey, Señor de los ejércitos.” And I said: “Woe to me! For I have remained silent. For I am a man of unclean lips, and I live in the midst of a people having unclean lips, and I have seen with my eyes the King, the Lord of hosts!”6Y voló hacia mí uno de los serafines, que tenía en su mano una brasa ardiente, la cual con las tenazas había tomado de encima del altar. And one of the Seraphim flew to me, and in his hand was a burning coal, which he had taken with tongs from the altar.7Con ella tocó mi boca y dijo: “Mira, esto ha tocado tus labios; quitada está tu iniquidad, y expiado tu pecado.” And he touched my mouth, and he said, “Behold, this has touched your lips, and so your iniquities will be taken away, and your sin will be cleansed.”8Y oí la voz del Señor que decía: “¿A quién enviaré, y quién irá por nosotros?” Respondí: “Heme aquí; envíame a mí.” And I heard the voice of the Lord, saying: “Whom shall I send?” and, “Who will go for us?” And I said: “Here I am. Send me.”9Y dijo Él: “Ve y di a este pueblo: Oíd, y no entendáis; ved, y no conozcáis. And he said: “Go forth! And you shall say to this people: ‘When you listen, you will hear and not understand. And when you see a vision, you will not comprehend.’10Embota el corazón de este pueblo, y haz que sean sordos sus oídos y ciegos sus ojos; no sea que vea con sus ojos, y oiga con sus oídos, y con su corazón entienda, y se convierta y encuentre salud.” Blind the heart of this people. Make their ears heavy and close their eyes, lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and be converted, and then I would heal them.”11Yo pregunté: “¿Hasta cuándo, Señor?”. Y respondió: “Hasta que las ciudades queden devastadas y sin moradores, y las casas sin habitantes, y la tierra convertida en ruina completa; And I said, “For how long, O Lord?” And he said, “Until the cities are desolate, without an inhabitant, and the houses are without a man, and the land will be left behind, deserted.”12hasta que Yahvé arroje lejos a los hombres, y la desolación abunde en medio de la tierra. For the Lord will take the men far away, and she who will have been left behind will be multiplied in the midst of the earth.13Y si quedare de ellos solo la décima parte, volverán a ser destruidos. Mas como del terebinto y de la encina, aun talados, queda el tronco, así el tronco de (Israel) será semilla santa.” But still, there will be a tithing within her, and she will be converted, and she will be put on display, like a terebinth tree and like an oak which extends its branches. And what will remain standing within her will be a holy offspring.
