1En aquel día cantaron Débora y Barac, hijo de Abinoam, el siguiente canto: In that day, Deborah and Barak, the son of Abinoam, sang out, saying:2“Los príncipes de Israel al frente, ofrece el pueblo su vida. ¡Bendecid a Yahvé! “All you of Israel who have willingly offered your lives to danger, bless the Lord!3Escuchad, reyes; prestad atención, príncipes; que yo, sí, yo cantaré a Yahvé, cantaré a Yahvé, el Dios de Israel. Listen, O kings! Pay attention, O princes! It is I, it is I, who will sing to the Lord. I will sing a psalm to the Lord, the God of Israel!4Cuanto Tú, Yahvé, saliste de Seír, avanzaste desde los campos de Edom, se estremeció la tierra, los cielos gotearon, y las nubes se disolvieron en agua. You who ride upon donkeys laboring, and you who sit in judgment, and you who walk along the way, speak out.11En los abrevaderos, libres ya del estruendo de los arqueros, allí se canten las justicias de Yahvé, las justicias de su imperio en Israel. Pues entonces pudo bajar a las puertas el pueblo de Yahvé. Where the chariots were struck together, and the army of the enemies was choked, in that place, let the justices of the Lord be described, and let his clemency be for the brave of Israel. Then did the people of the Lord descend to the gates, and obtain leadership.12¡Despierta, despierta, Débora! ¡Despierta, despierta, entona el himno! ¡Levántate, Barac, hijo de Abinoam, toma presos a tus apresadores! Rise up, rise up, O Deborah! Rise up, rise up, and speak a canticle! Rise up, Barak, and seize your captives, O son of Abinoam.13En aquel tiempo descendió el resto de los nobles del pueblo; Yahvé bajó hacia mí con los valientes. The remnants of the people were saved. The Lord contended with the strong.14De Efraím vinieron los que derrotaron a Amalec; detrás de ti Benjamín entre tu gente. De Maquir llegaron los jefes, de Zabulón los que llevan la vara del mando. The kings came and fought; the kings of Canaan fought at Taanach, beside the waters of Megiddo. And yet they took no spoils.20Desde el cielo lucharon los astros, de sus órbitas lucharon contra Sísara. The conflict against them was from heaven. The stars, remaining in their order and courses, fought against Sisera.21El torrente Kisón los arrastró, el torrente viejo, el torrente Kisón. ¡Pisa firme, oh alma mía! The torrent of Kishon dragged away their carcasses, the onrushing torrent, the torrent of Kishon. O my soul, tread upon the stalwart!22Se rompieron los cascos de los caballos, en la veloz huida de sus guerreros. Garments of diverse colors are being delivered to Sisera as spoils, and various goods are being collected for the adornment of necks.’31¡Así perezcan todos tus enemigos, oh Yahvé! ¡Y los que te aman brillen como el sol cuando sale con toda su fuerza!” Y el país tuvo descanso durante cuarenta años. O Lord, so may all your enemies perish! But may those who love you shine with splendor, as the sun shines at its rising.”
