Jeremías 28
1Aquel mismo año, al principio del reinado de Sedecías, rey de Judá, en el quinto mes del año cuarto, Hananías, hijo de Azur, un profeta de Gabaón, me habló en la Casa de Yahvé, en presencia de los sacerdotes y de todo el pueblo, diciendo: And it happened in that year, in the beginning of the reign of Zedekiah, the king of Judah, in the fourth year, in the fifth month, that Hananiah, the son of Azur, the prophet from Gibeon, spoke to me, in the house of the Lord, in the sight of the priests and all the people, saying:2“Esto dice Yahvé de los ejércitos, el Dios de Israel: He roto el yugo del rey de Babilonia. “Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: I have broken the yoke of the king of Babylon.3Dentro de dos años restituiré a este lugar todos los vasos de la Casa de Yahvé que de aquí se llevó Nabucodonosor, rey de Babilonia, para transportarlos a Babilonia. There are still two years of days, and then I will cause to be carried back to this place all the vessels of the house of the Lord that Nebuchadnezzar, the king of Babylon, took from this place and carried away to Babylon.4También haré volver a este lugar a Jeconías, hijo de Joakim; rey de Judá, y a todos los cautivos de Judá deportados a Babilonia, dice Yahvé; porque Yo quebraré el yugo del rey de Babilonia.” And I will return to this place: Jeconiah, the son of Jehoiakim, the king of Judah, and all those taken captive from Judah, who were brought into Babylon, says the Lord. For I will crush the yoke of the king of Babylon.”5Respondió el profeta Jeremías a Hananías profeta, en presencia de los sacerdotes y todo el pueblo que estaba en la Casa de Yahvé; And Jeremiah the prophet spoke to Hananiah the prophet, before the eyes of the priests and before the eyes of all the people who were standing in the house of the Lord.6y le dijo el profeta Jeremías: “¡Así sea! ¡Hágalo así Yahvé! ¡Cumpla Yahvé tus palabras que has profetizado, de modo que Él haga volver de Babilonia a este lugar los vasos de la Casa de Yahvé y todos los cautivos! And Jeremiah the prophet said: “Amen, may the Lord accomplish this; may the Lord act upon your words, which you have prophesied, so that the vessels may be carried back to the house of the Lord, and so that all those taken captive may return from Babylon to this place.7Pero escucha solo esta palabra que voy a decir a tus oídos, y a oídos de todo el pueblo. Yet truly, listen to this word, which I am speaking to your ears and to the ears of all the people.8Los profetas de tiempos antiguos, que fueron antes de mí y antes de ti, vaticinaron guerras, calamidades y peste contra muchos países y contra grandes reinos. The prophets, who were before me and before you, from the beginning, have prophesied over many lands and over great kingdoms, about war, and about affliction, and about famine.9En cuanto al profeta que profetiza cosas buenas, verificado que se haya su profecía, será reconocido como profeta realmente enviado por Yahvé.” The prophet who has predicted peace, if his word will occur, then the prophet will be known as one whom the Lord has sent in truth.”10Entonces el profeta Hananías tomó el yugo del cuello del profeta Jeremías y lo rompió. And Hananiah the prophet took the chain from the neck of Jeremiah the prophet, and he broke it.11Y habló Hananías delante de todo el pueblo, diciendo: “Esto dice Yahvé: De la misma manera romperé Yo, dentro de dos años, el yugo de Nabucodonosor, rey de Babilonia, que está sobre el cuello de todos los pueblos.” Y el profeta Jeremías se fue por su camino. And Hananiah spoke in the sight of all the people, saying: “Thus says the Lord: So shall I break the yoke of Nebuchadnezzar, the king of Babylon, after two years of days, from the neck of all the people.”12Después que Hananías hubo roto el yugo que estaba, sobre el cuello del profeta Jeremías, llegó a este la palabra de Yahvé que decía: And Jeremiah the prophet went his own way. And after Hananiah the prophet had broken the chain from the neck of Jeremiah the prophet, the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah, saying:13“Anda y dile esto a Hananías: Así dice Yahvé: Has quebrado un yugo de madera, pero en su lugar has hecho un yugo de hierro. “Go, and you shall say to Hananiah: Thus says the Lord: You have broken chains of wood, and so you will make for them chains of iron.14Porque así dice Yahvé de los ejércitos, el Dios de Israel: Yo he puesto un yugo de hierro sobre el cuello de todos estos pueblos para que estén sujetos a Nabucodonosor, rey de Babilonia, y le servirán. Hasta los animales del campo le he dado.” For thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: I have placed a yoke of iron on the neck of all these nations, so that they may serve Nebuchadnezzar, the king of Babylon. And they shall serve him. Moreover, I have given to him even the beasts of the earth.”15Y dijo el profeta Jeremías a Hananías profeta: “Escucha, Hananías, Yahvé no te ha enviado, y tú has hecho que este pueblo confíe en la mentira. And Jeremiah the prophet said to Hananiah the prophet: “Listen, Hananiah! The Lord has not sent you, and so you have caused this people to trust in a lie.16Por lo cual, así dice Yahvé: He aquí que te voy a quitar de sobre la tierra; este mismo año morirás, por cuanto has predicado la rebelión contra Yahvé.” For this reason, thus says the Lord: Behold, I will send you away from the face of the earth. This year, you shall die. For you have spoken against the Lord.”17En efecto, murió el profeta Hananías aquel mismo año, en el séptimo mes. And Hananiah the prophet died in that year, in the seventh month.
