Jeremías 30

1Fue dirigida a Jeremías la palabra de Yahvé, que decía: This is the word that came to Jeremiah from the Lord, saying:2“Así habla Yahvé, el Dios de Israel: Escribe en un libro todas las palabras que te he dicho. “Thus says the Lord, the God of Israel, saying: You shall write in a book all the words that I have spoken to you.3Porque he aquí que vendrán días, dice Yahvé, en que trocaré el cautiverio de mi pueblo, Israel y Judá, dice Yahvé, y los haré regresar al país que di a sus padres y lo poseerán.” For behold, the days are approaching, says the Lord, when I will convert the turning away of my people, Israel and Judah, says the Lord. And I will return them to the land which I gave to their fathers, and they will possess it.”4Y estas son las palabras que Yahvé dirige a Israel y a Judá: And these are the words which the Lord has spoken to Israel and to Judah:5“Así dice Yahvé: Hemos oído voces de terror, de espanto, y no de paz. For thus says the Lord: ‘We have heard a voice of terror. There is dread, and there is no peace.’6Preguntad y ved si dan a luz los varones. ¿Cómo es que veo a todos los varones con las manos sobre sus lomos, como parturientas? ¿Y por qué se han vuelto pálidos todos los rostros? Inquire and see, does a male give birth? Then why have I seen every man with his hand on his lower back, like a woman bearing a child? And why have all of their faces turned pale?7¡Ay! porque grande es aquel día, no hay otro que le sea igual. Es el tiempo de angustia para Jacob; mas será librado de ella. Woe! For that day is great, and there is nothing like it. For it is the time of tribulation for Jacob, but he will be saved from it.8En aquel día, dice Yahvé de los ejércitos, quebraré el yugo del (enemigo) sobre tu cerviz, y romperé tus coyundas. No lo sojuzgarán más los extranjeros, And this shall be in that day, says the Lord of hosts: I will crush his yoke from your neck, and I will break open his bands. And strangers will no longer rule over him.9pues servirá a Yahvé su Dios, y a David su rey, que Yo les suscitaré. Instead, they will serve the Lord their God, and David their king, whom I will raise up for them.10Y tú, siervo mío Jacob, no temas, dice Yahvé, ni te amedrentes, oh Israel, que Yo te sacaré de una tierra lejana, y a tus hijos del país de su cautiverio. Jacob volverá, y vivirá quieto y tranquilo, sin que nadie lo espante. Therefore, O my servant Jacob, you should not be afraid, says the Lord, and you should not be frightened, O Israel. For behold, I will save you from a far away land, and your offspring from the land of their captivity. And Jacob will return and have rest, and he shall flow with every good thing. And there will be no one for him to dread.11Porque Yo estoy contigo, dice Yahvé, para librarte; acabaré con todas las naciones donde te he dispersado. A ti, empero no te exterminaré, aunque te castigaré con equidad y no te dejaré del todo impune. For I am with you, says the Lord, so that I may save you. For I will bring about the consummation of all the nations, among which I have scattered you. But I will not bring about your consummation. Instead, I will chastise you in judgment, so that you will not seem innocent to yourself.”12Porque así dice Yahvé: Tu llaga es incurable, y sin remedio tu herida. For thus says the Lord: “Your fracture is incurable; your wound is very serious.13No hay quien tome tu causa para (vendar) tu herida; no hay medicamentos para curarte. There is no one who may judge your judgment, so as to bandage it; there is no useful treatment for you.14Todos tus amantes te han olvidado, no preguntan ya por ti, porque yo te he herido como hiere un enemigo, con pena cruel, en castigo de tus muchas iniquidades, pues son graves tus pecados. All your lovers have forgotten you, and they will not seek you. For I have wounded you with the strike of an enemy, with a cruel chastisement. Your sins have become hardened because of the multitude of your iniquities.15¿Por qué gritas a causa de tu quebranto? Es incurable tu mal; por la muchedumbre de tus iniquidades, y por la gravedad de tus pecados, te he hecho esto. Why do you cry out over your affliction? Your pain is incurable. I have done these things to you because of the multitude of your iniquity and because of your hardened sins.16Mas cuantos te devoran serán devorados, y todos tus opresores serán llevados cautivos; los que te despojan serán despojados, y todos los que te saquean serán saqueados. Because of this, all those who devour you, will be devoured. And all your enemies will be led into captivity. And those who devastate you, will be devastated. And all those who prey upon you, I will offer as a prey.17Pues yo cicatrizaré tu llaga y curaré tus heridas, dice Yahvé; porque te han llamado la «Desechada»; «esta es aquella Sión, por la cual nadie ya pregunta». For I will close up your scar, and I will heal you of your wounds, says the Lord. For they have called you an outcast, O Zion: ‘This is she who has no one asking for her.’ ”18Así dice Yahvé: He aquí que restableceré los tabernáculos de Jacob, y tendré compasión de sus moradas; la ciudad será reedificada sobre su monte, y el palacio se levantará en su lugar antiguo. Thus says the Lord: “Behold, I will turn back the turning away of the tabernacles of Jacob, and I will take pity on his roofs. And the city will be built up in her heights, and the temple will be founded according to its order.19De allí saldrán alabanzas y voces de júbilo, los multiplicaré para que no sean pocos, y los honraré para que no sean despreciados. And praise will go forth from them, with the voice of those who play. And I will multiply them, and they will not be lessened. And I will glorify them, and they will not be weakened.20Serán sus hijos como al principio, su congregación tendrá estabilidad ante Mí; y castigaré a todos sus opresores. And their sons will be as in the beginning. And their assembly will remain in my sight. And I will visit against all those who trouble them.21De ella procederá su príncipe, y de en medio de ella saldrá su dominador; Yo le haré venir, y él se acercará a Mí; pues ¿quién es el que osaría acercarse a Mí?, dice Yahvé. And their ruler will be one of their own. And their prince will be led forward from their midst. And I will draw him near, and he will cling to me. For who is the one who applies his heart, so that he may draw near to me, says the Lord?22Y vosotros seréis mi pueblo, y Yo seré vuestro Dios. And you shall be my people, and I will be your God.”23He aquí que se desata el torbellino de Yahvé, torbellino furioso que se precipita y descarga sobre la cabeza de los impíos. Behold the whirlwind of the Lord, his fury going forth, a destroying storm! It will rest upon the head of the impious.24No cesará el ardor de la ira de Yahvé hasta realizar y cumplir los designios de su corazón. Al fin de los tiempos entenderéis esto. The Lord will not turn back the wrath of his indignation, until he has accomplished and completed the plan of his heart. In the last days, you shall understand these things.
