1Así habló Jesús. Después, levantando sus ojos al cielo, dijo: “Padre, la hora es llegada; glorifica a tu Hijo, para que tu Hijo te glorifique a Ti; Jesus said these things, and then, lifting up his eyes toward heaven, he said: “Father, the hour has arrived: glorify your Son, so that your Son may glorify you,2—conforme al señorío que le conferiste sobre todo el género humano— dando vida eterna a todos los que Tú le has dado. just as you have given authority over all flesh to him, so that he may give eternal life to all those whom you have given to him.3Y la vida eterna es: que te conozcan a Ti, solo Dios verdadero, y a Jesucristo Enviado tuyo. And this is eternal life: that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.4Yo te he glorificado a Ti sobre la tierra dando acabamiento a la obra que me confiaste para realizar. I have glorified you on earth. I have completed the work that you gave me to accomplish.5Y ahora Tú, Padre, glorifícame a Mí junto a Ti mismo, con aquella gloria que en Ti tuve antes que el mundo existiese”. And now Father, glorify me within yourself, with the glory that I had with you before the world ever was.6“Yo he manifestado tu Nombre a los hombres que me diste (apartándolos) del mundo. Eran tuyos, y Tú me los diste, y ellos han conservado tu palabra. I have manifested your name to the men whom you have given to me from the world. They were yours, and you gave them to me. And they have kept your word.7Ahora saben que todo lo que Tú me has dado viene de Ti. Now they realize that all the things that you have given me are from you.8Porque las palabras que Tú me diste se las he dado a ellos, y ellos las han recibido y han conocido verdaderamente que Yo salí de Ti, y han creído que eres Tú quien me has enviado. For I have given them the words that you gave to me. And they have accepted these words, and they have truly understood that I went forth from you, and they have believed that you sent me.9Por ellos ruego; no por el mundo, sino por los que Tú me diste, porque son tuyos. I pray for them. I do not pray for the world, but for those whom you have given to me. For they are yours.10Pues todo lo mío es tuyo, y todo lo tuyo es mío, y en ellos he sido glorificado. And all that is mine is yours, and all that is yours is mine, and I am glorified in this.11Yo no estoy ya en el mundo, pero estos quedan en el mundo mientras que Yo me voy a Ti. Padre Santo, por tu nombre, que Tú me diste, guárdalos para que sean uno como somos nosotros. And though I am not in the world, these are in the world, and I am coming to you. Father most holy, preserve them in your name, those whom you have given to me, so that they may be one, even as we are one.12Mientras Yo estaba con ellos, los guardaba por tu Nombre, que Tú me diste, y los conservé, y ninguno de ellos se perdió sino el hijo de perdición, para que la Escritura fuese cumplida. While I was with them, I preserved them in your name. I have guarded those whom you have given to me, and not one of them is lost, except the son of perdition, so that the Scripture may be fulfilled.13Mas ahora voy a Ti, y digo estas cosas estando (aún) en el mundo, para que ellos tengan en sí mismos el gozo cumplido que tengo Yo. And now I am coming to you. But I am speaking these things in the world, so that they may have the fullness of my joy within themselves.14Yo les he dado tu palabra y el mundo les ha tomado odio, porque ellos ya no son del mundo, así como Yo no soy del mundo. I have given them your word, and the world has hated them. For they are not of the world, just as I, too, am not of the world.15No ruego para que los quites del mundo, sino para que los preserves del Maligno. I am not praying that you would take them out of the world, but that you would preserve them from evil.16Ellos no son ya del mundo, así como Yo no soy del mundo. They are not of the world, just as I also am not of the world.17Santifícalos en la verdad: la verdad es tu palabra. Sanctify them in truth. Your word is truth.18Como Tú me enviaste a Mí al mundo, también Yo los he enviado a ellos al mundo. Just as you have sent me into the world, I also have sent them into the world.19Y por ellos me santifico Yo mismo, para que también ellos “sean santificados, en la verdad”. And it is for them that I sanctify myself, so that they, too, may be sanctified in truth.20“Mas no ruego solo por ellos, sino también por aquellos que, mediante la palabra de ellos, crean en Mí, But I am not praying for them only, but also for those who through their word shall believe in me.21a fin de que todos sean uno, como Tú, Padre, en Mí y Yo en Ti, a fin de que también ellos sean en nosotros, para que el mundo crea que eres Tú el que me enviaste. So may they all be one. Just as you, Father, are in me, and I am in you, so also may they be one in us: so that the world may believe that you have sent me.22Y la gloria que Tú me diste, Yo se la he dado a ellos, para que sean uno como nosotros somos Uno: And the glory that you have given to me, I have given to them, so that they may be one, just as we also are one.23Yo en ellos y Tú en Mí, a fin de que sean perfectamente uno, y para que el mundo sepa que eres Tú quien me enviaste y los amaste a ellos como me amaste a Mí. I am in them, and you are in me. So may they be perfected as one. And may the world know that you have sent me and that you have loved them, just as you have also loved me.24Padre, aquellos que Tú me diste quiero que estén conmigo en donde Yo esté, para que vean la gloria mía, que Tú me diste, porque me amabas antes de la creación del mundo. Father, I will that where I am, those whom you have given to me may also be with me, so that they may see my glory which you have given to me. For you loved me before the founding of the world.25Padre Justo, si el mundo no te ha conocido, te conozco Yo, y estos han conocido que eres Tú el que me enviaste, Father most just, the world has not known you. But I have known you. And these have known that you sent me.26y Yo les hice conocer tu nombre, y se lo haré conocer para que el amor con que me has amado sea en ellos y Yo en ellos”. And I have made known your name to them, and I will make it known, so that the love in which you have loved me may be in them, and so that I may be in them.”
