Job 18
1Entonces Baldad suhita tomó la palabra, y dijo: But Baldad the Suhite responded by saying:2“¿Cuándo acabaréis de hablar? Pensad primero, luego hablaremos. How long will you throw around words? Understand first, and then let us speak.3¿Por qué nos reputas por bestias, y somos unos estúpidos a tus ojos? Why have we been treated like mules, as if we were unworthy before you?4Tú que te desgarras en tu furor, ¿quedará sin ti abandonada la tierra, o cambiarán de lugar las peñas? You, who ruins your own soul in your fury, will the earth be forsaken because of you, and will the cliffs be moved from their place?5Sí, la luz de los malos se apaga, no brillará más la llama de su fuego. Will not the light of the impious be put out, and the flame of his fire refuse to shine?6La luz se oscurecerá en su morada, y encima de él se apagará su lámpara. Light will become darkness in his tabernacle, and the lamp that is over him will be extinguished.7Se cortarán sus pasos tan vigorosos, le precipitará su propio consejo; His strong steps will be constrained, and his own counsel will cast him down uncontrollably.8pues meterá sus pies en la red, y caminará sobre una trampa. Let the memory of him perish from the earth, and let not his name be celebrated in the streets.18De la luz le arrojarán a la tiniebla, y lo echarán fuera del mundo. He will expel him from light into darkness, and he will remove him from the world.19No dejará hijo ni posteridad en su pueblo, ni sobreviviente en el lugar de su peregrinación. Neither his offspring, nor his descendants, will exist among his people, nor will there be any remnants in his country.20En el día (de su caída) se pasmará el Occidente, y el Oriente se sobrecogerá de espanto.
