Job 26
1Replicó Job y dijo: Then Job responded by saying:2“¡Cómo sabes ayudar tú al flaco, y sostener el brazo del que carece de fuerza! Whose assistant are you? Is he weak-minded? And do you sustain the arm of him that is not strong?3¿Qué consejo has dado al falto de sabiduría? ¿qué plenitud de saber has ostentado? To whom have you given advice? Perhaps it is to him that has no wisdom or prudence that you have revealed your many ideas.4¿A quién dirigiste estas palabras? ¿y de quién es el espíritu que procede de tu boca? Who is it that you wanted to teach? Was it not him that created the breath of life?5Hasta los muertos tiemblan, bajo las aguas con sus habitantes. Behold, giant things groan under the waters, and they dwell with them.6El mismo scheol está ante Él desnudo, y el abismo carece de velo. The underworld is naked before him, and there is no covering for perdition.7Él tendió el septentrión sobre el vacío, y colgó la tierra sobre la nada. He stretched out the North over emptiness, and he suspended the land over nothing.8Él encierra las aguas en sus nubes, y no se rompen las nubes bajo su peso. He secures the waters in his clouds, so that they do not burst forth downward all at once.9Él impide la vista de su trono, tendiendo sobre Él su nube. He holds back the face of his throne, and he stretches his cloud over it.10Trazó un círculo sobre el haz de las aguas, hasta donde linda la luz con las tinieblas. He has set limits around the waters, until light and darkness shall reach their limit.11Las columnas del cielo tiemblan, y se estremecen a una amenaza suya. The pillars of heaven tremble and are frightened at his nod.12Con su poder revuelve el mar, y con su sabiduría machaca al monstruo. By his strength, the seas suddenly gather together, and his foresight has struck the arrogant.13Con su soplo hizo serenos los cielos, y su mano formó la fugaz serpiente. His spirit has adorned the heavens, and his birthing hand has brought forth the winding serpent.14Esto es solo el borde de sus caminos, es un leve susurro que hemos oído de Él; pues el trueno de su poder ¿quién podría comprenderlo?” Behold, these things have been said about his ways in part, and, since we barely have heard a small drop of his word, who will be able to gaze upon the thunder of his greatness?
