Levítico 14
1Habló Yahvé a Moisés, diciendo: And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:2“Esta es la ley del leproso en el día de su purificación: Se lo conducirá al sacerdote, This is the rite for a leper, when he is to be cleansed. He shall be brought to the priest,3y el sacerdote saldrá fuera del campamento; y si ve que el leproso ya está curado de la llaga de la lepra, who, departing from the camp, when he has found the leprosy to be cleansed,4mandará tomar para aquel que ha de ser purificado dos pájaros vivos y puros, madera de cedro, púrpura escarlata e hisopo. shall instruct him who is to be purified to offer for himself two living sparrows, which it is lawful to eat, and cedar wood, and vermillion, and hyssop.5Después el sacerdote mandará degollar uno de los pájaros sobre una vasija de barro con agua viva. And he shall order that one of the sparrows be immolated in an earthen vessel over living waters.6Luego tomará el pájaro vivo, la madera de cedro, la púrpura escarlata y el hisopo, los mojará, juntamente con el pájaro vivo, en la sangre del pájaro degollado sobre el agua viva, But the other living one, with the cedar wood, and the scarlet, and the hyssop, he shall dip in the blood of the immolated sparrow.7y rociará siete veces al que ha de ser purificado de la lepra. Así lo purificará; luego soltará en el campo al pájaro vivo. And he shall sprinkle him who is to be cleansed seven times, so that he may be purified justly. And he shall release the living sparrow, so that it may fly away into the field.8Aquel que ha de purificarse lavará sus vestidos, se raerá todo su pelo, y se bañará en agua, y quedará limpio. Después podrá entrar en el campamento; pero durante siete días ha de habitar fuera de su tienda. And when the man will have washed his clothes, he shall shave all the hair from his body, and he shall be washed with water. And having been purified, he shall enter into the camp, only to this extent: that he may remain outside his own tent for seven days.9El día séptimo se raerá todo su pelo, sus cabellos, su barba, sus cejas; en fin, raerá todo su pelo; lavara también sus vestidos, bañará su cuerpo en agua, y quedará limpio. And on the seventh day he shall shave the hair of his head, and his beard, and his eyebrows, as well as the hair of his entire body. And having washed his clothes again, and his body,10El día octavo tomará dos corderos sin tacha y una oveja primal sin tacha, y como oblación tres décimas de flor de harina amasada con aceite, y un log de aceite. on the eighth day, he shall take two immaculate lambs, and a one-year-old female sheep without blemish, and three tenths of fine wheat flour, which has been sprinkled with oil, as a sacrifice, and separately, one twelfth hin of oil.11El sacerdote que hace la purificación, presentará al hombre que ha de purificarse, juntamente con aquellas cosas, ante Yahvé, a la entrada del Tabernáculo de la Reunión; And when the priest purifying the man has presented him and all these things in the sight of the Lord at the door of the tabernacle of the testimony,12y tomará el sacerdote uno de los corderos para ofrecerlo como sacrificio por la culpa, además del log de aceite, y lo mecerá por ofrenda ante Yahvé. he shall take a lamb and offer it for transgression, with the twelfth hin of oil. And having offered all these before the Lord,13Luego inmolará el cordero en el lugar donde se inmola el sacrificio por el pecado y el holocausto, en lugar sagrado; porque así como en el sacrificio por el pecado, así también en el sacrificio por la culpa la víctima es para el sacerdote; es cosa santísima. he shall immolate the lamb, where the victim for sin is usually immolated with the holocaust, that is, in the holy place. For just as with the one for sin, so also the victim for transgression belongs to the priest. It is the Holy of holies.14Después tomará el sacerdote de la sangre de la víctima por el delito, y la pondrá sobre el lóbulo de la oreja derecha del que se está purificando, sobre el pulgar de su mano derecha y sobre el dedo gordo de su pie derecho. And taking some of the blood of the victim, which was immolated for transgression, the priest shall place it upon the tip of the right ear of him who is being cleansed, and upon the thumb of his right hand, and likewise the foot.15Y tomando el log de aceite echará el sacerdote parte de él sobre la palma de su mano izquierda. And he shall send some of the twelfth hin of oil into his own left hand,16Después mojará el sacerdote el dedo de su mano derecha en el aceite que tiene en la palma de su mano izquierda, y con su dedo hará siete aspersiones de aceite delante de Yahvé. and he shall dip his right finger in it, and he shall sprinkle it in the sight of the Lord seven times.17Con el resto del aceite que tiene en la palma de su mano untará el sacerdote el lóbulo de la oreja derecha del que se purifica, el pulgar de su mano derecha y el dedo gordo de su pie derecho, por encima de la sangre de la victima expiatoria. But the oil which remains in his left hand, he shall pour over the tip of the right ear of him who is being cleansed, and upon the thumb of his right hand as well as the foot, and upon the blood which was shed for transgression,18El resto del aceite que queda en la mano del sacerdote, se echara sobre la cabeza del que se purifica, y el sacerdote hará expiación por él ante Yahvé. and upon his head.19Entonces el sacerdote ofrecerá el sacrificio por el pecado, y hará expiación por quien se purifica de su inmundicia, finalmente degollará el holocausto. And he shall pray for him in the sight of the Lord, and he shall accomplish the sacrifice on behalf of sin. Then he shall immolate the holocaust,20Ese holocausto y la oblación los ofrecerá el sacerdote sobre el altar. De esta manera el sacerdote hará expiación por él; y quedará limpio. and place it upon the altar with its libations, and the man will be duly cleansed.21Si es pobre y no tiene suficientes recursos, tomará un cordero que será ofrecido en sacrificio por la culpa, como ofrenda mecida, para hacer expiación por él, y además, como oblación una décima de flor de harina amasada con aceite, y un log de aceite, But if he is poor, and his hand is not able to find what has been said, he shall take a lamb as an offering for transgression, so that the priest may pray for him, and a tenth part of fine wheat flour sprinkled with oil, as a sacrifice, and a twelfth hin of oil,22y dos tórtolas o dos palominos, según sus recursos, el uno como sacrificio por el pecado y el otro para holocausto: and two turtledoves or two young pigeons, of which one may be for sin, and the other as a holocaust.23Al octavo día, los llevará al sacerdote, a la entrada del Tabernáculo de la Reunión, para su purificación delante de Yahvé. And he shall offer them on the eighth day of his purification to the priest at the door of the tabernacle of the testimony in the sight of the Lord.24El sacerdote tomará el cordero del sacrificio por la culpa y el log de aceite, y los mecerá por ofrenda ante Yahvé. And he, receiving the lamb for transgression, and the twelfth hin of oil, shall lift them up together.25Y después de haber inmolado el cordero del sacrificio por la culpa, tomará el sacerdote de la sangre de la victima expiatoria y la pondrá sobre el lóbulo de la oreja derecha del que se purifica, sobre el pulgar de su mano derecha, y sobre el dedo gordo de su pie derecho. And when the lamb has been immolated, he shall place some of its blood upon the tip of the right ear of him who is being cleansed, and upon the thumb of his right hand, as well as the foot.26Luego derramará el sacerdote parte del aceite sobre la palma de su mano izquierda; Yet truly, he shall send part of the oil into his own left hand,27y con el dedo de su mano derecha hará ante Yahvé siete aspersiones, con el aceite que tiene en la palma de su mano izquierda, and dipping the finger of his right hand in it, he shall sprinkle it seven times before the Lord.28y pondrá parte del aceite que tiene en su mano, sobre el lóbulo de la oreja derecha del que se purifica, sobre el pulgar de su mano derecha, y sobre el dedo gordo de su pie derecho, en el lugar donde puso la sangre de la víctima por la culpa. And he shall touch the tip of the right ear of him who is being cleansed, and the thumb of his right hand, as well as the foot, in the place of the blood which was shed for transgression.29El resto del aceite que le queda en la mano lo pondrá el sacerdote sobre la cabeza del que se purifica, haciendo expiación por él ante Yahvé. But the remaining part of the oil which is in his left hand, he shall send upon the head of the one being purified, to appease the Lord on his behalf.30Luego ofrecerá según sus posibilidades una de las tórtolas o de los palominos, And he shall offer a turtledove or a young pigeon,31es decir, en la medida de sus recursos, el uno como sacrificio por el pecado, y el otro para holocausto, además de la oblación. De este modo el sacerdote hará expiación ante Yahvé por aquel que se purifica. one for transgression, and the other as a holocaust, with their libations.32Esta es la ley de purificación para aquel que tiene plaga de lepra y cuyos recursos son limitados.” This is the sacrifice of a leper, who is not able to obtain all of the things concerning his cleansing.33Yahvé habló a Moisés y Aarón y dijo: And the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying:34“Cuando hayáis entrado en la tierra de Canaán que Yo os daré en posesión, y ponga la plaga de la lepra en alguna casa de la tierra de vuestra posesión, When you will have entered into the land of Canaan, which I will give to you as a possession, if there is the mark of leprosy in a building,35el propietario de la casa irá a avisar al sacerdote, diciendo: Me parece que hay algo como lepra en mi casa. he whose house it is shall go and report to the priest, saying: “It seems to me that the mark of leprosy is in my house.”36El sacerdote antes de entrar en la casa para examinar la lepra, dispondrá su evacuación, para que no quede contaminado todo lo que hay en ella. Después entrará a registrar la casa. And he shall instruct them to carry all things out of the house, before he would enter it and see whether it is leprosy, lest all that is in the house become unclean. And after this, he shall enter to examine the leprosy of the house.37Si al examinar la plaga observa que las manchas en las paredes de la casa forman cavidades verdosas y rojizas, que parecen hundidas en la pared, And when he will have seen in its walls something like little hollows, deformed with paleness or redness, and lower than the remaining surface,38el sacerdote se retirará del interior hasta la puerta de la casa y cerrará la casa por siete días. he shall exit by the door of the house, and immediately close it up for seven days.39Volverá el sacerdote al día séptimo y si viere que la lepra se ha extendido en las paredes de la casa, And returning on the seventh day, he shall examine it. If he finds that the leprosy has spread,40mandará arrancar las piedras manchadas y arrojarlas fuera de la ciudad en un lugar inmundo. he shall order the stones in which the leprosy is, to be dug out and cast outside the city in an unclean place,41Hará raspar todo el interior de la casa; y el polvo que quiten raspando, lo echarán fuera de la ciudad en un lugar inmundo. and that the house be scraped on the inside all around, and that the dust of the scrapings be scattered outside the city in an unclean place,42Luego tomarán otras piedras y las volverán a poner en lugar de aquellas y también otra argamasa para revocar la casa. and that other stones be put back, in place of those which had been taken away, and that the house be plastered with other mortar.43Si con todo la plaga volviere a difundirse en la casa después de arrancar las piedras, y después de raspar y revocar la casa, But if, after the stones have been dug out, and the dust wiped away, and it is plastered with other clay,44entrará de nuevo el sacerdote, y si viere que la plaga se ha extendido en la casa, es lepra maligna de la casa y esta es inmunda. the priest, upon entering, will have seen that the leprosy has returned, and that the walls are sprinkled with spots, then it is a persistent leprosy and the house is unclean.45Se derribará aquella casa; y sus piedras y su maderamen y todo el material de la casa, todo será sacado fuera de la ciudad, a un lugar inmundo. And so they shall promptly destroy it, and shall cast its stones and timber, and also all the dust, outside the town in an unclean place.46Quien entrare en esa casa durante todo el tiempo que estuviere cerrada, quedará inmundo hasta la tarde. Whoever enters into the house when it is closed up shall be unclean until evening.47El que durmiere en aquella casa lavará sus vestidos; y también el que comiere en esa casa lavara sus vestidos. And whoever will have slept in it, or eaten anything, shall wash his clothes.48Mas si el sacerdote al entrar nota que la plaga, después de revocada la casa, no ha cundido en ella, la declarará limpia, pues se ha curado de la plaga. But if the priest, upon entering, will have seen that the leprosy has not spread in the house, after it had been newly plastered, he shall purify it, restoring it to health.49Entonces para purificar la casa, tomará dos pájaros, madera de cedro, lana escarlata e hisopo; And for its purification, he shall take two sparrows, and cedar wood, and vermillion, as well as hyssop,50degollará uno de los pájaros sobre una vasija de barro con agua viva: and, having immolated one sparrow in an earthen vessel over living waters,51y tomando la madera de cedro, el hisopo y la lana escarlata, con el pájaro vivo, los mojará en la sangre del pájaro degollado y en el agua viva y rociará la casa siete veces. he shall take the cedar wood, and the hyssop, and the scarlet, and the living sparrow, and he shall dip all these in the blood of the immolated sparrow, and also in the living water, and he shall sprinkle the house seven times.52Así purificará la casa con la sangre del pájaro, con el agua viva, el pájaro vivo, la madera de cedro, el hisopo y la lana escarlata. And he shall purify it as much with the blood of the sparrow as with the living water, and with the living sparrow, and the cedar wood, and the hyssop, and the vermillion.53Luego soltará el pájaro vivo fuera de la ciudad, en el campo. De este modo hará expiación por la casa, la cual quedará limpia. And when he has released the sparrow to fly freely away into the field, he shall pray for the house, and it shall be justly cleansed.54Esta es la ley para toda clase de lepra y de tina, This is the law of every kind of leprosy and plague:55para la lepra del vestido y de la casa, of the leprosy of garments and houses,56y para los tumores y erupciones y manchas blancas, of scars and erupting pustules, of a shining spot, when the appearance is also variegated,57para discernir cuándo una cosa es impura y cuándo es pura.
