Levítico 4
1Habló Yahvé a Moisés, diciendo: And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:2“Habla a los hijos de Israel y diles: Si alguno pecare por ignorancia haciendo algo prohibido por las leyes de Yahvé, y cometiendo alguna de aquellas cosas; Say to the sons of Israel: The soul which will have sinned through ignorance, and concerning any of the commandments of the Lord that he instructed not to be done, if anything at all has been done:3si el que peca es el sacerdote ungido, que de este modo hace culpable al pueblo, ofrecerá a Yahvé por el pecado cometido un becerro sin tacha, como sacrificio por el pecado. if the priest, who is anointed, will have sinned, causing the people to commit a transgression, he shall offer to the Lord for his sin an immaculate calf.4Conducirá el becerro a la entrada del Tabernáculo de la Reunión, ante Yahvé, pondrá su mano sobre la cabeza del becerro y lo inmolará delante de Yahvé. And he shall lead it to the door of the tabernacle of the testimony in the sight of the Lord. And he shall place his hand upon its head, and he shall immolate it to the Lord.5El sacerdote ungido tomará de la sangre del becerro, y la llevará al Tabernáculo de la Reunión; Likewise, he shall take from the blood of the calf, carrying it into the tabernacle of the testimony,6y mojará el sacerdote su dedo en la sangre y hará con ella siete aspersiones ante Yahvé, hacia el velo del Santuario. and having dipped his finger into the blood, he shall sprinkle it seven times in the sight of the Lord, opposite the veil of the Sanctuary.7El sacerdote untará también con la sangre los cuernos del altar del incienso aromático, que está delante de Yahvé en el Tabernáculo de la Reunión; y derramará toda la sangre del becerro al pie del altar de los holocaustos, que está a la entrada del Tabernáculo de la Reunión. And he shall place some of the same blood over the horns of the altar of most pleasing incense to the Lord, which is in the tabernacle of the testimony. Then he shall pour out the remainder of the blood at the base of the altar of holocaust at the entrance of the tabernacle.8Después tomará todo el sebo del becerro inmolado por el pecado, el sebo que cubre las entrañas, todo el sebo que está adherido a las entrañas, And, on behalf of the sin, he shall take the fat of the calf, both that which covers the vital organs and all that is interior,9los dos riñones, el sebo que los cubre, el que hay sobre los ijares, y la telilla del hígado, que cortará de junto a los riñones; the two little kidneys, and the mesh that is on them near the sides, and the fat of the liver with the little kidneys,10es decir, lo mismo que se toma en el becerro del sacrificio pacífico; y el sacerdote lo quemará sobre el altar de los holocaustos. just as it is taken from the calf of the sacrifice of peace offerings. And he shall burn them upon the altar of holocaust.11Mas el cuero del becerro y toda su carne, junto con su cabeza y sus piernas, con sus entrañas y sus excrementos, Yet truly, the skin and all the flesh, with the head and the feet, and the intestines and the dung,12el becerro entero, lo sacará fuera del campamento a un lugar limpio, donde se echan las cenizas, y lo quemará sobre la leña. Será quemado allí donde se echan las cenizas. and the remainder of the body, he shall carry away, beyond the camp, to the clean place where the ashes are usually poured out. And he shall burn them upon a stack of wood. There, in the place where the ashes have been poured out, they will be burned.13Si todo el pueblo de Israel pecare por ignorancia, sin que la asamblea se dé cuenta de ello, de modo que hiciera una cosa prohibida por las leyes de Yahvé, haciéndose así culpable, But if all the crowd of Israel will have been ignorant, and through inexperience will have done what is contrary to the commandment of the Lord,14cuando se conozca el pecado cometido, ofrecerá la asamblea un becerro en sacrificio por el pecado, que presentarán delante del Tabernáculo de la Reunión. and afterwards shall understand their sin: they shall offer a calf on behalf of their sin, and they shall lead it to the door of the tabernacle.15Y los ancianos del pueblo pondrán sus manos sobre la cabeza del becerro, ante Yahvé; y será inmolado el becerro delante de Yahvé. And the elders of the people shall place their hands upon its head in the sight of the Lord. And when the calf has been immolated in the sight of the Lord,16Después el sacerdote ungido llevará parte de la sangre del becerro al Tabernáculo de la Reunión; the priest who is anointed shall carry some of its blood into the tabernacle of the testimony.17y mojará el sacerdote su dedo en la sangre y hará siete aspersiones ante Yahvé hacia el velo. and he shall dip his finger in it, sprinkling it seven times opposite the veil.18Untará también con la sangre los cuernos del altar que está delante de Yahvé y que se halla en el Tabernáculo de la Reunión; y después verterá toda la sangre al pie del altar de los holocaustos, que está a la entrada del Tabernáculo de la Reunión. And he shall place some of the same blood on the horns of the altar, which is in the presence of the Lord in the tabernacle of the testimony. But the remainder of the blood he shall pour out at the base of the altar of holocaust, which is at the door of the tabernacle of the testimony.19Le quitará todo su sebo y lo quemará sobre el altar. And he shall take all its fat and burn it upon the altar,20Hará, pues, con este becerro lo mismo que hizo con el becerro inmolado por el pecado. Así hará con él. De este modo el sacerdote hará expiación por ellos y serán reconciliados. doing so with this calf in the same manner as he did before. And while the priest is praying for them, the Lord will forgive them.21Luego sacará el becerro fuera del campamento y lo quemará como quemó el becerro primero. Este es el sacrificio por el pecado de toda la asamblea. But the calf itself he shall carry away, beyond the camp, and he shall also burn it, just as with the previous calf, because it is for the sin of the multitude.22Cuando un príncipe pecare por ignorancia, cometiendo algo prohibido por las leyes de Yahvé, haciéndose así culpable, If a leader will have sinned, and through ignorance will have done one of the many things which the law of the Lord prohibits,23tan pronto como se diere cuenta del pecado que cometió, dará como ofrenda suya un macho cabrío sin tacha, and afterwards he shall understand his sin: he shall offer an immaculate he-goat from among the goats, as a sacrifice to the Lord.24pondrá su mano sobre la cabeza del macho cabrío y lo degollará en el lugar donde se degüella el holocausto, delante de Yahvé. Es sacrificio por el pecado. And he shall place his hand upon its head. And when he will have immolated it, in the place where the holocaust is usually slain, in the sight of the Lord, because it is for sin,25Después el sacerdote con su dedo tomará de la sangre del sacrificio por el pecado, y la pondrá sobre los cuernos del altar de los holocaustos; la sangre (restante) la derramará al pie del altar de los holocaustos. the priest shall dip his finger in the blood of the victim for sin, touching the horns of the altar of holocaust, and pouring out the remainder at its base.26Quemará todo el sebo en el altar, del mismo modo que quemó el sebo de los sacrificios pacíficos. Así el sacerdote hará expiación por el pecado del (príncipe) y le será perdonado. Yet truly, the fat he shall burn upon it, just as is usually done with the victims of peace offerings. And the priest shall pray for him and for his sin, and he shall be released from it.27Si alguno del pueblo pecare por ignorancia, transgrediendo alguna de las prohibiciones de Yahvé, haciéndose así culpable, But if a soul from the people of the land will have sinned through ignorance, so as to have done any of those things that the law of the Lord prohibits, and so commit a transgression,28al darse cuenta del pecado cometido, dará como ofrenda por el pecado cometido una cabra, hembra, sin tacha, and he shall realize his sin: he shall offer an immaculate she-goat.29pondrá su mano sobre la cabeza del sacrificio por el pecado y la degollará en el lugar donde se degüellan los holocaustos. And he shall place his hand upon the head of the victim which is for sin. And he shall immolate it in the place of the holocaust.30Después tomará el sacerdote con su dedo de esta sangre, la pondrá sobre los cuernos del altar de los holocaustos y derramará todo (el resto de) la sangre al pie del altar. And the priest shall take some of the blood with his finger, and touching the horns of the altar of holocaust, he shall pour out the remainder at its base.31Luego tomará todo el sebo de la víctima, como se hace en los sacrificios pacíficos; y el sacerdote lo quemará en el altar, como olor grato a Yahvé. Así le expiará el sacerdote y le será perdonado. But taking away all the fat, just as it is usually taken away from the victims of peace offerings, he shall burn it upon the altar as a sweet odor to the Lord. And he shall pray for him, and he shall be released from it.32Si trajere como ofrenda suya por el pecado un cordero, ha de ser hembra sin tacha; But if instead he will offer from the flock a victim for his sin, specifically, an immaculate female sheep:33pondrá su mano sobre la cabeza de la víctima por el pecado y la degollará, como sacrificio por el pecado en el lugar donde se degüellan los holocaustos. he shall place his hand upon its head, and he shall immolate it in the place where the victims of holocausts are usually slain.34Después tomará el sacerdote con su dedo de la sangre de la víctima por el pecado y la pondrá sobre los cuernos del altar de los holocaustos; toda la (demás) sangre la derramará al pie del altar. And the priest shall take some of its blood with his finger, and touching the horns of the altar of holocaust, he shall pour out the remainder at its base.35Luego tomará todo el sebo de la víctima, como se hace con el cordero en los sacrificios pacíficos, y el sacerdote lo quemará en el altar, junto con los sacrificios que se queman en honor de Yahvé. Así el sacerdote hará expiación por él, por el pecado cometido, y este le será perdonado.” Likewise, all of the fat shall be taken away, just as the fat of the ram, which is immolated for peace offerings, is usually taken away. And he shall burn it upon the altar as an incense of the Lord. And he shall pray for him and for his sin, and he shall be released from it.
