Lucas 4
1Jesús, lleno del Espíritu Santo, dejó el Jordán, y fue conducido por el Espíritu al desierto; And Jesus, filled with the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan. And he was urged by the Spirit into the wilderness2(donde permaneció) cuarenta días, y fue tentado por el diablo. And when they were completed, he was hungry.3Entonces el diablo le dijo: “Si Tú eres el Hijo de Dios, di a esta piedra que se vuelva pan”. Then the devil said to him, “If you are the Son of God, speak to this stone, so that it may be made into bread.”4Jesús le replicó: “Escrito está: «No solo de pan vivirá el hombre»”. And when all the temptation was completed, the devil withdrew from him, until a time.14Y Jesús volvió con el poder del Espíritu a Galilea, y su fama se difundió en toda la región. And Jesus returned, in the power of the Spirit, into Galilee. And his fame spread throughout the entire region.15Enseñaba en las sinagogas de ellos y era alabado por todos. And they wondered at the words of grace that proceeded from his mouth. And they said, “Is this not the son of Joseph?”23Y les dijo: “Sin duda me aplicaréis aquel refrán: ‘Médico, cúrate a ti mismo’. Ya sé quien eres Tú: el Santo de Dios”. saying: “Let us alone. What are we to you, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know you who you are: the Holy One of God.”35Y Jesús le increpó diciendo: “¡Cállate y sal de él!” Y el demonio, salió de él, derribándolo al suelo en medio de ellos, aunque sin hacerle daño. And Jesus rebuked him, saying, “Be silent and depart from him.” And when the demon had thrown him into their midst, he departed from him, and he no longer harmed him.36Y todos se llenaron de estupor, y se decían unos a otros: “¿Qué cosa es esta que con imperio y fuerza manda a los espíritus inmundos, y salen?” And fear fell over them all. And they discussed this among themselves, saying: “What is this word? For with authority and power he commands the unclean spirits, and they depart.”37Y su fama se extendió por todos los alrededores. Then Jesus, rising up from the synagogue, entered into the house of Simon. Now Simon’s mother-in-law was in the grip of a severe fever. And standing over her, he commanded the fever, and it left her. Then, when the sun had set, all those who had anyone afflicted with various diseases brought them to him. Now demons departed from many of them, crying out and saying, “You are the son of God.” And rebuking them, he would not permit them to speak. For they knew him to be the Christ.42Cuando se hizo de día, salió y se fue a un lugar desierto. Mas las muchedumbres que se pusieron en su busca, lo encontraron y lo retenían para que no las dejase. Then, when it was daytime, going out, he went to a deserted place. And the crowds sought him, and they went all the way to him. And they detained him, so that he would not depart from them.43Pero Él les dijo: “Es necesario que Yo lleve también a otras ciudades la Buena Nueva del reino de Dios, porque para eso he sido enviado”. And he said to them, “I must also preach the kingdom of God to other cities, because it was for this reason that I was sent.”44Y anduvo predicando por las sinagogas de Judea. And he was preaching in the synagogues of Galilee.
