Malaquías 4
1Pues mirad que viene aquel día que arderá como un horno. Todos los soberbios, y todos los obradores de iniquidad, serán como paja; porque aquel día que viene los abrasará, dice Yahvé de los ejércitos, sin dejar de ellos ni raíz ni rama. For, behold, the day will arrive, kindled like a furnace, and all the arrogant and all those who act impiously will be stubble. And the approaching day will inflame them, says the Lord of hosts; it will leave behind for them neither root, nor sprout.2Mas para vosotros que teméis mi Nombre, se levantará el Sol de justicia, que en sus alas traerá la salvación; y saldréis vosotros, y saltaréis como terneros (que salen) del establo. But unto you, who fear my name, the Sun of justice will arise, and health will be in his wings. And you will go forth and leap like the calves of the herd.3Y pisotearéis a los impíos, pues serán como ceniza debajo de las plantas de vuestros pies, en aquel día que Yo preparo, dice Yahvé de los ejércitos. And you will trample the impious, while they will be ashes under the sole of your foot, on the day that I act, says the Lord of hosts.4Acordaos de la Ley de Moisés, mi siervo, a quien intimé en el Horeb mandamientos y preceptos para todo Israel. Remember the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded him on Horeb for all Israel, the precepts and the judgments.5He aquí que os enviaré al profeta Elías, antes que venga el día grande y tremendo de Yahvé. Behold, I will send to you Elijah the prophet, before the arrival of the great and terrible day of the Lord.6El convertirá el corazón de los padres a los hijos, y el corazón de los hijos a los padres; no sea que Yo viniendo hiera la tierra con el anatema. And he will turn the heart of the fathers to the sons, and the heart of the sons to their fathers, lest I come and strike the earth with anathema.
