1Saliendo Jesús del Templo, íbase de allí, y sus discípulos se le acercaron para hacerle contemplar las construcciones, del Templo. And Jesus departed from the temple and went away. And his disciples approached him, so as to show him the buildings of the temple.2Entonces Él les respondió y dijo: “¿Veis todo esto? En verdad, os digo, no quedará aquí piedra sobre piedra que no sea derribada”. But he said to them in response: “Do you see all these things? Amen I say to you, there shall not remain here stone upon stone, which is not torn down.”3Después, habiendo ido a sentarse en el Monte de los Olivos, se acercaron a Él sus discípulos en particular, y le dijeron: “Dinos cuándo sucederá esto, y cuál será la señal de tu advenimiento y de la consumación del siglo”. Then, when he was seated at the Mount of Olives, the disciples drew near to him privately, saying: “Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of your advent and of the consummation of the age?”4Jesús les respondió diciendo: “Cuidaos que nadie os engañe. And answering, Jesus said to them: “Pay attention, lest someone lead you astray.5Porque muchos vendrán bajo mi nombre, diciendo: “Yo soy el Cristo”, y a muchos engañarán. For many will come in my name saying, ‘I am the Christ.’ And they will lead many astray.6Oiréis también hablar de guerras y rumores de guerras. ¡Mirad que no os turbéis! Esto, en efecto, debe suceder, pero no es todavía el fin. For you will hear of battles and rumors of battles. Take care not to be disturbed. For these things must be, but the end is not so soon.7Porque se levantará pueblo contra pueblo, reino contra reino, y habrá en diversos lugares hambres y pestes y terremotos. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be pestilences, and famines, and earthquakes in places.8Todo esto es el comienzo de los dolores”. But all these things are just the beginning of the sorrows.9“Después os entregarán a la tribulación y os matarán y seréis odiados de todos los pueblos por causa de mi nombre. Then they will hand you over to tribulation, and they will kill you. And you will be hated by all nations for the sake of my name.10Entonces se escandalizarán muchos, y mutuamente se traicionarán y se odiarán. And then many will be led into sin, and will betray one another, and will have hatred for one another.11Surgirán numerosos falsos profetas, que arrastrarán a muchos al error; And many false prophets will arise, and they will lead many astray.12y por efecto de los excesos de la iniquidad, la caridad de los más se enfriará. And because iniquity has abounded, the charity of many will grow cold.13Mas el que perseverare hasta el fin, ese será salvo. But whoever will have persevered until the end, the same shall be saved.14Y esta Buena Nueva del Reino será proclamada en el mundo entero, en testimonio a todos los pueblos. Entonces vendrá el fin. And this Gospel of the kingdom shall be preached throughout the entire world, as a testimony to all nations. And whoever is in the field, let him not turn back to take his tunic.19¡Ay de las que estén encintas y de las que críen en aquel tiempo! So then, woe to those who are pregnant or nursing in those days.20Rogad, pues, para que vuestra huida no acontezca en invierno ni en día de sábado. But pray that your flight may not be in winter, or on the Sabbath.21Porque habrá, entonces, grande tribulación, cual no la hubo desde el principio del mundo hasta ahora, ni la habrá más. For then there will be a great tribulation, such as has not been from the beginning of the world until the present, and such as will not be.22Y si aquellos días no fueran acortados, nadie se salvaría; mas por razón de los elegidos serán acortados esos días. And unless those days had been shortened, no flesh would be saved. But for the sake of the elect, those days shall be shortened.23Si entonces os dicen: “Ved, el Cristo está aquí o allá”, no lo creáis. Then if anyone will have said to you, ‘Behold, here is the Christ,’ or ‘he is there,’ do not be willing to believe it.24Porque surgirán falsos cristos y falsos profetas, y harán cosas estupendas y prodigios, hasta el punto de desviar, si fuera posible, aún a los elegidos. For there will arise false Christs and false prophets. And they will produce great signs and wonders, so much so as to lead into error even the elect (if this could be).25¡Mirad que os lo he predicho! Behold, I have warned you beforehand.26Por tanto, si os dicen: “Está en el desierto”, no salgáis; “está en las bodegas”, no lo creáis. Therefore, if they will have said to you, ‘Behold, he is in the desert,’ do not choose to go out, or, ‘Behold, he is in the inner rooms,’ do not be willing to believe it.27Porque, así como el relámpago sale del Oriente y brilla hasta el Poniente, así será la Parusía del Hijo del Hombre. For just as lightning goes out from the east, and appears even in the west, so shall it be also at the advent of the Son of man.28Allí donde esté el cuerpo, allí se juntarán las águilas”. Wherever the body shall be, there also will the eagles be gathered together.29“Inmediatamente después de la tribulación de aquellos días el sol se oscurecerá, y la luna no dará más su fulgor, los astros caerán del cielo, y las potencias de los cielos serán conmovidas. And immediately after the tribulation of those days, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.30Entonces aparecerá en el cielo la señal del Hijo del Hombre, y entonces se lamentarán todas las tribus de la tierra, y verán al Hijo del Hombre viniendo sobre las nubes del cielo con Poder y gloria grande. And then the sign of the Son of man shall appear in heaven. And then all tribes of the earth shall mourn. And they shall see the Son of man coming on the clouds of heaven, with great power and majesty.31Y enviará sus ángeles con trompeta de sonido grande, y juntarán a los elegidos de Él de los cuatro vientos, de una extremidad del cielo hasta la otra”. And he shall send out his Angels with a trumpet and a great voice. And they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the heights of the heavens, even to their furthest limits.32“De la higuera aprended esta semejanza: cuando ya sus ramas se ponen tiernas, y sus hojas brotan, conocéis que está cerca el verano. Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.36“Mas en cuanto al día aquel y a la hora, nadie sabe, ni los ángeles del cielo, sino el Padre solo. But concerning that day and hour, no one knows, not even the Angels of the heavens, but only the Father.37Y como sucedió en tiempo de Noé, así será la Parusía del Hijo del Hombre. And just as in the days of Noah, so also will be the advent of the Son of man.38Porque así como en el tiempo que precedió al diluvio, comían, bebían, tomaban en matrimonio y daban en matrimonio, hasta el día en que entró Noé en el arca, For it will be just as it was in the days before the flood: eating and drinking, marrying and being given in marriage, even until that day when Noah entered into the ark.39y no conocieron hasta que vino el diluvio y se los llevó a todos, así será también la Parusía del Hijo del Hombre. Two women will be grinding at a millstone: one will be taken up, and one will be left behind.42“Velad, pues, porque no sabéis en qué día vendrá vuestro Señor. Therefore, be vigilant. For you do not know at what hour your Lord will return.43Comprended bien esto, porque si supiera el amo de casa a qué hora de la noche el ladrón había de venir, velaría ciertamente y no dejaría horadar su casa. But know this: if only the father of the family knew at what hour the thief would arrive, he would certainly keep vigil and not permit his house to be broken into.44Por eso, también vosotros estad prontos, porque a la hora que no pensáis, vendrá el Hijo del Hombre. For this reason, you also must be prepared, for you do not know at what hour the Son of man will return.45¿Quién es, pues, el siervo fiel y prudente, a quien puso el Señor sobre su servidumbre para darles el alimento a su tiempo? Consider this: who is a faithful and prudent servant, who has been appointed by his lord over his family, to give them their portion in due time?46¡Feliz el servidor aquel, a quien su señor al venir hallare obrando así! Blessed is that servant, if, when his lord has arrived, he shall find him doing so.47En verdad, os digo, lo pondrá sobre toda su hacienda. Amen I say to you, he shall appoint him over all of his goods.48Pero si aquel siervo malo dice en su corazón: “Se me retrasa el señor”, But if that evil servant has said in his heart, ‘My lord has been delayed in returning,’49y se pone a golpear a sus consiervos y a comer y a beber con los borrachos; and so, he begins to strike his fellow servants, and he eats and drinks with the inebriated:50volverá el señor de aquel siervo en día que no espera, y en hora que no sabe, then the lord of that servant will arrive on a day that he does not expect, and at an hour that he does not know.51y lo separará y le asignará su suerte con los hipócritas; allí será el llanto y el rechinar de dientes”. And he shall separate him, and he shall place his portion with the hypocrites, where there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”
