1Dije yo: ¡Oíd, cabezas de Jacob, y caudillos de la casa de Israel! ¿Acaso no os toca a vosotros saber lo que es justo? And I said: Listen, leaders of Jacob and chiefs of the house of Israel. Does it not belong to you to know judgment,2Aborrecéis el bien y amáis el mal, les arrancáis la piel y la carne de encima de sus huesos. you who hold hatred for good, and love evil, who violently steal their skins from over them and their flesh from over their bones?3Pues devoran la carne de mi pueblo, le arrancan la piel y le rompen los huesos; lo hacen pedazos como lo que está en la olla, y como la carne en la caldera. They have devoured the flesh of my people, and have stripped their skin from over them, and they have shattered and chopped their bones, as if for the kettle, and like flesh in the middle of the pot.4Entonces clamarán a Yahvé, y Él no les responderá; pues en aquel tiempo ocultará de ellos su rostro por las malas obras que hicieron. Then they will cry out to the Lord, and he will not heed them. And he will hide his face from them in that time, just as they have acted wickedly with their inventions.5Esto dice Yahvé contra los profetas que seducen a mi pueblo, que muerden con los dientes y claman: “¡Paz!”, y declaran la guerra al que no les llena la boca. Thus says the Lord about the prophets who seduce my people: They bite with their teeth and preach peace, and if anyone does not give something to their mouth, they sanctify a battle against him.6Por eso tendréis noche en lugar de visión, y tinieblas en vez de adivinación; se pondrá el sol para esos profetas, y se les oscurecerá el día. Because of this, night will be yours for vision, and darkness yours for divination, and the sun will meet with death over the prophets, and the day will be darkened over them.7Quedarán avergonzados los videntes y confundidos los adivinos; y se cubrirán la barba todos ellos, porque no habrá respuesta de Dios. And those who see visions will be confounded, and the diviners will be confounded. And they will all cover their faces, because there is no response from God.8Yo, en cambio, estoy lleno de poder, lleno del Espíritu de Yahvé, de juicio y de fortaleza, para decir a Jacob sus prevaricaciones, y a Israel sus pecados. Nevertheless, truly I have been filled with the strength of the Spirit of the Lord, with judgment and virtue, in order to announce to Jacob his wickedness and to Israel his sin.9Escuchad, pues, esto, cabezas de la casa de Jacob y caudillos de la casa de Israel; los que abomináis la justicia y pervertís todo lo que es recto; Hear this, leaders of the house of Jacob and judges of the house of Israel, you who abominate judgment and who pervert all that is right.10que edificáis a Sión con sangre, y a Jerusalén con injusticia. You build up Zion with blood, and Jerusalem with iniquity.11Sus jefes juzgan aceptando dádivas, sus sacerdotes enseñan por salario, sus profetas adivinan por dinero, y se apoyan en Yahvé, diciendo: “¿Acaso no está Yahvé entre nosotros? ¡Sobre nosotros no vendrá ningún mal!” Her leaders have judged for tributes, and her priests have taught for payment, and her prophets divined for money. And they leaned upon the Lord, saying: “Is not the Lord in our midst? No disaster will overcome us.”12Por eso, por culpa vuestra, Sión será arada como un campo; Jerusalén será un montón de escombros, y el monte del Templo una colina cubierta de selva. For this reason, because of you, Zion will be plowed under like a field, and Jerusalem will become like a pile of stones, and the mountain of the temple like the high places of the forests.
