1Pasado el sábado, María la Magdalena, María la de Santiago y Salomé compraron aromas, para ir a ungirlo. And when the Sabbath had passed, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome bought aromatic spices, so that when they arrived they could anoint Jesus.2Y muy de madrugada, el primer día de la semana, llegaron al sepulcro, al salir el sol. And very early in the morning, on the first of the Sabbaths, they went to the tomb, the sun having now risen.3Y se decían unas a otras: “¿Quién nos removerá la piedra de la entrada del sepulcro?” And they said to one another, “Who will roll back the stone for us, away from the entrance of the tomb?”4Y al mirar, vieron que la piedra había ya sido removida, y era en efecto sumamente grande. And looking, they saw that the stone was rolled back. For certainly it was very large.5Y entrando en el sepulcro vieron, sentado a la derecha, a un joven vestido con una larga túnica blanca, y quedaron llenas de estupor. And upon entering the tomb, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, covered with a white robe, and they were astonished.6Mas él les dijo: “No tengáis miedo. A Jesús buscáis, el Nazareno crucificado; resucitó, no está aquí. Ved el lugar donde lo habían puesto. And he said to them, “Do not become frightened. You are seeking Jesus of Nazareth, the Crucified One. He has risen. He is not here. Behold, the place where they laid him.7Pero id a decir a los discípulos de Él y a Pedro: va delante de vosotros a la Galilea; allí lo veréis, como os dijo”. But go, tell his disciples and Peter that he is going before you into Galilee. There you shall see him, just as he told you.”8Ellas salieron huyendo del sepulcro porque estaban dominadas por el temor y el asombro; y no dijeron nada a nadie, a causa del miedo. But they, going out, fled from the tomb. For trembling and fear had overwhelmed them. And they said nothing to anyone. For they were afraid.9Resucitado, pues, temprano, el primer día de la semana, se apareció primeramente a María la Magdalena, de la cual había echado siete demonios. But he, rising early on the first Sabbath, appeared first to Mary Magdalene, from whom he had cast out seven demons.10Ella fue y lo anunció a los que habían estado con Él, que se hallaban afligidos y llorando. She went and announced it to those who had been with him, while they were mourning and weeping.11Pero ellos al oír que vivía y que había sido visto por ella, no creyeron. And they, upon hearing that he was alive and that he had been seen by her, did not believe it.12Después de estas cosas se mostró en el camino, con otra figura, a dos de ellos, que iban a una granja. But after these events, he was shown in another likeness to two of them walking, as they were going out to the countryside.13Estos también fueron a anunciarlo a los demás; pero tampoco a ellos les creyeron. And they, returning, reported it to the others; neither did they believe them.14Por último, se les apareció a los once mientras comían y les echó en cara su falta de fe y dureza de corazón porque no habían creído a los que lo habían visto a Él resucitado de entre los muertos. Finally, he appeared to the eleven, as they sat at table. And he rebuked them for their incredulity and hardness of heart, because they did not believe those who had seen that he had risen again.15Y les dijo: “Id por el mundo entero, predicad el Evangelio a toda la creación. And he said to them: “Go forth to the whole world and preach the Gospel to every creature.16Quien creyere y fuere bautizado, será salvo; mas, quien no creyere, será condenado. Whoever will have believed and been baptized will be saved. Yet truly, whoever will not have believed will be condemned.17Y he aquí los milagros que acompañarán a los que creyeren: en mi nombre expulsarán demonios, hablarán nuevas lenguas, Now these signs will accompany those who believe. In my name, they shall cast out demons. They will speak in new languages.18tomarán las serpientes; y si bebieren algo mortífero no les hará daño alguno; sobre los enfermos pondrán sus manos y sanarán”. They will take up serpents, and, if they drink anything deadly, it will not harm them. They shall lay their hands upon the sick, and they will be well.”19Y el Señor Jesús, después de hablarles, fue arrebatado al cielo, y se sentó a la diestra de Dios. And indeed, the Lord Jesus, after he had spoken to them, was taken up into heaven, and he sits at the right hand of God.20En cuanto a ellos, fueron y predicaron por todas partes, asistiéndolos el Señor y confirmando la palabra con los milagros que la acompañaban. Then they, setting out, preached everywhere, with the Lord cooperating and confirming the word by the accompanying signs.
