Marcos 1
1Comienzo del Evangelio de Jesucristo, Hijo de Dios. The beginning of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.2Según lo que está escrito en Isaías, el profeta: “Mira que envío delante de Ti a mi mensajero, el cual preparará tu camino”. As it has been written by the prophet Isaiah: “Behold, I send my Angel before your face, who shall prepare your way before you.3“Voz de uno que clama en el desierto: Preparad el camino del Señor, enderezad sus sendas”. The voice of one crying out in the desert: Prepare the way of the Lord; make straight his paths.”4Estuvo Juan el Bautista bautizando en el desierto, y predicando el bautismo del arrepentimiento para perdón de pecados. John was in the desert, baptizing and preaching a baptism of repentance, as a remission of sins.5Y todos iban a él de toda la tierra de Judea y de Jerusalén y se hacían bautizar por él en el río Jordán, confesando sus pecados. And there went out to him all the region of Judea and all those of Jerusalem, and they were baptized by him in the river Jordan, confessing their sins.6Juan estaba vestido de pelos de camello y llevaba un ceñidor de cuero alrededor de sus lomos. Su alimento eran langostas y miel silvestre. And John was clothed with camel’s hair and with a leather belt around his waist. And he ate locusts and wild honey.7Y predicaba así: “Viene en pos de mí el que es más poderoso que yo, delante del cual yo no soy digno ni aun de inclinarme para desatar la correa de sus sandalias. And he preached, saying: “One stronger than me comes after me. I am not worthy to reach down and loosen the laces of his shoes.8Yo os he bautizado con agua, pero Él os bautizará con Espíritu Santo”. I have baptized you with water. Yet truly, he will baptize you with the Holy Spirit.”9Y sucedió que en aquellos días Jesús vino de Nazaret de Galilea, y se hizo bautizar por Juan en el Jordán. And it happened that, in those days, Jesus arrived from Nazareth of Galilee. And he was baptized by John in the Jordan.10Y al momento de salir del agua, vio entreabrirse los cielos, y al Espíritu que, en forma de paloma, descendía sobre Él. And immediately, upon ascending from the water, he saw the heavens opened and the Spirit, like a dove, descending, and remaining with him.11Y sonó una voz del cielo: “Tú eres el Hijo mío amado, en Ti me complazco”. And there was a voice from heaven: “You are my beloved Son; in you I am well pleased.”12Y en seguida el Espíritu lo llevó al desierto. And immediately the Spirit prompted him into the desert.13Y se quedó en el desierto cuarenta días, siendo tentado por Satanás; y estaba entre las fieras, y los ángeles le servían. And he was in the desert for forty days and forty nights. And he was tempted by Satan. And he was with the wild animals, and the Angels ministered to him.14Después que Juan hubo sido encarcelado, fue Jesús a Galilea, predicando la buena nueva de Dios, Then, after John was handed over, Jesus went into Galilee, preaching the Gospel of the kingdom of God,15y diciendo: “El tiempo se ha cumplido, y se ha acercado el reino de Dios. Arrepentíos y creed en el Evangelio”. and saying: “For the time has been fulfilled and the kingdom of God has drawn near. Repent and believe in the Gospel.”16Pasando a lo largo del mar de Galilea, vio a Simón y a Andrés, hermano de Simón, que echaban la red en el mar, pues eran pescadores. And passing by the shore of the Sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and his brother Andrew, casting nets into the sea, for they were fishermen.17Díjoles Jesús: “Venid, seguidme, y Yo os haré pescadores de hombres”. And Jesus said to them, “Come after me, and I will make you fishers of men.”18Y en seguida, dejando sus redes, lo siguieron. And at once abandoning their nets, they followed him.19Yendo un poco más adelante, vio a Santiago, hijo de Zebedeo, y a Juan su hermano, que estaban también en la barca, arreglando sus redes. And continuing on a little ways from there, he saw James of Zebedee and his brother John, and they were mending their nets in a boat.20Al punto los llamó; y ellos dejando a Zebedeo, su padre, en la barca con los jornaleros, lo siguieron. And immediately he called them. And leaving behind their father Zebedee in the boat with his hired hands, they followed him.21Entraron a Cafarnaúm; y luego, el día de sábado, entró en la sinagoga y se puso a enseñar. And they entered into Capernaum. And entering into the synagogue promptly on the Sabbaths, he taught them.22Y estaban asombrados por su doctrina; pues les enseñaba como quien tiene autoridad, y no como los escribas. And they were astonished over his doctrine. For he was teaching them as one who has authority, and not like the scribes.23Se encontraba en las sinagogas de ellos un hombre poseído por un espíritu inmundo, el cual gritó: And in their synagogue, there was a man with an unclean spirit; and he cried out,24“¿Qué tenemos que ver contigo, Jesús de Nazaret? ¿Has venido a perdernos? Te conozco quién eres: El Santo de Dios”. saying: “What are we to you, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are: the Holy One of God.”25Mas Jesús lo increpó diciendo: “¡Cállate y sal de él!” And Jesus admonished him, saying, “Be silent, and depart from the man.”26Entonces el espíritu inmundo, zamarreándolo y gritando muy fuerte salió de él. And the unclean spirit, convulsing him and crying out with a loud voice, departed from him.27Y todos quedaron llenos de estupor, tanto que discutían entre sí y decían: “¿Qué es esto? ¡Una doctrina nueva e impartida con autoridad! ¡Aun a los espíritus inmundos manda, y le obedecen!” And they were all so amazed that they inquired among themselves, saying: “What is this? And what is this new doctrine? For with authority he commands even the unclean spirits, and they obey him.”28Y pronto se extendió su fama por doquier, en todos los confines de Galilea. And his fame went out quickly, throughout the entire region of Galilee.29Luego que salieron de la sinagoga, vinieron a casa de Simón y Andrés, con Santiago y Juan. And soon after departing from the synagogue, they went into the house of Simon and Andrew, with James and John.30Y estaba la suegra de Simón en cama, con fiebre y al punto le hablaron de ella. But the mother-in-law of Simon lay ill with a fever. And at once they told him about her.31Entonces fue a ella, y tomándola de la mano, la levantó, y la dejó la fiebre, y se puso a servirles. And drawing near to her, he raised her up, taking her by the hand. And immediately the fever left her, and she ministered to them.32Llegada la tarde, cuando el sol se hubo puesto, le trajeron todos los enfermos y los endemoniados. Then, when evening arrived, after the sun had set, they brought to him all who had maladies and those who had demons.33Y toda la ciudad estaba agolpada a la puerta. And the entire city was gathered together at the door.34Sanó a muchos enfermos afligidos de diversas enfermedades y expulsó muchos demonios; pero no dejaba a los demonios hablar, porque sabían quién era Él. And he healed many who were troubled with various illnesses. And he cast out many demons, but he would not permit them to speak, because they knew him.35En la madrugada, siendo aún muy de noche, se levantó, salió y fue a un lugar desierto, y se puso allí a orar. And rising up very early, departing, he went out to a deserted place, and there he prayed.36Mas Simón partió en su busca con sus compañeros. And Simon, and those who were with him, followed after him.37Cuando lo encontraron, le dijeron: “Todos te buscan”. And when they had found him, they said to him, “For everyone is seeking you.”38Respondioles: “Vamos a otra parte, a las aldeas vecinas, para que predique allí también. Porque a eso salí”. And he said to them: “Let us go into the neighboring towns and cities, so that I may preach there also. Indeed, it was for this reason that I came.”39Y anduvo predicando en sus sinagogas, por toda la Galilea y expulsando a los demonios. And he was preaching in their synagogues and throughout all of Galilee, and casting out demons.40Vino a Él un leproso, le suplicó y arrodillándose, le dijo: “Si quieres, puedes limpiarme”. And a leper came to him, begging him. And kneeling down, he said to him, “If you are willing, you are able to cleanse me.”41Entonces, Jesús, movido a compasión, alargó la mano, lo tocó y le dijo: “Quiero, sé sano”. Then Jesus, taking pity on him, reached out his hand. And touching him, he said to him: “I am willing. Be cleansed.”42Al punto lo dejó la lepra, y quedó sano. And after he had spoken, immediately the leprosy departed from him, and he was cleansed.43Y amonestándolo, le despidió luego, And he admonished him, and he promptly sent him away.44y le dijo: “¡Mira! No digas nada a nadie; mas anda a mostrarte al sacerdote, y presenta, por tu curación, la ofrenda que prescribió Moisés, para que les sirva de testimonio”. And he said to him: “See to it that you tell no one. But go and show yourself to the high priest, and offer for your cleansing that which Moses instructed, as a testimony for them.”45Pero él se fue y comenzó a publicar muchas cosas y a difundir la noticia, de modo que (Jesús) no podía ya entrar ostensiblemente en una ciudad, sino que se quedaba fuera, en lugares despoblados; y acudían a Él de todas partes. But having departed, he began to preach and to disseminate the word, so that he was no longer able to openly enter a city, but had to remain outside, in deserted places. And they were gathered to him from every direction.
