¹Habló Yahvé a Moisés y a Aarón, diciendo: And the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying:²“Los hijos de Israel acamparán cada cual junto a su bandera, bajo las enseñas de sus casas paternas; acamparán frente al Tabernáculo de la Reunión, todo en torno a él. “Each one shall make camp, by their troops, as well as by their insignia and standards, and by the houses of their kinships, all around the tabernacle of the covenant.”³Delante, al oriente, se fijará la bandera del campamento de Judá, según sus escuadrones, siendo el príncipe de los hijos de Judá, Naasón, hijo de Aminadab. To the east, Judah shall fix his tents, by the companies of his army. And the leader of his sons shall be Nahshon the son of Amminadab.⁴Su ejército es, según el censo, de setenta y cuatro mil seiscientos hombres. This is the number of the sons of Israel, of their army divided by the houses of their kinships and their companies: six hundred three thousand five hundred fifty.³³Los levitas no figuran en este censo de los hijos de Israel; así lo había mandado Yahvé a Moisés. But the Levites were not numbered among the sons of Israel. For so the Lord had instructed Moses.³⁴E hicieron los hijos de Israel conforme a todo lo que Yahvé había ordenado a Moisés: acampaban bajo sus banderas, y se ponían en marcha cada cual según su familia y su casa paterna. And the sons of Israel acted according to all the things that the Lord had commanded. They were encamped by their companies, and they advanced by the families and houses of their fathers.
