1Habló Yahvé a Moisés y a Aarón, diciendo: And the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying:2“Haced el censo de los hijos de Caat, de entre los hijos de Leví, según sus familias y casas paternas, “Take a total of the sons of Kohath from the midst of the Levites, by their houses and families,3de treinta años para arriba, hasta los cincuenta, todos los que han de prestar servicio o ejercer alguna función en el Tabernáculo de la Reunión. from thirty years and above, even to the fiftieth year, of all who enter so as to stand and minister in the tabernacle of the covenant.4He aquí el oficio de los hijos de Caat relativo al Tabernáculo de la Reunión, el Santo de los Santos: This is the service of the sons of Kohath: the tabernacle of the covenant and the Holy of holies.5Siempre que haya de levantarse el campamento, entrará Aarón con sus hijos, para bajar la cortina del velo y cubrir con ella el Arca del Testimonio. Aaron and his sons shall enter, when the camp is going to move, and they shall take down the veil, which hangs before the entrance, and they shall wrap the ark of the testimony in it,6Pondrán encima una cubierta de pieles de tejón, sobre la cual extenderán un paño todo de jacinto, y colocarán las varas. and they shall cover it further with a veil of violet skins, and they shall extend over it a cloth made entirely of hyacinth, and they shall draw in the bars.7También sobre la mesa de la proposición extenderán un paño de jacinto, sobre el cual pondrán los platos, las cucharas, las tazas y las copas para las libaciones, quedando encima el pan perpetuo. Likewise, they shall wrap the table of the presence in a cloth of hyacinth, and they shall place with it the censers and little mortars, the cups and bowls for pouring out libations; the bread shall be always on it.8Sobre ellos tenderán un paño carmesí, cubriéndolo con una cubierta de pieles de tejón, y colocarán las varas. And they shall extend over it a cloth of scarlet, which they shall further cover with a veil of violet skins, and they shall draw in the bars.9Luego tomarán una tela de jacinto con que cubrirán el candelabro del alumbrado, con sus lámparas, sus despabiladeras, sus platillos, y todos sus vasos para el aceite, todo lo necesario para su servicio. They shall take also a cloth of hyacinth, with which they shall cover the lampstand with the lamps, and its tongs, and the candle snuffers, and all the vessels of oil, which are necessary for the preparation of the lamps.10Lo envolverán, con todos sus utensilios, en una cubierta de pieles de tejón, y lo pondrán sobre las angarillas. And over all this they shall place a covering of violet skins, and they shall draw in the bars.11También sobre el altar de oro tenderán un paño de jacinto, que cubrirán con una cubierta de pieles de tejón; y colocarán las varas. And certainly they shall wrap the golden altar in a hyacinth garment, and they shall extend over it a covering of violet skins, and they shall draw in the bars.12Luego tomarán todos los utensilios que se usan para el servicio del Santuario, los envolverán en un paño de jacinto, cubriéndolos con una cubierta de pieles de tejón, y los pondrán sobre las angarillas. All the vessels with which they minister in the Sanctuary they shall wrap in a cloth of hyacinth, and they shall extend over it a covering of violet skins, and they shall draw in the bars.13Después quitarán las cenizas del altar, sobre el cual extenderán un paño de púrpura; Moreover, they shall cleanse the altar of ashes, and they shall wrap it in a purple garment,14pondrán encima todos los utensilios necesarios para su servicio: los braseros, los tenedores, las paletas, los tazones, todos los utensilios del altar, extenderán sobre él una cubierta de pieles de tejón y colocarán sus varas. and they shall place it with all the vessels which they use in its ministry, that is, receptacles for fire, small hooks as well as forks, larger hooks and shovels. They shall cover all the vessels of the altar together with a veil of violet skins, and they shall draw in the bars.15Cuando Aarón y sus hijos hayan acabado de cubrir el Santuario y todos los enseres del Santuario y se levante el campamento, se llegarán los hijos de Caat para alzarlos; mas no tocarán el Santuario, no sea que mueran. Esto es lo que toca a los hijos de Caat (en el transporte) del Tabernáculo de la Reunión. And when Aaron and his sons have wrapped the Sanctuary and its vessels at the dismantling of the camp, then the sons of Kohath shall enter, so as to carry what has been wrapped. And they shall not touch the vessels of the Sanctuary, lest they die. These are the burdens of the sons of Kohath concerning the tabernacle of the covenant.16Eleazar, hijo de Aarón el sacerdote, tendrá a su cargo el aceite del alumbrado, el incienso aromático, la oblación perpetua, el óleo de la unción, el cuidado de toda la Morada y de todo lo perteneciente a ella, de (todo) el Santuario con sus utensilios.” Over them shall be Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, to whom belongs the care of the oil to prepare the lamps, and the incense compound, and the sacrifice, which is offered continually, and the oil of unction, and whatever pertains to the service of the tabernacle, and all the vessels that are in the Sanctuary.”17Yahvé habló a Moisés y a Aarón, diciendo: And the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying:18“No permitáis que el linaje de las familias de los caatitas sea extirpado de en medio de los levitas. “Do not be willing to lose the people of Kohath from the midst of the Levites.19Para que vivan y no mueran, cuando se lleguen a las cosas santísimas, haced con ellos de esta manera: Aarón y sus hijos vendrán y señalarán a cada uno su servicio y lo que ha de transportar. But do this for them, so that they may live, and so that they may not die by touching the Holies of holies. Aaron and his sons shall enter, and they shall assign the work of each one, and they shall determine what each one ought to carry.20Pero ellos no deben entrar, ni aun por un solo instante, para ver las cosas santas, no sea que mueran.” Let no others, out of curiosity, see the things that are in the Sanctuary before they are wrapped, otherwise they shall die.”21Yahvé habló a Moisés, diciendo: And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:22“Haz también el censo de los hijos de Gersón, según sus casas paternas y sus familias. “Now also take a total of the sons of Gershon, by their houses and families and kinships,23Desde treinta años para arriba, hasta los cincuenta los contarás a todos los que han de prestar servicio o ejercer alguna función en el Tabernáculo de la Reunión. from thirty years and above, even to fifty years. Number all those who enter and minister in the tabernacle of the covenant.24He aquí el cargo de las familias de los gersonitas, tanto en el servicio como en el transporte. This is the duty of the family of the Gershonites:25Llevarán las cortinas de la Morada y el Tabernáculo de la Reunión, su cubierta, la cubierta de pieles de tejón que está encima de aquella, el velo que se halla en la entrada del Tabernáculo de la Reunión, to carry the curtains of the tabernacle, and the roof of the covenant, the other covering, and the veil over everything, and the violet tent, which hangs at the entrance of the tabernacle of the covenant,26las cortinas del atrio y la cortina de la puerta de la entrada del atrio que rodea la Morada y el altar, con sus cuerdas y todos los utensilios de su servicio; harán todo lo referente a su servicio. the curtains of the atrium, and the veil at the entrance, which is before tabernacle. Everything that pertains to the altar, the cords, and the vessels of the ministry27Todo el servicio de los gersonitas, en todo lo que han de transportar o de ejecutar, estará a las órdenes de Aarón y de sus hijos. Vosotros les señalaréis lo que es de su obligación, todo lo que han de transportar. the sons of Gershon shall carry, under the orders of Aaron and his sons. And so shall each one know to which burden he ought to surrender.28Este es el servicio de las familias de los gersonitas, relativo al Tabernáculo de la Reunión; el servicio de ellos estará bajo la dirección de Itamar, hijo del sacerdote Aarón. This is the service of the family of the Gershonites, in the tabernacle of the covenant, and they shall be under the hand of Ithamar, the son of Aaron the priest.29Haz también el censo de los hijos de Merarí según sus familias y sus casas paternas, Likewise, you shall take a census of the sons of Merari, by the families and houses of their fathers,30contándolos desde los treinta años para arriba, hasta los cincuenta, a todos los que han de prestar servicio o ejercer alguna función en el Tabernáculo de la Reunión. from thirty years and above, even to fifty years, of all who enter to the office of their ministry and to the service of the covenant of the testimony.31He aquí los objetos del Tabernáculo de la Reunión, que tienen que llevar en todo su servicio: los tablones de la Morada, sus travesaños, sus columnas y sus basas, These are their burdens: They shall carry the panels of the tabernacle and its bars, the columns and their bases,32las columnas que rodean el atrio, sus basas, estacas y cuerdas, todos sus utensilios, y todo lo perteneciente a su servicio. Les señalaréis por nombre los objetos que tienen que transportar. also the columns surrounding the atrium, with their bases and tent pegs and cords. They shall accept by number all the vessels and articles, and so shall they carry them.33Este es el oficio de las familias de los hijos de Merarí, conforme a todo su servicio en el Tabernáculo de la Reunión, bajo la dirección de Itamar, hijo de Aarón el sacerdote.” This is the office of the family of the Merarites, and their ministry for the tabernacle of the covenant. And they shall be under the hand of Ithamar, the son of Aaron the priest.”34Moisés y Aarón y los príncipes de la Congregación contaron a los caatitas, según sus familias y sus casas paternas, Therefore, Moses and Aaron, and the leaders of the assembly, took a census of the sons of Kohath, by the kinships and houses of their fathers,35de treinta años para arriba, hasta los cincuenta, a todos los que habían de prestar servicio o ejercer alguna función en el Tabernáculo de la Reunión. from thirty years and above, even to the fiftieth year, of all who enter to the ministry of the tabernacle of the covenant.36Y fueron los empadronados, según sus familias, dos mil setecientos cincuenta. And there were found two thousand seven hundred fifty.37Estos fueron los empadronados de las familias de los caatitas, todos aquellos que servían en el Tabernáculo de la Reunión, a quienes contaron Moisés y Aarón, conforme a la orden que Yahvé había dado por boca de Moisés. This is the number of the people of Kohath, who enter the tabernacle of the covenant. These Moses and Aaron numbered according to the word of the Lord by the hand of Moses.38Los empadronados de los hijos de Gersón, contados según sus familias y sus casas paternas, The sons of Gershon also were numbered by the kinships and houses of their fathers,39de treinta años para arriba, hasta los cincuenta, todos los que habían de prestar servicio o ejercer alguna función en el Tabernáculo de la Reunión; from thirty years and above, even to the fiftieth year, all who enter so as to minister in the tabernacle of the covenant.40esos, empadronados según sus familias y sus casas paternas, fueron dos mil seiscientos treinta. And there were found two thousand six hundred thirty.41Estos son los empadronados de las familias de los hijos de Gersón, todos aquellos que servían en el Tabernáculo de la Reunión, a quienes Moisés y Aarón contaron por orden de Yahvé. This is the people of the Gershonites, whom Moses and Aaron numbered according to the word of the Lord.42Los empadronados de las familias de los hijos de Merarí, según sus familias y sus casas paternas, The sons of Merari also were numbered by the kinships and houses of their fathers,43de treinta años para arriba, hasta los cincuenta, todos los que habían de prestar algún servicio o ejercer alguna función en el Tabernáculo de la Reunión; from thirty years and above, even to the fiftieth year, all who enter to fulfill the rituals of the tabernacle of the covenant.44esos empadronados según sus familias, fueron tres mil doscientos. And there were found three thousand two hundred.45Estos son los empadronados de las familias de los hijos de Merarí, a quienes Moisés y Aarón contaron por orden de Yahvé dada a Moisés. This is the number of the sons of Merari, whom Moses and Aaron counted according to the command of the Lord by the hand of Moses.46El total de los levitas contados por Moisés y Aarón y los príncipes de Israel, según sus familias y sus casas paternas, All who were counted from the Levites, and whom, by name, Moses and Aaron, and the leaders of Israel, counted by the kinships and houses of their fathers,47de treinta años para arriba, hasta los cincuenta, todos aquellos que tenían una función en el servicio y en el transporte del Tabernáculo de la Reunión, from thirty years and above, until the fiftieth year, entering for the ministry of the tabernacle and carrying the burdens,48su número fue de ocho mil quinientos ochenta. were together eight thousand five hundred eighty.49Conforme a la orden de Yahvé dada a Moisés, este asignó a cada uno su ministerio y lo que había de transportar. Y los designados fueron aquellos que Yahvé había señalado a Moisés. Moses took a census of them, according to the word of the Lord, each one according to their office and their burdens, just as the Lord had instructed him.
