Filipenses 3
1Por lo demás, hermanos, alegraos en el Señor. No me pesa escribiros las mismas cosas, y para vosotros es de provecho; Concerning other things, my brothers, rejoice in the Lord. It is certainly not tiresome for me to write the same things to you, but for you, it is not necessary.2guardaos de los perros, guardaos de los malos obreros, guardaos de los mutilados. Beware of dogs; beware of those who work evil; beware of those who are divisive.3Porque la circuncisión somos nosotros los que adoramos a Dios en espíritu y ponemos nuestro orgullo en Cristo Jesús, sin poner nuestra confianza en la carne, For we are the circumcised, we who serve God in the Spirit and who glory in Christ Jesus, having no confidence in the flesh.4aunque yo tendría motivos para confiar aún en la carne. Si hay alguien que cree que puede confiar en la carne, más lo puedo yo: Nevertheless, I might have confidence also in the flesh, for if anyone else seems to have confidence in the flesh, more so do I.5circuncidado al octavo día, del linaje de Israel, de la tribu de Benjamín, hebreo de hebreos; en cuanto a la ley, fariseo; For I was circumcised on the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, from the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew among Hebrews. According to the law, I was a Pharisee;6en cuanto al celo, perseguidor de la Iglesia; e irreprensible en cuanto a la justicia de la Ley. according to zeal, I persecuted the Church of God; according to the justice that is in the law, I lived without blame.7Pero estas cosas que a mis ojos eran ganancia, las he tenido por daño a causa de Cristo. But the things which had been to my gain, the same have I considered a loss, for the sake of Christ.8Más aún, todo lo tengo por daño a causa de la preexcelencia del conocimiento de Cristo Jesús, mi Señor. Por Él lo perdí todo; y todo lo tengo por basura con tal de ganar a Cristo Yet truly, I consider everything to be a loss, because of the preeminent knowledge of Jesus Christ, my Lord, for whose sake I have suffered the loss of everything, considering it all to be like dung, so that I may gain Christ,9y en Él hallarme —no teniendo justicia mía, la de la Ley, sino la que es por la fe en Cristo, la justicia que viene de Dios fundada sobre la fe and so that you may be found in him, not having my justice, which is of the law, but that which is of the faith of Christ Jesus, the justice within faith, which is of God.10de conocerlo a Él y la virtud de su Resurrección y la participación de sus padecimientos— conformado a la muerte Suya, So shall I know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his Passion, having been fashioned according to his death,11por si puedo alcanzar la resurrección, la que es de entre los muertos. if, by some means, I might attain to the resurrection which is from the dead.12No es que lo haya conseguido ya, o que ya esté yo perfecto, antes bien sigo por si logro asir aquello para lo cual Cristo Jesús me ha asido a mí. It is not as though I have already received this, or were already perfect. But rather I pursue, so that by some means I might attain, that in which I have already been attained by Christ Jesus.13No creo, hermanos, haberlo asido; mas hago una sola cosa: olvidando lo que dejé atrás y lanzándome a lo de adelante, Brothers, I do not consider that I have already attained this. Instead, I do one thing: forgetting those things that are behind, and extending myself toward those things that are ahead,14corro derecho a la meta, hacia el trofeo de la vocación superior de Dios en Cristo Jesús. I pursue the destination, the prize of the heavenly calling of God in Christ Jesus.15Todos los que estamos maduros tengamos este sentir; y si en algo pensáis de diferente manera, también sobre eso os ilustrará Dios. Therefore, as many of us as are being perfected, let us agree about this. And if in anything you disagree, God will reveal this to you also.16Mas, en lo que hayamos ya alcanzado, sigamos adelante [en un mismo sentir]. Yet truly, whatever point we reach, let us be of the same mind, and let us remain in the same rule.17Sed conmigo imitadores, hermanos, observad bien a los que se comportan según el ejemplo que tenéis en nosotros. Be imitators of me, brothers, and observe those who are walking similarly, just as you have seen by our example.18Porque muchos de los que andan son —como a menudo os lo he dicho y ahora lo repito con lágrimas— enemigos de la cruz de Cristo, For many persons, about whom I have often told you (and now tell you, weeping,) are walking as enemies of the cross of Christ.19cuyo fin es la perdición, cuyo dios es el vientre y cuya gloria es su vergüenza, teniendo el pensamiento puesto en lo terreno. Their end is destruction; their god is their belly; and their glory is in their shame: for they are immersed in earthly things.20En cambio la ciudadanía nuestra es en los cielos, de donde también, como Salvador, estamos aguardando al Señor Jesucristo; But our way of life is in heaven. And from heaven, too, we await the Savior, our Lord Jesus Christ,21el cual vendrá a transformar el cuerpo de la humillación nuestra conforme al cuerpo de la gloria Suya, en virtud del poder de Aquel que es capaz para someterle a Él mismo todas las cosas. who will transform the body of our lowliness, according to the form of the body of his glory, by means of that power by which he is even able to subject all things to himself.
