Salmos 108

1Al maestro de coro. De David. Salmo. Oh Dios, Gloria mía, no enmudezcas, Unto the end. A Psalm of David.2porque bocas impías y dolosas se han abierto contra mí y me hablan con lengua pérfida. O God, do not be silent toward my praise, for the mouth of the sinner and the mouth of the deceitful one have been opened against me.3Me asedian con odiosos discursos, me combaten sin motivo. They have spoken against me with deceitful tongues, and they have surrounded me with hateful words, and they fought against me over nothing.4Por lo que me debieran amar, me acusan, y yo hago oración. Instead of choosing to act on my behalf, they detracted me. But I gave myself to prayer.5Me devuelven mal por bien, y odio a cambio de mi amor. And they set evil against me, instead of good, and hatred, in return for my love.6Ponlo bajo la mano de un impío, con el acusador a su derecha. Establish the sinner over him, and let the devil stand at his right hand.7Cuando se le juzgue, salga condenado, y su oración sea pecado. When he is judged, may he go forth in condemnation, and may his prayer be counted as sin.8Acórtense sus días, y otro reciba su ministerio. May his days be few, and let another take his episcopate.9Que sus hijos queden huérfanos y viuda su mujer. May his sons be orphans, and his wife a widow.10Anden sus hijos mendigando, errantes, arrojados de sus casas destruidas. May his sons be carried by those who walk unsteadily, and may they go begging. And may they be cast out of their dwelling places.11El usurero aseche todos sus bienes, y sea presa de los extraños el fruto de su trabajo. May the money lenders scrutinize all his belongings, and let foreigners plunder his labors.12Nadie le muestre misericordia y ninguno se compadezca de sus huérfanos. May there be no one to assist him, nor anyone to be compassionate to his orphaned children.13Sea su posteridad entregada al exterminio, extíngase su nombre en la primera generación. May his posterity be in utter ruin. In one generation, may his name be wiped away.14La culpa de sus padres sea recordada [por Yahvé], y el pecado de su madre no se borre. May the iniquity of his fathers return in memory before the sight of the Lord, and do not let the sin of his mother be wiped away.15Estén siempre ante los ojos de Yahvé, para que Él quite de la tierra su memoria; May these be opposite the Lord always, but let their memory perish from the earth.16pues no pensó en usar de misericordia, sino que persiguió al infortunado, al pobre, al afligido de corazón, para darle el golpe de muerte. For certain things are not remembered about them, in order to be merciful.17Amó la maldición. ¡Cáigale encima! No quiso la bendición. ¡Apártese de él! And so the destitute man was pursued, with the beggar and the remorseful in heart, so as to be put to death.18Se revistió de maldición como de una túnica; y le penetró como agua en sus entrañas, y como aceite en sus huesos. And he loved a curse, and it came to him. And he was unwilling to have a blessing, and it went far from him. And he clothed himself with curses like a garment, and it entered his inner self like water, and it entered his bones like oil.19Séale como manto que lo cubra, y como cinto con que siempre se ciña. May it be to him like a garment that covers him, and like a belt that always cinches him.20Tal pago tengan [de Yahvé] los que me acusan y los que profieren maldiciones contra mí. This is the work of those who detract me with the Lord and who speak evils against my soul.21Mas Tú, Yahvé, Señor mío, haz conmigo según la gloria de tu Nombre; sálvame, pues tu bondad es misericordiosa. But as for you, Lord, O Lord: act on my behalf for your name’s sake. For your mercy is sweet.22Porque yo soy un infortunado y pobre, y llevo en mí el corazón herido. Free me, for I am destitute and poor, and my heart has been disquieted within me.23Como sombra que declina, me voy desvaneciendo; soy arrojado como la langosta. I have been taken away like a shadow when it declines, and I have been shaken off like locusts.24Mis rodillas vacilan, debilitadas por el ayuno, y mi carne, enflaquecida, desfallece. My knees have been weakened by fasting, and my flesh has been replaced by oil.25Y he venido a ser el escarnio de ellos; me miran, y hacen meneos de cabeza. And I have become a disgrace to them. They saw me, and they shook their heads.26Ayúdame, Yahvé, Dios mío, sálvame conforme a tu misericordia. Help me, O Lord, my God. Save me according to your mercy.27Y sepan que aquí está tu mano, y que eres Tú, Yahvé, quien lo ha hecho. And let them know that this is your hand, and that you, O Lord, have done this.28Que ellos maldigan, pero Tú bendíceme. Véanse confundidos los que contra mí se levantan, mas alégrese tu siervo. They will curse, and you will bless. May those who rise up against me be confounded. But your servant will rejoice.29Sean cubiertos de ignominia los que me acusan, y envueltos en su confusión como en un manto. May those who detract me be clothed with shame, and may they be covered with their confusion, as if with a double cloak.30Mi boca rebosará de alabanzas a Yahvé; en medio de la gran multitud cantaré sus glorias; I will confess exceedingly to the Lord with my mouth. And I will praise him in the midst of the multitude.31porque Él se mantuvo a la derecha de este pobre para salvarlo de sus jueces. For he stands at the right hand of the poor, in order to save my soul from persecutors.
