1¡Hallelú Yah! Dichoso el hombre que teme a Yahvé, en sus preceptos halla el sumo deleite. Alleluia. Of the return of Haggai and Zachariah. Blessed is the man who fears the Lord. He will prefer his commandments exceedingly.2Su descendencia será poderosa sobre la tierra; la estirpe de los rectos es bendecida. His offspring will be powerful on the earth. The generation of the upright will be blessed.3En su casa hay bienestar y abundancia, y su justicia permanece para siempre. Glory and wealth will be in his house, and his justice shall remain from age to age.4Para los rectos brilla una luz en las tinieblas: el Clemente, el Misericordioso, el Justo. For the upright, a light has risen up in the darkness. He is merciful and compassionate and just.5Bien le va al hombre que se compadece y presta; reglará sus negocios con discreción; Pleasing is the man who shows mercy and lends. He will order his words with judgment.6nunca resbalará; el justo quedará en memoria eterna. For he will not be disturbed in eternity.7No temerá malas nuevas; su corazón está firme, confiado en Yahvé. The just one will be an everlasting memorial. He will not fear a report of disasters. His heart is prepared to hope in the Lord.8Su ánimo es constante, impávido, hasta ver confundidos a sus adversarios. His heart has been confirmed. He will not be disturbed, until he looks down upon his enemies.9Distribuye y da a los pobres largamente; su justicia permanece para siempre, su triunfo será exaltado con gloria. He has distributed, he has given to the poor. His justice shall remain from age to age. His horn shall be exalted in glory.10Lo verá el impío y se enfurecerá, se consumirá rechinando los dientes. Estéril será la envidia de los pecadores. The sinner will see and become angry. He will gnash his teeth and waste away. The desire of sinners will perish.
